any idea how to get that type bass, im sure there is a filter envelope shaping the bass with a quick attack and release. Any tips?

I'm not sure is I got your point correctly... You wanted to shape the bass in a way that it would sound and stop quickly, with a nice "attack and release" (?) as if it was a game played between both bass and kick. If this is what you wanted, then it is called "side chain". It is basically making the bass stop it's sound when the beat of the kick attacks. This also helps in mixing a lot, making all the individual tracks understandable. There's some plugins you can download or make it manually, just look it up. :)
