Besides me being clickbaited with a front-facing SMB1 sprite when the actual thing is that there's some leftover code implying NSMBU moveset across styles (which BTW also finds resemblences in hidden assets in SMM1 on Wii U), this video is actually good.
Yeah, its seems the game was originally going to use the same Mario's moveset used in NSMBU game style, however it was scrapted, due of the developlers not having enough time to create new sprites for the other game styles. (SMB, SMB3 and SMW) This leftover code also exists in Mario Maker 1 too!
Honestly, clickbait like this I kinda understand, it's kinda like a visualisation of what the move would look like, which a still image of mario jumping wouldn't really get across. It's kinda like the thumbnail for Icay's "Dash Blocks in 2D styles" video

Die hammer bro uit ?-block-setup heb ik ooit is gezien bij een lvl van km-time uit holland. Maar heb die puur gecheesed. Nu pas heb ik door hoe ik zijn lvl zou moeten hebben gecleared :p. Meeer videoss!!
4:58 In the original SMB3 and GBA version, he would actually still be doing flips without the rainbow effect. This was easier to see with the Super Leaf as his animation didn't change when floating.
Yeah. 😅 Fun Fact: The GBA version has an bug with the color pallete after an starman is used once, the Mario's usual color pallete turns slightly lighter than normal after it runs out.
Its maybe because the 3.0.0 was declared as the final mayor update, and also because the Switch memory RAM was a bit too full to put any DLC content into the game.
@@IvanFranco120, the Switch RAM part makes perfect sense, but I still don't get why 3.0.0 was declared to be the last major update. Is the Switch RAM the only reason? 🤔
@@IvanFranco120, in the original game, this trick works with all white semisolid platforms in the game. But in World 1-3, it is possible to do this trick to unlock a secret warp wistle! 😀
What really irks me is how hell, even Nintendo themselves, don't use the correct front face. Dude, the 30th anniversary amiibo actually shows what it looks like, maybe use that for a change, eh?
@@SmashyYT, oh, thanks for letting me know! This is a useful information. BTW I don't have a Nintendo Switch, so I don't know what buttons make Mario spin-jump. But I'm assuming the buttons are ZL, ZR and A (I might be wrong, but that's what I'm assuming).
Hm no, you did have to hold right at 6:43, in order to reach the lava lifts; therefore, you are categorically and evidentially WRONG, my good sir, hm yes...
