If you want weird games, the SEGA Saturn is a great place to look

The creator of the game is a very bizarre and interesting artist. He only made like 3 video games

It's how Nintendo just flat out had this released in Europe and not North America at all. They must have said this would damage them there or Americans can not handle this.

I recently played this game for the first time, my friend and I became infatuated with it, it's plodding and slow pace is so zen. It's intensely slow, but learning to mix Jashin's high jump with Doshin's ability ends up making a really dynamic experience. And the size mechanic is a great factor for his walk speed remaining the same, his heightened scale makes him faster. Combine that with the jump, and you're the spookiest monstrosity. It's also a fun tradeoff with the size making your awkward, toddler-like spirit of nature into more of a lumbering deity that will annihilate villages and families with one wrong step. Additionally, I'm glad that even though you weren't a lover of it, you could appreciate the art and the novelty.

I still have this game, I live in Ireland and despite it being realised in PAL regions I don’t remember seeing it in any shops here. I had to order it from a sketchy online shop from Spain back in like 2004! A really strange game, but I genuinely love it and put hours into it as a kid.

This truly is the Bionicle of Flat Earth games.

If you want something really weird, try Cubivore. It's a Nintendo game about a cube pig who journeys to become the strongest cube pig in the world and sets off to eat everyone in sight and have pig orgys. I'm not even making this up, it's disturbing!

I spent a lot of time on this game and kururin squash. Some of my favorite cube titles.
