Entering City of Vancouver, British Columbia on Route 99 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British... over the Lions Gate Bridge en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lions_G...
Vancouver, as the entire British Columbia, is in the Pacific Time Zone same like Yukon, Washington State, Oregon and California!
In this particular video, driving in the Downtown area and at the end driving thru the Stanley Park en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stanley... where you are able to get the best view over Vancouver's beautiful downtown skyline!
Regular gas price in Vancouver: C$2.14 per liter, the most expensive in entire Canada and probably North America as well!!!
Socialy, very much different than Toronto, Canada's biggest city!
Vancouver population (2023, est.): less than 700K!
Toronto population (2023, est.): 3M!
For those who strongly believe in climate change, other enviromental causes, free public transportation paid via extremely-high gas prices at the pump, arborists and rest of tree huggers, bicycle lovers, pro-LGBTQ+ causes, etc., so overall people with far-left social & political views, this is the best place in Canada to live in!
No different than San Francisco, Los Angeles or NYC!
That's why personally I would never enjoy living in Vancouver, BC!

I've never been to Vancouver before, I always cross the border over to the east farther,I call it the Bellingham crossing. I liked what I never saw, trash, I thought the whole drive through the city was very clean.. NICE!! Taikuu Chris, on to the next..

Howdy Ben, a separate video will be about Vancouver's most famous bad area, East Hastings Street, full of drug addicts, homeless, tents, very bad smell around AND as I was told by Vancouver PD cops heavily patroling that particular area: totally AVOID walking on that street as they become very violent including hitting you, beating you, stabbing you, etc. simply for recording a video where their very unsafe lifestyle is in full display! British Columbia is the very first Canadian province and hopefully the only one that has decriminalized hard drugs therefore anybody can do cocaine, meth, hash, etc. openly anywhere they wish and cops cannot lay any charges or confiscate their drugs! Horrible what I've seen there!!! Therefore you're not missing a thing by not visiting Vancouver, BC! Only Route 99 thru Rocky Mountains is a must, an epic drive with gorgeous scenic views is worth taking during summer days and hopefully no rain at all! Anchorage as Alaska's biggest city is way more attractive than Vancouver BC! Be safe and enjoy Labor Day long weekend! God Bless!

Howdy Shane, My very first vacation since 2019 Texas vacation ru-vid.com/group/PLInTFVcLGchk42D9TQPl_I4n-zGdgz0B8 You do know what happened in 2020, border with America was fully closed, moreover for us fully unvaxxed Canadians (and rest of the unvaxxed foreign travelers too) the border finally reopened this very May 2023 that's why I was able to cross into Alaska! Before Alaska I had driven to 48 states, with Alaska I have accomplished a pretty rare achievements: since 1998 driven my personal vehicles to all 49 American States anybody can drive to! Without being able to cross into Alaska, I would have not done this particular road trip at all! Lastly, for the first time in 33 years in Toronto I have driven west of Ontario, until this very long road trip never been to Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, NWT, Yukon and BC! So far 16K km since July 11 but up to 4K more to get back home to Toronto! Have a great Labor Day long weekend, no idea if it's a statutory holiday in Australia! God Bless.

Welcome to Vancouver! Funny to see someone from Toronto assume that Vancouver is too far left. I personally couldn’t live in Ontario because its political correctness is out of control. Remember lockdowns? Alberta might be our only hope. I can’t argue about the gas prices in Van though, haha, but as someone who appreciates both driving and biking, Vancouver is worth its price. Cheers.

British Columbia: the only province with an NDP Govt, British Columbia: the only province and hopefully the only one into the near future where hard drugs have been legalized, if you wish watch my last video and its description and feel free to comment on it, British Columbia: the only province along Quebec subsidising rich people buying very expensive EVs especially Teslas, Vancouver: highest gas prices in entire North America, Whitehorse YT $1.94 regular gas, Vancouver: the most congested Canadian city with no real highway within the city compared to Toronto's 16-lane per direction 401, 400, 404/DVP, Gardiner Expressway into QEW, 403, 410, etc. What I love about British Columbia: Mile '0' Alaska Highway, Beaver Creek, border with Alberta, where reg gas was $1.65 AND the gorgeous scenic-view Route 99 thru Rockey Mountains, NOT Whistler! THAT'S IT! Totally different demographics than Toronto's demographics as well as a fundemantally different city lifestyle too! You're always welcome to challenge WITH FACTS any of my above statements! Stay well and especially be safe! God Bless. Edit: also obssesed with cycling (similar only in Toronto's pretty-small downtown core area) and indigineous names aka en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Capilano and en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Squamish_people ,thank God no indigineous ppl in Toronto!

@@ChrisRoadWarrior Good food for thought! Indeed BC is the only one with an NDP government. On the federal election I guess it's a similar trend in Ontario, the big cities go Liberal, but yeah BC historically is more left-leaning. I'm mad about the drug liberalization pilot, although the drug issue existed well before this pilot started, and it's present (and growing) in many Canadian cities. At least in Toronto you probably don't need to hear the words "unceded territory" all the time LOL. All the best!

@@ssrenan On the federal level, LPC won all 25 Toronto's ridings and in the GTA, 51 out of 55 ridings, personallly I have no hope that Toronto will ever vote CPC but I hope that some of the Durham, York or Peel Region ridings will turn blue for the next federal election! In my case I have voted CPC all federal elections since 2006 (Harper's first minority govt)! Scarborough Center is my federal and provincial riding! In Toronto we now have a commie Mayor, Olivia Chow, Jack Layton's widow, she won with less than 25% of the registered voters, she would like to copy Vancouver's hard drugs policies, hopefully her wish will never become reality! For gas, please follow this particular link gaswizard.ca/gas-price-predictions/ and here is my local gas station where I always get gas from www.torontogasprices.com/Pioneer_Gas_Stations/Toronto_-_East/199510/index.aspx Pioneer and Ultramar offer lowest gas prices in Toronto, moreover with Journie Rewards card linked to a CIBC Visa Credit Card I'm getting 3c off per liter and when I hit 300 points I'm getting 10c off per liter! www.journie.ca/en-CA/destinations In Ontario, Pioneer and Ultramar are the equivalent to Chevron in BC or Fas Gas in MB, SK, AB, NWT and YT! No Chevron or Fas Gas in Ontario! Sunday or Monday I'll be leaving Vancouver and BC, back home via Trans-Canada Hwy to AB (5% sales tax shopping!), SK, MB... So far 16K km since July 11! Have a great long weekend! God Bless.
