Best video Quest has ever made! Great looking machine. Packed with features and if those prices are close to accurate and the performance is as expected, Quest will have a huge success on its hands👍
Hope to see it here in Denmark, as Im looking for a better one than my q30. (only minus is the pinpointed on my q30) besides that, has it found all kind od great finds. Greetings from Denmark
Any info on number of simultaneous frequencies in HyperQ mode? Great news for the tcommunity! Let's all hope it's a Legend competitor at a better price range and not a Manticore one, Minelab did us wrong with that premium price tag and rode the hype train...
Hey guyis . It is now available in Belgium. Buttttt i don't find a video with a test of the V80. I don't know what to do. I need a new detector but .....I would like to see it tested
Hi! At release, we will offer 2 coils: Blizzard11 (11 x 10") and Blizzard9 (9 x 5"). There may be additional coils in the future. The old range of search coils (Blade, Raptor, Beast) is not compatible with the V80 and V60.
Hi, will the V 80 handle very mineralised ground in the Australian goldfields and how we do on small gold and when will the release date be do you know? Thank you Bruce
Hi Bruce, the V80 was tested in Australia, it can handle the mineralization very well compared to most VLF detectors. But if you only want to get the maximum efficiency for finding small gold nuggets without interferences, a pulse-induction detector might be better suited for this task.
Hey friend, from the research I did, Quest is an American company based in California, but most of it’s popularity is in Europe. I’m not sure why they don’t push for a stronger American market unless it’s manufactured in Europe but American designed and owned.
To much going on with the menu should have kept it simple not a beginner detector. Also big face small screen. That screen is like looking at a postage stamp
I have received mine and try it today in park. May be a good detector but also very complicated to use. It rings constantly. I usued the Park programm but the discrimanation is poor, all the pulltabs are detected?? After one hour to dig for trash I deceided to stop.😏😏
Hello! We also love the magnetic chargers, but using just one USB-type-c for charging and headphones ist just more efficient. Also, for the users it is better as it's easier to replace if you lose it or it breaks. :-)
@@QuestEurope yes, as long as the port doesn't wear and become loose, as most do.. I have a deteknics pinpointer, it's brilliant, and have had for at least 3 or 4 years, but now getting slack in the port... Just stating a fact. But really looking forward to getting hold soon.
Looks decent other than a screen that's too small and muttled up with tiny information people who need glasses can't read lol. Seem everyone but minelab is making that same mistake. The broken or damaged upper right face isn't inspiring either.
Hello! Made in XXX means that the most of the manufacturing is happening in the specific country. While this can be an indicator for the quality of the product, as it has been more in the past, you can't draw clear conclusions from that. It is possible to build high quality or low quality products everywhere, it always depends on the specific factory. Also, there are many ways for companies to write made in Germany, USA or whatever on the products but still get many parts and labor from countries where they have to pay way less and, probably, get lower quality. 🙂 We at Quest produce high quality metal detectors which, are technically mature and have proven to be on par with the competition in terms of quality.
Hello! The Q60 and V60/V80 are from different metal detector series. The V80 is our latest machine, the biggest and most important difference to the Q60 is the HyperQ multi-frequency. Meaning it searches with multiple frequencies from 5 up to 80 kHz AT THE SAME TIME, leading to way better search performance for all kinds of targets. The Q60 has 3 changeable search frequencies. Furthermore, it has a carbon fiber shaft, a built-in Gyro-Sensor for ground balancing without pushing a button, automatic standby mode for battery saving and more stable target IDs. The display is sunlight-reflective, meaning it actually gets more bright the more light falls directly onto the screen (For most other screen it works exactly the other way round). There are also some other, smaller differences in the settings, but I hope this overview I gave helps you already 🙂
Hi I thing great product... I am intrasting for this... If I am looking just for gold... Can you please explain how to adjust this for gold under ground Wish you all the best...
I own a Q30 I only hunt beaches used only three times second time out 4 gram white gold hallmarked 9 carat wedding band which actually fits my little finger so I guess it is a "keeper" my Q30 is my first all weather metal detector I purchased so I could hunt in rain not to dive purchased from Joan Allen I was just on their site gleaming information.. I love my Quest thank you.
I thought Quest kind of disappeared? They have nice products like the headphones for deus that the puck snaps in I believe? Interesting that another company coming out with multi-frequency, awesome
Never mind I Heard you say multi iq .. diea it run all the frequencies at the same time? Or do different modes run different frequency? For example park mode. 5 10 20 . Gold mode 40 60 .
Hello! At the moment it is not sure when the V80 will come, we are making some last-minute improvements to bring it on the market as good as possible. During development, the HyperQ technology had another name which was changed later. To prevent confusion we put a patch over it for this video 🙂
@@QuestEurope Thanks for the reply. I got a minute or two with the new V80 at the German treasure hunting championship in Reinsfeld. Feels very nice in hands but I could only switch through the Menü and talk to the dealer.
I see in this video the screen will be damaged easily. That worries me. There must be a display protector. Looks like a great new detector. Curious about its capabilities in salt water. Also if there will be a bottle cap discrimination mode for places like beaches.
Hello! The device in the video was just a sample to test the detector. We also took a look inside the device and in order to do this we had to remove the sticker around the display. For this we had to break the sticker and that is the damaged spot you see in the video. The screen is 100 % intact. :-)
I wish this video would have been released before I bought my NM Legend. I considered the Q30 two years ago but not much information is available about them here in the USA even though they are a USA based company.
Hi, I do have a a pulse induction machine and also an equinox. Looking to upgrade to a new machine thinking that the V 80 might be the one. I do have your pinpointer which I think is great. Just wondering whether your new machine will be better than the new Equinox. Thanks for your honest opinion, Bruce
I live in a small gold town in Victoria and I hunt every day for coins and gold, that’s why I’m interested in to see if the new V80 will find small gold in the creeks near me. Look forward to your reply, Bruce
@@noshownugget983 Hi Bruce! We did not compare it to the Equinox in these conditions yet, that's why I can't make definite statements on the performance under these special conditions. In our opinion the performance will be on a similar level
