I'm from Union and MLK. Jersey City is forever my home. This video is the definition of real Jersey City. It's all love and community. Bless up all my JC ppls!
lmaoooooo i was saying the same thing ... son showed us the parking lot & pointed out some dusty train tracks up top take us down to the water or the pier at least lol
@@bxny1511 that's downtown not the hood, he tryna show y'all where it goes down at, he showed y'all a lil part of the hood tho, there's a whole lot more hoods but sum u can't go in if u don't kno Nobody there, but he got to the point, he mighta not had that much time wit the camera man!!!
I'm from Newark and it's good to see my home state! One thing I love that these youngins do that we didn't do a lot of is hug and tell each other they love them
I fuck with the homies energy and the way he presents himself. He aint putting up a front and acting out of character for the camera or non like most do. No wondery hes loved n respected by everyone in his hood.
@@KillaQuan201 thats right. yeah i can tell when someone is genuine, cause nowadays everybody be acting like clowns and pretend to be something they not I hope he blows up man cuase hes the type to spend his money smart and put that money into his neighbhorhood and invest thru real estate so his community and its people dont get pushed out by gentrification, and he can also employ the people of his commmunity.
@Matrixnukum lol. im from southern cali born n raised. shit is backwards these days. now its the gangbangers from these hoods that are smoked out junkie fIends instead of slanging dope, snitching on their damn selves on social media. If you're gang banging or a full time criminal in 2021 that shits washed up n you most likely a lame.
Only those from Jersey understand Jersey and why there's no place like it, good and bad. I love NJ and always will. In the words of the great Queen Latifah "I can't forget New Jersey"
It’s beautiful to see the warm embrace when the bro’s see eachother because it shows it’s ok for strong , confident men to show love but at the same time it breaks my heart cuz it’s also because they don’t know the next time they’ll see eachother again or if they even will, if you know you know..🥺#JerseyGirlForLife 💪🏼❤️❤️❤️
Can’t judge people you don’t know or pass judgment on people cause of were they live or the lifestyle they live. If you stay cool and show respect nobody gonna mess with you, want respect have show respect for people.
I like how the dude was drinking an Arizona Ice Tea and was like fuck it, i'm gonna throw this shit on the ground cause he got love for his community...
Salute to Chilltown Jersey City! I'm from Newark and used to chill in the old, grimey Jersey City when all of the projects were still up. You had Duncan, Curry Woods, Montgomery and Booker T. Marion is still up as far as I know. But yeah old memories chillin on Ocean Ave, Jackson Ave, getting some chicken from Crown's on Communipaw, going to Ringside, etc.!
@@harrison7117 You're right about that. I also forgot Arlington Gardens across from the park. I had a chick on Arlington and remember cats chillin in that park.
Now that im rewatching this, ut's good to seem them all greet one another and show mad love. Makes you feel that unity in the community! Hope they all get to live long prosperous lives.
Love my city Jersey the guy with dreds and army fatigue hoodie I’m glad he represented jersey don’t get lot recognition so I applaud him and the rest of ppl in video 💯!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm from Baltimore I was locked up in Paterson when i went to the halfway house I could come out too work when I got. Short I could go out the guys in the halfway house used to take me out show me around after a while they would come out and come to their hood and i would already be out there they showed me love like I grew up their I love jersey bless🙏 them I am forever a jersey guy too love yall cats.
My family moved out of 93 Grant Avenue back in 1965. (03:01 - The 3-story apartment building with the fire-escapes in the background.) There were thriving businesses up and down Jackson Avenue back then. Banks, toy stores, supermarkets, clothing stores, shoe stores, furniture stores, butcher shops, post office.... Had we not moved out, my brothers and me would be dead or in prison. 57 years later…………nothing has gotten better. Entire buildings are missing, and there are far fewer businesses than I recall. It looks no better than it did in 1965. Nothing to be proud of.
Mr. Chicken is a great guy. Love, his personality and music. I just met him last month, he performed at my niece birthday party. It was Lit 🔥. Thank you Mr. Chicken!!!
I'm originally from New York but I hang out in New Jersey all the time I've been to Trenton all parts of New Jersey and I like New Jersey I was actually going to move out there great people great love
Jersey ☝..people sleep on our state fr fr..I feel we're about to have more recognition and things about to go crazy in jersey especially with the new legalization..shit bout to be lit 🔥🙌
Born n raised in Jersey but lived in cali for a while n I keep telling ppl Jersey is the new cali except we ain’t broke out here and it snows like a MFer
I grew up in The Bricks, but it looks weird without the old projects that they tore down. You had my old hood Grafton Ave p's, Prince St p's, Scudder, Hayes, 7th Ave p's, Dayton St, Seth Boyden, Lil Bricks, Baxter Terrace and Brick Towers. I think the only projects left are Bradley Court, Hyatt and Pennington. But I'm not in The Bricks anymore so I'm not sure. You also got Georgia King Village which ain't really a project, but is dangerous like one.
im not from jersey city but to hear him say somany child hood memories and the way he looked at the project building window, it broke my heart, project kids have good lives to.. its not always so sad growing up in the pjs
Oh man lmao I never thought I'd see Jersey City on the Tube. I moved to Ohio last year, and last month I went back to visit my moms and fam, and lol it was so nostalgic to be back.

