So here the thing in upsc you can ask anything for interview so this man is a legend who wrote about motu patlu in his hobby because he had known they ask question about this so he was already prepared in this case that person himself choose a question which was asked by interviewer also so that they would ask any another question which possibly he didn't know so rhat man he put a different hobby so that they target it and ask question about it ❤❤ what a genius. He was smart , he intentionally filled Motu Patlu , so that the interviewer focuses on that, and he already prepared himself to answer that question 😂 so that happened interviewer asked and he answered beautifully.

She is right that he's prepared...let me explain the reason Being a HR we used to ask candidate about their hobby and always used to cross question about their mentioned hobbies.. So definitely the question was new to him But must have prepared everything about his hobby and definitely the positive aspect of his hobby

Most UPSC candidates are well read. And they are good at gaming the interview too. The crux of the matter is to find a really unique hobby that can get the attention of the interviewers. The more niche the hobby, the more curious the interviewers. They can't go into the technicalities of things and would ask only superficial questions like how this hobby can translate into you doing social good, promote social harmony, make you a capable administrator, etc. The answers to these questions can be prepared in advanced.
