Introducing a new Rotor Riot series, "Learn to FPV". This series is designed to help new comers to the hobby learn to be fully independent. We will be releasing three episodes every Friday until the playlist is complete. As new technologies emerge we will maintain the playlist with by updating and amending videos. This is meant to be THE playlist for helping people into the hobby. So, if you know someone just getting into FPV, please point them here! And if you are a newcomer yourself, welcome to the best hobby ever! You are in the right place.
Also, regular Rotor Riot episodes will continue to premiere EVERY MONDAY, so stay tuned to the channel for your regular dose of Rotor Riot madness ;)

Talk about great timing! I started into the Drone world with a mavic Air and pro 2 because I love cinematography and photography. Then I bought a bugs 3 and really had a great time learning how to do flips and pushing it beyond its limits... long story short I just ordered a tinyhawk and I'm dipping my toe into fpv. So I'm really excited about these videos because I've been absorbing your videos and Bardwells videos like a sponge. Can't wait! Thanks!

Good idea for a video series. Please address: goggles for people who have to wear glasses. Are those people stuck with box goggles? Do you need a Ham radio lisence in the US to fly an FPV drone? I imagine at some point you'll have to talk about Part 107.

Nonplussed Productions you can get diopter for fatsharks, idk about skyzones and aomway googles, as far as I know it’s better to have a HAM license but some don’t bother.

Love watching all your videos Rotor Riot! Have been looking into getting a DJI Mavic Air but decided against it when I found your channel, I haven’t even built one yet, ordered all the parts and I already know that FPV is more for me than a boring cinematic drone 😅 I basically am just wondering once the drone is built, do I need to setup the drone on a laptop before actually flying it? Or can I fly it straight off the bat after the battery is attached?

You have to set up your radio and your quad on a computer or speedy bee app on your phone. Good luck it's hard to follow when you add the excitement of having all toys laying in front of you ready to go. It's best to start with a rtf whoop. The good news is the goggles are plug and play. Best advice is buy a radio and a simulator usb. Most likely you will be needing to fix your drone inside 5 min. (Not a joke) that's probably 4 1/2 min. Longer than you'll get to. Sounds bad but it's actually a lot of fun. Just frustrating at first. Till you figured out you almost never move the sticks more than a 1/4". The pilots you watch on here are extremely skilled pilots. Anybody can fly a mavic THATS WHY THEY ARE SO BORING. ITS SIMPLY A VIDEO CAMERA YOU CAN PUT WHEREVER YOU WANT. NO CHALLENGE IN FACT MOST DJI VIDEOS YOU WATCH THE DRONE IS ON A PLOTTED COURSE FLYING ITSELF. THE CONTROLLER IS USED TO OPERATE THE CAMERA GIMBAL