I'm born and raised in jersey city I'm Dida EVERYBODY knows me. I went to ferris, Lincoln and St.Anthony. These are young dudes. Duncan, Curry woods, Montgomery Booker T stand up Chill town. Salute to the young homie for giving the world a glimpse of jersey city, the 6th Burrough!
Im a cali kid but my family grew up in the Duncan Projects. I remember seeing it when I was younger. My grandmother is buried in the cemetery right there. My uncle THE FAA did a lot of work there for the inner city kids. Place was crazy asf going there as a kid. Great people there too.
respect all around great to see. JC has an edge on many other hoods for obvious reasons. hoping all these hoods unite and invest, buy, purchase property and businesses within their hoods. it aint yuh hood if you renting. yall gotta own and participate within local activity that dictates the laws/policies of your hood. let's go JC standup!
Yupp when I left jersey city n moved too Cali I felt right at home , same vibe except no corner stores aka bodegas……….lived in Sac , and then Richmond….. still miss my home tho😩jersey city born n raised💕
I'm from Brooklyn which is 20 minutes away but spent 3 years in Jersey city. Definitely a cool place to live, make no mistake about it the brothers hold their city down. Come in respecting the city and the Brothers who live their and you will be fine.
Yo that's crazy I was locked up with the guy with the dreads he home welcome home 🏡but Respect to hood vlogs he really be everywhere nobody else do that but keep making Jersey vlogs bro keep up the good work
Yessss one thing i miss so much about Jersey City is the love and people showed to each other but dont get on their bad side I grew up on Bergen ave and MLK blvd and was never disrespected nor my family better if someone tried to disrespect me or anyone on my block they got their a$$whooped. But over all i have nothing but great memories of Jersey city
Peace up, Bless up, Heads Forever up Kings. Stay Dangerous, and stay out the way. Much love from your Queens out here needing y'all to survive because WE NEED AND LOVE YOU. Seeing y'all Vibe together, and happy, makes my heart smile. Word up, straight up and down. One love Baby - R.O.C
@@hereisayana8207 yes, that means stay ready. If you stay ready you don't have to get ready. It means be prepared. Stay prepared. Stay Dangerous, stay ready for things that might come. Stay on your feet, 10 toes down ready for what the world might throw at you. An educated person to these things are Dangerous, because they have knowledge and not gonna just be caught slipping, by the best THEY CAN DO, ON ANYTHING IN LIFE that they can possibly Control. Now mind you somethings are ABSOLUTELY out of your control. However you have a BETTER fighting Chance if you stay Dangerous, EDUCATED, CONSCIOUS, AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS, PREPARED, ETC. Hope this helps. Thee ABSOLUTE FIRST RULE of survival is SELF PRESERVATION!!!! A Dangerous Person is an Educated person, the more you know, the more you can go. Knowledge IS DANGEROUS!!!! IN A WORLD WHERE THEY WANT TO MAKE US EXTINCT!!!
@@purnell4ever okay, but some men in this area are already dangerous enough killing their own kind... I think their danger is aimed at the wrong people who look like them
@@hereisayana8207 killing your own kind isn't dangerous, it's selfish, reckless, and just ignorant. However I fully explained what I meant, and I never said it to be any of the 3 terms I just stated. They are also reading these. If you are really concerned or care, drop them a positive message like I did. They need it!!!! They need to know that yes she are out there f*cking up, but WE NOT gonna turn our Backs on them like the world has. We don't support the foolishness, but we will Support them trying to better themselves. We will pray for the misguided, and continue to SPEAK SUCCESS AND ABUNDANCE over ALL OF THEM!!! They always will be my Brothas, I may not agree with what they all do. You take care and be safe.
My city is a war zone but best believe we got mad love in our city 🎯 proud of u Chicken for real keep pushing. I'm proud of all the rappers & singers from my city. 💯
I grew up in Jersey City in the projects. I was able to leave when I went off to college in the middle of the crack epidemic. It's nice to see brothers showing love and respect. When I was a teen, in the middle of the crack craziness, the city was horrifying at times. We didn't show this type of love. It was too dangerous and you couldn't trust anyone. But some of the stuff about JC sticks with you and you end up loving it. If you're from JC parts of that city never leaves you. There's no other place like it. I'm proud and blessed I was able to get out of the hood, but my attachment is permanent. #JerseyCityBorn #JerseyProud
I been saying the same thing about Philly..they trying to make it into baby new York. Go downtown and on market st and you'll see. And they added all high end west coast branded clothing store down here..sh!t is nutty fr
Jersey funny dudes. In between NY & Philly. Good dudes tho, just all over the place. Salute to our Camden, Brick City, & Patterson Soulja's. Philly got luv for Jersey. Huh, they right over the bridge😂🤣😂🤣
@@tunedtfin917 oh okay I was thinking more of the Camden area being somewhat Central Jersey .. idk I'm from up top lol so nyc for me is like crossing to the next couple towns over

Real, real.... Reminds me of Above the Rim !!!!!! No cap .... I'm playing..... Two different cities, but on the real it's real out there! I love the heart warming stories of how they all get together to group study and get their ACT scores up for college or how the organized a mentoring program to open black owned businesses….and downright was touched by the father son basketball game down at the park the sons won 3526 - 0 as it was 2200 playing 0 …..
