Bill Paxton once told a story when he come down to Houston to film Apollo 13 he spent time at Johnson Space Center. He said when he made public appearances throughout Houston he always had someone scream out CHET in the crowd. He laughed when he told the story and said he never realized how big Weird Science had become. He was an awesome Texan!

I literally laugh at every single line Bill Paxton says in this movie - one of the funniest performances of all time In my book! What a phenomenal actor and he is still greatly missed by all film fans!
Actually saw this awesome movie back in the mid 80's, the settings couldn't have been more perfect. In my cousin super cool and comfortable furnished living room in the basement, on a snowy Saturday afternoon, good memories indeed. We are almost in 2016, and it's still my favorite movie ever!

This was one of my favourite movies growing up in the 80s, I've seen this movie so many times that I could literary recite the lines from this scene (so bloody funny). Rest in peace Bill, you were an absolute legend.
That line has been used so many times on movies, but this time; you are 100% accurate!!! Love this movie. Grew up on it. Probably my favorite of John Hughes movies. They literally don't make movies like this anymore.
Apparently part of this scene was meant to be cut out, but John Hughes decided to keep it instead- Anthony and Suzanne having a hard time staying in character :) love this film

I loved Bill Paxton in the movie Aliens. He was just one feature that put that movie over the top. His character was half wanna be badass and the other half surfer dude! RIP Bro... “Yeah! Let Bishop do it!”

I’ve always felt like the late great Bill Paxton was always more of a straight man..but every time I see this movie, I have to do a double take to remind me its him. Chet was absolutely the breakout star of Weird Science. “Do you think they’re having a good time being catatonic in a closet?” 😂
All the comic performances in this movie, even the minor ones, are spot on! Even the 2 girls Deb and Hilly here the way they react to all the weird stuff.
