@@anja6983 Well, "Dickmann" is just the company name. The old name is how those things used to be called in general (their current name btw is either Schokoküsse or Schaumküsse).
@@brandonedwards880 we call them klopfer, shots in bars and clubs are the same size here in germany, but at open events everyone downs these before entering the no glass zone
I have translated it into german: "Ich habe es schon einmal gefühlt, aber das Jolly-Logo ist eine kühle Wassermelone im Sommer, und jetzt ist es Herbst, also ist es eine sinnvolle Veränderung der Laubfarbe." in english i have felt it before, but the jolly-logo is a cool watermelon in summer and now it is autumn so it's a meaningful exchange in the colour of the leafs Das macht absolut Sinn! :D :D (it makes perfect sense) upvoted
Some of these must have been limited editions (like chicken nuggets chips), but for all the other stuff, i was so surprised that these were not universal: Dickmanns, apple chips, peanut flips, Mentos.
Karina Sanchez yeah he's married. i was surprised cause i thought priests couldn't get married but apparently if they were married before being ordained then they don't have to be celibate. this only applies if he's catholic tho, if he's from another christian denomination then it might not matter depending on which
@Karina Sanchez He's an Anglican - not Roman Catholic. The Anglican church is not in communion with Rome. Only Roman Catholics have strict celibacy. Anglicans, Eastern Catholics, and Orthodox priests can be married. I believe for Anglicans they can marry after ordainment as well, for the Orthodox/Eastern Catholic only before ordainment.
Aaaah I remember that Dickmann, in Slovakia we called them Čierny princ (Black prince) and as a kid growing in 90' I loved these, but at that time they were expensive so I got them only on special occassions and oh the taste
Just a small addition to the Kuemmerling. It is a common party drink and the goal for an evening is to complete a whole "circle of bottles", as they are slightly angled. I guess one circle were something like 60 bottles or so.
Fact no.1, the peanut shaped crisp things are also quite popular in Slovakia Fact no.2 shops in Falkirk sell those Milka cake bars practically everywhere Fact no.3 I love U guys:)
not sure if someone already pointed it out but the chicken nugget crisps come from a contest that the company holds, where people can design and submit a flavor and if it gets the votes it hits the shelves for some time. Currywurst was one such winner and sold well enough to become regular.
Peanut flips are like a German treasure. Why has no one else thought of it? It's sweet, it's salty, it's greasy, it's fluffy... Honestly, it was a gift given to us by God. When I eat compare them to any other crisp, it's just in superior realm. Thank God I was born in Germany to have grown up with them. That's the end of my ode to peanut flips, thank you. Try them if you can
Well, we don't actually have any candy, but we do sell icelandic candy and one is called bingo kúlur which I recommend, californium rosinur are good too
And a fun fact, the super dickmanns, in Poland, are actually called "warm ice cream". Why? I don't know, it was kinda an 80's snack more, but nowadays you can still buy it in the supermarkets.
We have a few of the same products here in the netherlands. For example Dickmanns. But also the same product with a different name. You guys should try the dutch stroopwafels. And pepernoten/kruidnoten.
Not sure, but I don’t think that a Kräuter is drunk when you are sick, but after a meal to help with digestion, especially when you are dining at your grandparents house. Could be my family only, though. Somehow the shot glasses always came out when you felt like you would not be able to move for the next two days due to the sheer amount of food served.
Am I the only one out there who loves black licorice?😊 I grew up on home baked Italian cookies that were seasoned with anise extract and anise seeds. YUM😊
Just realized... Ollie was wearing printed(or embroided) Korea flag on his shirt and Josh was wearing a printed (or embroided) Korea flag on his cap. How Cuteee😄
We have these apple chips in Poland too... I remember well they were trying to sell them in schools instead of normal potatoe chips (to let children eat healthier) but as you can probably guess... children didn't like that idea :D I don't really like them either~ I don't know anyone who wouldn't like these peanuts crisps. They are simply amazing! But now I know... Ollie ;> (And Milka is just LIFE! ㅋㅋㅋ) But the "Dickmanns" (or whatever), I think it's sth that in Poland was called "warm ice creams" and I really... REALLY... hate that xd You guys should try some Polish snacks :) That would be cool~ Greetings from Poland! (Oh, right... special ones for Chris! :P I'm a big fan~)
This really isn't much better. When I was in high school (like ten years ago), if you called a guy "fat" they had a big dick. Still pretty common slang.
xD This is the first time ever I spit out a full mouth of tea because I had to laugh so hard because of a RU-vid video. Now there is tea everywhere (even on my computer). I am from Germany and the "Dickmanns"-Moment triggered me intensely to laugh really hard!!!! Thank you for that! I have always wanted someone from an english-speaking country to react to our "Dickmanns" xD By the way I have worked at the Gamescom for many years ;) Maybe you want to come back when it starts again?
This Video really makes me want to educate you guys on German food and culture because there was quite a lot you got wrong. I'm not trying to be offensive or anything like that and I'm not even proud to be German (more proud of my Australian side actually) but it just made me cringe to hear some of the stuff you said. I'm truly sorry if any of this came off as rude or insensitive but it's been bugging me for a while now and after almost 48 hours without sleep I tend to speak my mind. Love you guys though!❤️
Here in Philippines, some old man I know always tell me that priests are good in alocoholic drinks. Maybe that is why Rev. Chris told that he likes it. I hope JOLLY makes Rev. Chris a blog wine or alocohol tasting.
As a german I want to give you some tips how to eat these super Dickmans: First of all Dickmanns is in german like fat and man tigerther fatmans. We often eat those oure, but also together with bread what makes them even mire german. Take a bun, half it get this Superdickmans between and than take it to school or work when you want to eat. You even can combine it with marmelade. It gets then more hearty but still is a sweet. Greets from germany
"This isn't a party drink"? It was. Like ages ago.. Been waiting for the weirdness to set in. Chocolate. Chips and Schnapps... Compared to: Strange Korean Foods 1 - Beondegi (번데기) - Roasted Silkworm Larvae. 2 - Hongeo-Hoe (홍어회) - Raw Fermented Skate - The Stinkiest Of All Strange Korean Foods. 3 - Cheonggukjang Jjigae (청국장찌개) - “Dead Body Soup” 4 - Gaebul (개불) - Live Spoon Worms (Penis Fish) 5 - Dakbal (닭발) - Spicy Chicken Feet.
kümmerling is probably the worst thing you can get in terms of medicinal liquor in Germany, out of all i had, they are the worst. i recommend: Wurzelpeter Grünbitter Wiltener Gebirgskräuter Flämminger Jagd if you want the best experience however you'd need to a find a nice old german grandpa who makes his own out of herbs he finds in the woods and 96% polish spirytus.
