He had the drivers door probably about half way open...doing that with the windows up allows for one huge wind tunnel...you tend to feel a lot more bass...

no it's louder on the passenger side with the passenger side window up and driver door open, that's pretty common. Door acts like another port and the window up forces all the pressure that direction.
