Oh man, this is suuuch a throwback. Kharkiv is my hometown, but my mom moved with me to Europe so I only visited it after the move about once a year. But I truly love the city. It gives me such a warm, cozy feeling. Thank you for vlogging it. It feels like going through MY places with a friend. Also, sloykas from the underground are THE ABSOLUTE BEST. My grandma used to treat me to those a lot and those were my highlights. RIP grandma.

All good, but tourists can pick and choose which train they prefer to travel on, and even though train travel is cheap for westeners, they can still decide whether to go by 'retro' train, or go modern. Retro brings in some nostalgia for those who want to feel Soviet times.

I've just start to watch your Kharkiv adventure, so ecscuse moi if i'm not in time. SO! The raisine of Kharkiv is that it is 3 times bigger than Paris and have 2 times less people. Frankly speaking, Kharkiv consists of a several villages, and its districts are named by the villages. If you are interested, i can tell you some stories about Kharkiv

Kharkov - transliteration from Russian language, Kharkiv - from Ukrainian.

@@23cittadinos interesting case. In Polish it's only one form of translation: Charków. Why Americans translating name of the same city by two ways: russian and ukrainian?
