Thank you, Triple-A, for another video drop. This is another excellent addition to the Western Area Rurual library. This area is gorgeous and I fear because of that is getting over-developed (if there was ever such a thing in Sierra Leone). The views here are spectacular, and I get the appeal and the land rush. I am still determining who would want to build in a swamp (but more on that later). That said, your timing for visiting these villages along this highway is impeccable, as we can almost see the sprawling beauty of this part of our wonderful country for miles. Thanks, Triple-A. This is excellent work. Keep on going, and we'll do our part as best as possible. These are massive compounds, especially that Long Fence area. I am still determining if these are corporate or privately owned properties, but that does not matter as they indicate money. With that kind of money, shouldn't the people developing this new community be able to band together and improve the roads and other desperate infrastructure needs? This is where the government's blame falls short for me. Everyone uses it as a default saying when describing Sierra Leone's challenges. But as you can clearly see, there is money there. If everyone were to fix the road and drainage outside of their property (especially that Long Fence one), there would be a marked improvement to the area and an increase in the value of these places. If and when the government falls short, those who lead in the community must step up and do what they can. If we do this community-by-community, we get to close the gap on many of our needs. It's a partial solution, but isn't it better than nothing? I mean, look at the one large house with a nearly wholly eroded road outside. How will you get to your home if the road is gone? What's the point of making such a massive investment when that happens? Then there's the consumption of swamplands for residential use. That makes no sense to me whatsoever. Even if we ignore the long-term impacts of eliminating the benefits of swamplands (which is serious in a world of volatile climate change) and look at this selfishly - who in the right mind pays to build a property on a swamp? Another short-sighted impulse that boggles the mind. We have to preserve and protect our God-given gift that is Sierra Leone, and this kind of behavior runs counter to that aspiration. Finally, on this topic, could you look at the wide open spaces in the provinces that Triple-A's explorations cover? Why must we destroy swamp lands instead of building up the provinces? So much here is a headscratcher for me. "Ok, make we cam back pan de shoutout bisness. Triple-A, me I falla dis video ya so te go reach na Faith Lane inside Mambo. Tenki for the walka and yagba, ya." Sorry for my long rant, Triple-A, but we often criticize people with less means for living under bridges in Freetown, while those with money are doing something similar (impacting the human footprint on the environment) out here. By no means am I suggesting people don't develop our country. We need your development and investment. But let's do it responsibly and leave something behind for future generations. Anyway... rant over. Thanks again, Triple-A, for another amazing video and all your efforts. We sincerely appreciate you. God bless, and we wait for the next one.

Triple A,ar Locked- in on these videos of this part of the western area ,to monitor the status / progress of the peninsula road construction up to Tokeh junction.I can't wait to see the completion of this road, which will boast tourism.Something has to be done to clear those shacks(" bafas, pan bodies") on the sides of the road to enhance the picturesque scenic essence of the peninsula landscape .

With all the resources/ minerals that nature has bestowed on this small country with a very manageable population, wealth such as diamonds, bauxite, rutiles, great weather with abundance of rain, fertile ground to mention few, all these and the roads look like this? I was born and raised in Sa Lone with my maternal parents native and I am not impressed at all.

It will take a thousand years by these so- called irresponsible governments to construct roads in these communities .This is a beautiful community, but the lack of planning mars its true beauty- people building fences right into the roads and right of way!.I also can't comprehend the penchant Sierra Leoneans have of destroying natural habitats - why on earth would people destroy swamps and forested hills to construct houses really beats my comprehension!..just reprehensible and hits me hard to my guts - it disgusts me.
