No ones gonna grade for Atlantium money. It has to be approved by an actual state government such as Australia. If Australia approves it to be a real form of currency, then it’s a trade.

I use to do this when I was a kid. When I was younger me and a 2 friends founded our own countries but decided to join together under one flag and name. We then began to call our selves the Ukainian Empire (no we are not Ukrainian nor do we intend to be the name Ukainian has a long reason why it came to be.). We started the Ukainian Empire (UE) in 2007 however we disbanded in May 2013. Good times.

Apparently Size AND location are irrelevant to being or not being a mirconation. Sealand is smaller than Molossia and is in International Waters, URA is on Antarctica which has no "recognized nations" and is 2370000km². Being or not being recognized by other "nations" which are themselves also already recognized by other nations worldwide is the difference. There's no clear threshold of how many "established" nations must recognize you as a sovereign nation, but it's definitely more than 0.

it depends on the country. Some countries don't allow you to give up your nationality, to renounce it. Mine does, Turkey for instance does not. Turks stay Turks, according to them (which is right, I suppose). If they renounce it, they become person non grata and are never allowed back in. It's a pride thingy. They also have to serve in the military, no matter in which country they live. They will be called to draft. Either that, or pay a big sum to buy off their national duty (5000 euro or more, I believe). You could become Atlantian (?), but you would lose all rights you have as a US citizen (wouldn't do it - even though the US has a crappy system, government). You might not have to pay tax, but you will likely get very little in return. No infrastructure, no waterworks, no collection of garbage, no healthcare, or hospitals, etc. I think it's a nation of people that have money (like Vatican city and Monaco). There is a reason that there aren't many small countries. If they exist, they are filthy rich, or distant Islands. So they might have all the things I assume they do not have. I still wouldn't want to go. It's an advertisement and it only works because it is such an odd 'country', like the emperor said. A very elaborate way to get a message across, if you ask me. I live in the Netherlands, it basically has the same message... It's more like a tool to force Australians to think about their own laws, I guess that is his whole point. Since it has been a year, I hope I'm still talking to an American. Trump solved some of your tax problems (supposedly). Let's see how well you'll all fair in a decade ;)
@Mayah Opoku i started my micro nation a year ago (age 11) and i have a flag, presidential uniform, a national anthem. But the thing is mine is a union. My friends have micro nations we allied to create Union Of Anthony's Communist Republics. We dont include the Of part though so we call it the UACR. Since we are a communist country we dont use money and our territory is basically our whole neighborhood

I have always wanted to found a country called Ericsia. I have spent 2 years developing my own language, and my own flag, currency, called the Eros (Ë'os), postal system, and for a bit, passports. I have been so inspired and fascinated by micronations, I want my own one. And when I grow up (because i'm only ten), You may see Ericsia on the map, or at least a video about me XDXD

The problem of starting a small nation is that it's so easy to govern a small number of people. If they legally (or illegally) expanded their micronation and if they are able to govern more than a 10,000 population living inside that nation then that will be a truer test for "Atlantium" and only then will I be in awe of what the emperor is saying in front of the interviewer.
I actually have a few questions myself. Is your guys currency worth anything in the outside world? For instance is it possible to exchange your currency for say American USD? Also do you have Embassies? How is everything ran smoothly? I'd also assume you need to establish your own Secret Service detail. You'll need resturaunts/schools/cities/etc.
While i disagree with the guys ideals about open borders i do repsect him. He seems very nice, chill and gueinely inspired byhis ideals and loyal to them which i respect.
With all that land he should let citizens live in the land. It's bigger than the Vatican, and the Vatican has over 700 people. He could have a defense force, too.
