This should be the bar for modern game trailers. Emphasis on core gameplay with cutscenes sprinkled in, and a beautiful narrative to tie it together. Well done to the marketing team behind this one. I hope you guys get a raise. Let's gooo!
How do you feel after seeing all the micro transactions? FPS issue isn't that big of a deal to me as long as it's fun and the story is good. But microtransactions ..
@@dennisgoins2371 They were items you can get in the game, but I get what you mean. No issues with it how it is. Not so cool if capcom goes that way in the future tho
@@DragonHeart613 One has died ages ago and one died last year... I wonder what options do we have remaining... but I'm pretty sure he's talking about Michael Gambon.
So this is such a small detail but one that I think needs to be pointed out. When the party is fighting the dragon and it's shooting it's fire breath, notice that behind it's... Jowls? There is air being shot out in the opposite direction as compensation almost like an RPG because that's what Capcom does, they make the monsters make sense and I love that!
There's a couple of really nice little details: when the cyclops near the end falls on his back it creates a gust of wind that blows the grass back, and when Grigori 2 looks like he's going to start breathing fire, you can see his throat start glowing and the embers around his mouth get sucked in as he inhales. Little things like that are insane and it really adds a lot, it's so sick.
My first encounter with him as an actor was as the badass he played in the HBO show "Tombstone". One of my fav performances of any actor. That said... kinda hard to see him the way you describe, haha. (actually, my REAL first time seeing him in film was as a kid being forced to watch "Jesus of Nazareth", that 6-hour miniseries from the 70s, where he played Judas -- I obviously didn't know who he was at the time and I had no idea he was even in the show until 30years later, lol)
Absolutely thrilled to see Ian McShane presenting Dragon's Dogma 2! His voice adds such a compelling depth to the experience, perfectly setting the stage for an adventure that I'm sure will be as epic as it is unforgettable. Can't wait to dive into the world of Dragon's Dogma once again, now with the added allure of McShane's involvement. Thank you for making this journey even more exciting!
been playing DD1 the last few days ahead of this and even now all these years later as im playing i still get many WOW moments when that combat just flows perfect. i think the combat in this series may well be my favourite in and Arpg , this game is going to be great
@coreymckee4844 Oh, when other guy commented about that I googled and showed 21st for release date and 22nd as original date, shit has me confused now.
Ian McShane presenting Dragon's Dogma 2 is a dream come true! His involvement adds an incredible layer of depth and excitement to the game. Can't wait to see what adventures await. Thanks for making this experience even more special!
I've finally gotten to play it, and got some days off to enjoy more. Thank you for this, game starting off on the right foot with a phenomenal character creation, fluid combat, and the ever present old speak. Truly a masterwork unfolding
@@RyuDaBurninator absolutely doesn't matter. paying for convenience in a single player RPG is an incredibly disgusting practice. idk why anyone would comment in defense for something they themselves won't use and acknowledge aren't needed but go off i guess. =/
I can't believe that we are actually living in an age where hugely respected veteran British actors like Ian McShane & Brian Cox are doing video game trailers for the likes of Dragon's Dogma 2 & Tekken 8 respectively. Dam!
Please patch the menu music back to: Eternal Return Singer : Aubrey Ashburn It made the 1st one better, it'd make the 2nd one better too...please Capcom...
Agreed, they are basically wasting out time with stuff like this. I'm pretty sure we have seen all the trailers for dd2. I guess now we get to see this brilliant actor wast his time voicing over it🤦♂️🤣🤣🤣
@@mustofaakmal7493 Capcom have a pretty good track record when it comes to releasing demos for their games. I think people have a right to be a bit irked by not releasing a demo for this one, especially with all those framerate drops shown in some of the trailers... it'll make people think that they are hiding the state of their game. I do have faith that this game will be a banger tho
Yo Capcom! Please add the ability to choose which attacks pawn use during combat! I have so many combo ideas I want to try out in tandem w my pawns, but I don't know when they will use them. (For example, I've always wanted my warrior pawn to use the rising sunder skill or whatever it's called, so I can jump and use the archer kick jump and parting shot in mid airoff of the lsunched enemy. The combo potential would rival that of dmc, which is anther masterpiece)
@@MaelysLeFleau undoubtedly, but still, it would be epic, and he might has one or another personal interest in being involved in making a video game. who knows? :)
@@MetalFaroI wish I could share the same optimism for a literally 81 year old actor I like wanting to be involved in a video game I'll play that you have.
can someone correct me here. Will there be more (in terms of variety) enemies/monsters in the game outside of the ones mentioned in this video? Don't get me wrong the ones they listed are S tier, just worried it would get repetitive based on the little ive seen.
there's no way of knowing. They're taking a lot of stuff from DD online so there could be plenty of enemy variety if they repurpose those assets. The sphinx was actually in DDO and it's one of their main features so who knows. Also certain events happen in the first game that introduce a bunch of enemy variants, so this time around it could introduce completely new enemies, and also there's a bunch of iconic monsters from the first game missing, like the hydra and the evil eye.
I'd imagine the generational scission for the lines everyone immediately thinks lies around 1985 or a little later. For most everyone born after it's something from the John Wick films, and for most of us born earlier it's a certain word beginning with the letter 'C' that Al Swearengen was clearly very fond of.
Okay.. forgive me, cuz I’m not Trying to nitpick or anything, but here’s my nitpick: Some of those frames look a bit Jarring, and of course I already pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition and I will be playing this on my PS5 regardless, and if it doesn’t run as smoothly as I’d hoped for, then I hope we can also forgive them, as in the developers. But may they continue to optimize the holy hell out of this gorgeous looking game behind the scenes for the next year or so.. Because I fully expect this game to still achieve great success. I’d love for it to be game of the year and then we can get the GOTY EDITION/Definitive Edition down the road and who knows.. maybe they will release a remastered version when PS6 drops, I mean that would suck to wait for that to play it fully optimized but then again most of us have all waited 12 years for this not even knowing if it would ever really come to pass. But to end on a positive note this sequel looks to have improved on all fronts compared to the first game so I’m still optimistic and open to being surprised for what’s in store while playing it.
@@leonardbrazil5497 You can't "critique" something that isn't out yet, just speculate about it blindly. That's why pre-orderdering anything is always completely dumb. All the "reviews" that release before release are just from sell-outs who get provided review copies to advertise for the games, so they can't be trusted.
