May 2024 be a year of Blessings for you and your family, Matthew! Perhaps a video on glazing wood fire pieces with "special" (or unique) results. Hope to see you in PA sometime 👍!
Hi, I enjoyed your video for 2024. I’m looking forward to seeing your new project and live streams. I have truly enjoyed my mugs and bowls from you. I would love to see something like nesting bowls, a bird bath or fountain and a lamp body. Also I would love to help out with a wood fire if you have an opening or a workshop. Thanks for all you share. You have a beautiful soul.
Spot on! I love watching the videos of you trying out making something new. Also, wood firings are SO COOL and something most of us don’t hear about or see so anything about those and how you set up, clean up, fire, why the kiln is built the way it is, how you know how much wood to add when, anything that might even seem obvious to you, would probably be interesting to us, like the “cleaning pots after wood firing” video was great.
Great to see you back! I would love to see some of your glazing techniques. I know you’ve done some videos in the past but I’m always so impressed by the beauty of your work, I’d love to see some more.
I've checked the Matthew Kelly website, hoping to purchase a vase or two but there's nothing on it but a gift card.:( I have no idea when his sales are held, I imagine after a firing...🤷🏻♀️
I totally agree with your philosophy for doing better every day! As a Christian, I believe that whatever I do, I do it for the Lord and not for the praise of people. God bless you and your family!❤
I whole heartedly agree! Glad you are back. I just enjoy your videos, I am a potter too and find it interesting to watch others create. Blessings to you and your family!
Jesus simply doesn't agree with his thoughts, and even dislikes them. Oh well....1. His parents created him. His mother and father...that is why the guy will act, speak like his parents. No need to get into 2, 3, 4, etc.
So glad you’re back. So excited about your bricks. It took us 10 years to get a good deal on our high fire bricks to build our propane kiln. Have you done a video of one piece small jars that you go back in and cut the top off, leaving a gallery? We just finished our 2nd glaze fire for 2024
I am really enjoying your videos and skill level. I do have a question about a piece I have been asked to make and I am wondering if you have ever made one or can help me with measurements and even wall thickness. My brother has me for a wine chiller. I plan to use a red clay and fire it to 04. I will also make a saucer. My question is how tall should it be and how thick should the wall be? Would you demo one for us? I see where it would require at least 4 lbs of clay and should be 10" tall. Don't know if this is something you can do but I will be watching for it if you do. Glad to have you back online, Matthew! Admittedly, some of us -ahem- me- were really starting to worry that your declined presence might be due to something negative going on in your life. It seems this means it has been quite the opposite. We’re excited to hear more about this positive news! - Maria Frey
Hi Matthew, good to see you again! Have you learned any new techniques for making? I likes your update on how you make plates and was wondering if you had any new ways of throwing what you make. I liked your hanging planter video and I don’t necessarily think you need to redo that.
I would like to see a video on how to throw out your index right index finger. My boss was an idiot and I lost my right index finger at work, (like cut off lost) so have not been wanting to start again simply because that’s all I knew how to throw with: (for non believers I can send you a photo
Hi Mathew, so exciting to woodfire in five weeks! Ik hope you share some of the proces of the prep and firing 🤩 For another video I would love to have your insights on how to open up big ball of clay. Especially when the centered pieces are narrow and high. For me it is a bit of a struggle to keep my fingers in the middle, even if I open up in smaller sections. Thank you! Greeting from the Netherlands!
Hello from Northern California. I’m a newbie to your channel and would like to see more livestreams of your processes. You throw so gracefully. A pleasure to watch
Hi Mathew, I would like to know more about how you make your videos. Equipment, software, split screen? I'm like you. I'd rather do live streams because of the time it takes to edit. Love your work!
Love the live streams. Easier on you. And edits are extra work. Talking pots and chats on studio practice and making good ceramics is perfect.

I watch you from Argentina for several years now since you used to show the pieces you made in the factory in a standing wheel. With you, I learned, I am a potter myself, to act quickly in the wheel and the stretching and resistance capacity of clay when spinnig. You could make a series of videos showing and making typical shapes and pieces of the US pottery regions. From the time of the settlers until 1900. Except the tall bottles I think your pieces are quite american traditional.
It would be nice to see a video of you finishing the raised lids on the casserole dishes and setting them up with wadding to be fired so they don't warp.
