hi! for those interested in my other music // multi-effect looping, check out the other items below. in the videos, i take things a little deeper looping wise. i.e., the use of the reverse function in 'reading my mind,' and the two separate Boss RC 20XL units in 'little gardens.' enjoy! :) studio album #1: album.link/us/i/1165592992 studio album #2: album.link/us/i/1447057361 "reading my mind" - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CADJDmUl8UE.html "little gardens" - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ynZwZtLxKFY.html
@@007samd it's an EHX Micro Pog. to get the sound i get, try palm muting with your strumming hand and plucking the notes. gets a very authentically bass-y sound :)
I said "WOW" out loud. A song performed by an entire band, with several instruments and voices playing at the same time, covered wonderfully by one guy with one guitar, looping fx, and lots of creativity.
Even more, its a piece that was originally composed for an entire orchestra, later adapted to be played by a 5 person guitar band, which he then adapted to be played by 1 person. And it still holds up.
I mean i also have this as one of my top 10 songs. Other candidates are: Yusuf Lateef - Love theme from spartacus ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dw9-BSiXc8Q.html Marvin Gaye - Inner city blues ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-p_PxgSQ9Vf4.html Elis Regina - Aguas de Marco ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WEuDVcXnElc.html Tribe Called Quest - Check the Rhime ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1QWEPdgS3As.html Debussy - First Arabesque (Solo Piano) - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-A6s49OKp6aE.html Nick Drake - Pink Moon ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gJ56Loi5x6k.html Natalia Lafourcade - Qué He Sacado Con Quererte ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-25KqxFtlwF8.html Jorge Ben - Oba, la vem ela! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BVHA2lHaeqk.html The last spot would probably go to Tool - Lateralus ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Y7JG63IuaWs.html or Alice Coltrane - Journey in Satchidananda ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TQtEFdyhgdE.html If not my definite top 10 then this is atleast a good bet, haha.
I commented about a year ago, but need to reiterate. It's the most amazing cover I've ever heard, and inspired me so much, when I showed my son the other night who's a very talented guitarist and vocalist, I gave him the money and he just bought a Boss RC 300 loop station. If he manages to create anything half as good as this I'll be a happy man. It's mine and my wife's favourite ever video on RU-vid, and I've been on RU-vid since it's inception. It brings us so much pleasure.
@@EricVitoff Hi again Eric. Thought I'd share this with you my son made, hope you enjoy. m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oLKqS22IcrQ.html
This is the first Radiohead 'one man band' I've ever seen & Weird Fishes happens to be my favourite track from the In Rainbows album. I do believe you totally nailed it, amazing talent ☺
Incredible performance! It appears, based on the three people clapping, that he was playing for just a few people. To give that level of greatness for a tiny crowd, a show worthy of a stadium, is amazing
This is the song that got me into Radiohead and I can safely say they are one of my favourite bands. They keep appearing throughout my life one way or another. last night I had some space cakes with my housemates and we all were abit out of it just talking and drinking. This track came on the spotify playlist that was playing through the tv and we all went silent and just listened closing our eyes. They aren't massive Radiohead fans but we all got lost into this song. A beautiful piece of music.
great to have the chance to share this experience with close ones, i feel radiohead hits home for many people, sometimes without them even realising. This prooves how much music and art affects us and i wish everyone could have the chance to feel something like this in their life... happy day to you ;)
In the deepest ocean The bottom of the sea Your eyes They turn me Why should I stay here? Why should I stay? I'd be crazy not to follow Follow where you lead Your eyes They turn me Turn me on to phantoms (way out) I follow to the edge of the Earth (way out, way out) And fall off Yeah, everybody leaves (way out) If they get the chance (way out) And this is my chance (way out) I get eaten by the worms And weird fishes Picked over by the worms And weird fishes Weird fishes Weird fishes I'll hit the bottom Hit the bottom and escape Escape I'll hit the bottom Hit the bottom and escape Escape
How does this not have 10M views?? Eric, what you are able to do with a single instrument and your voice to recreate one of the greatest songs ever is just incredible. Well done.
This video is an example of genius layered on genius. The song is better than any mortals deserve. Then Eric understands the song so well (no easy task) that he can do it live with one guitar and looping pedals. This is just astounding. Eric, if you read this, I bow with respect and gratitude.
Incredible! You are an inspiration for me. I believe you are one of the most skilled musicians I've ever seen or heard in my hole life and I really wish you were given lots of more credit for this. Keep doing what you love and please keep being this awesome
And there's a ton of them for just this one song, like Lianne De Havas (live in a colourful dress) and a french canadian (?) dude that also has a song called Nightcrawler.
My lord, the whole video itself it's so god damm well done, but the last part oh man it got me crying somehow, I even didn't notice when I started crying but that "hit the bottom to escape" this is fkn precious, beyond words for real.
The best Radiohead cover i have seen. Ever. And I have seen hundreds. Amazing work Eric. Thank you for the shivers down my spine for the entire seven minutes. ❤️
Omg. How amazing is this cover?!? I’m stunned at it! Total talent with the looping and the echo voice in the body of the guitar. Will come to this again and again and again! 👏🏼 🥰
Mad respect Eric, best cover I've ever heard of that by far. You must have practiced the hell out of it. Your subtle changes and adaptation form making the best of just guitar, loop pedal and vocal which was cleverly done, I mean the bass finished the loop like midway or something and then started at the beginning to complete. Serious dedication many clever ideas to make it work but more importantly the song still shone though and you did it proper justice man with your performance, hats off.
