I absolutely loved this show as a child in the 70's. I get a little teary eyed just thinking about it and how we would all go to school reciting all of their corny lines. God bless them and RIP to the 4 or 5 cast members who have since passed away.
at 3:00, I remember that episode clear as day when I watched it, we sang it at school for weeks; Freddie Boom Boom walked in singing I don't care what de white mon say, santa claus is a black mon
This was a great show! This was Travolta's big break, which lead to"Saturday Night Fever", "Blowout", " Pulp Fiction ", Get Shorty", " She's So Lovely ", " Face Off , "The People vs OJ Simpson", " Gotti", and many other great films, it all started with this show! Great reunion clip!
I don't see the point of doing a "cast" interview when you ONLY focus on one star. They might as well have interviewed John Travolta and asked him about his days on Welcome Back, Kotter.
Lawrence Hilton Jacobs is his name but he did not play Ike Turner. That was Laurence Fishburne. Lawrence Hilton Jacobs played Joseph Jackson in the movie The Jacksons An American Dream. But I can see how you may think that.
I saw that mini series on ABC & on VH-1 Classic many times. He did a good job playing Joseph Jackson. I actually wanted to punch him in the nose. Yes, he was that worthy😏.
The show really holds up well today, it's still funny in all the right places. Can't really say that for the jokes Mr. Kotter would tell at the end of every show, however, and the show really jumped the shark after John left.
My favorites were Freddy boom boom Washington and Epstein. To this day, November ,30, 2019 still watching it. Great Memories. R.I.P Epstein and Horshack. Thanks TVland for these Shows.
Ha! I was in HS in NYC during the height of this show, and I can easily say that the word “Sweathogs” never existed in our vocabularies! I miss those times for sure...great show 👍🏼👌🏼✌🏼😎
These tv show reunion segments they play on the morining news shows are not long enough. They spend 2 min. talking about the show and playing short cuts form the show, then cram 5 min to interview all of them. Secondly I agree with gecass2 they always make sure to interview the actor (John) that wasnt heard about untill he becomes a "hollywood star" more and then talk briefly to the other actors.
I remember watching the show in my childhood, worth it. I remember seeing the obituary for Ron who played Horseschack😭. I remember Horseschack going to see some lost relative, an Uncle I think, who was behind a twin door office with 2 door knockers. Admiring them, Arnold knocks them both, a LOUD ding rings forth scaring him, The Uncle comes out to see WTF, The Secretary responded, " Someone was playing with your knockers". Hilarious😄.
I've always felt that if a movie was made in the '70s about Joe Namath's football career, John Travolta would have been perfect. If made today, they should cast Aaron Rodgers.
Get real. people who are putting down JT..he had the Star quality to go and become one of Hollywoods best..Not everyone from sitcoms goes on to become one of Hollywoods famous
Horshack didn't show up because he was under the weather. I could be wrong but this is the one thing that you cannot miss. I don't care how sick he was, just tough it out. This series was your come out role & your fans want & need to see you. Mr. Woodman had probably left to heaven a long time ago but to have you all on in the same screen? Damn, we needed to see that...
O O O Mr. Kotter, What Where When, I got a note Mr. Kotter, I just don't have it here handy. There animals Mr. Kotter there not People. Did I tell you about my Uncle...
I was in 8th grade when this show debuted in ‘75. I can’t tell you how many times I heard “Up your nose with a rubber hose.” Of course we followed that up with “Up your ear with a can of beer.” Then there was the one that would get you in trouble: “Up your a%$ with a piece of glass.” 🤦🏻♀️
@@kenglass7833 Jesus Christ 😂 I am profoundly sorry for teaching you that. That said though, you chose to use it in the wrong time and the wrong place. So it’s not entirely my fault. 🤦🏻♀️😜Ok, now I gotta ask….how old are you anyways?
Well they have him in front for a reason. They are all still friends so he must not be that much of a douchebag they still love him and people have said he is avery generous.
