I understand that card games change over time and the way I view the game may not be the way it plays now. I'm mainly basing this off of my views of the game from back then. I dont want anybody to take this video as objective fact!! I may revisit Weiss and see whats up
So I just got into Weiss, at first just to collect but now I’m actually building 2 decks so that my friends and I can play. I love the complexity of the game! At first yes it seems there is a far to many functions, but then you start to learn that they are all for multiple game strategies and your plan of attack will vary so much from your opponents. I find that how you play this game makes much more of a difference compared to Pokémon/yugio, I can’t speak on magic the gathering. But yea so far I am really enjoying getting into Weiss
Im glad you enjoy it! I said in the video i think the game is super imteresting its just that back whem i played the game felt a bit too fast for what it was. In this video i dont recogmize the fact that games change over time and thats a fallacy on my part msnd but im super glad youre enjoying it my friend!
Appreciate your review. I find different perspectives useful as I try to shop for a game. I've been feeling the tcg nostalgia and haven't played any since highschool. Any that you recommend I should look into? I played pokemon and magic in the past, but that was like 20 years ago.
I suppose that really depends on what you like If youre a little less into serious stuff and like a fun casual scene i recommend yugioh, d-spirits, weiss schwarz and future card buddyfight. If you like the competition on top id say go for magic and yugioh (but expensive). If you wanna go for like Casual but experimental id say Keyforge, Lightseekers, Wyvern, and Dragon Ball.
But remember these are all just how I view the games. But theyre all def ones id recommend. If you like going a little more obscure and have some money id say its also worth it to try out Chaotic(its one od my faves)
