Thanks for the video. My mother's family is from Shiozawa and a couple of cousins work in Echigo Yuzawa. It's a nice place to visit and is absolutely beautiful in winter (snow season).

Hi there! This is the best route to take: (1) hop onto the bullet train at Tokyo Station. Take one train to Ueno Station. At Ueno Station, take the Joetsu Bullet Train to Echigo Yuzawa. It should take you about 90 minutes to get there. December in Echigo Yuzawa will be BEAUTIFUL, especially with the steaming hot springs and gorgeous mountains! So true! LOL. I had to film that opening (next to the waterfall) about 10 times. And then, when I added it to the video and listened to it again, I raised the volume of the clip even higher...and it's STILL hard to hear! Thanks fo rthe comment!
Sure! But leave early in the morning (maybe 7 AM) from either Tokyo Station or Ueno station. It will take you about 2.5 hours - 3 hours to get there. So you would be in Echigo Yuzawa by 10:00 am. Then you'll have the whole day. You'll LOVE IT.
