One of the things I was most anxious about was how they could possibly top “Welcome to Wildemount”. I was sure I would be disappointed. Hearing this in theaters completely soothed my fears.
Tal'Dorei Theme: "Explore, uncover, and behold the beauty of this world! See what it has to offer, and realize that it is worth saving!" Wildemount Theme: "The world is a dangerous place, especially for those who wander carelessly. It will rip into you with all it has, so return the favor ten fold!" Marquet Theme: "Cruelty. Anguish. Fear. Dread... You will experience these things as many do, but do not falter. No matter how many times you fall, stand up and KEEP. ON. FIGHTING!"
i am so excited for campiagn three , and so glad its in marquet , cause am middle eastern and matt already started including more middle eastern things into exandria like the Simurgh creature the wilders were riding , its a persian mythical animal ,and this soundtrack is dope
you know how welcome to wildemount is now just the mighty nein's theme? I mean, whenever I hear it I'm instantly transported back to the thrill of watching it for the first time. It might be a little different this time bc they don't do the art reel during break, but I can't wait for this to become the new party's theme, not just marquet's.
Update: one player went to go open a chest in the middle of combat and found out it was a mimic. One thing led to another and the mimic knocked him unconscious after depleting his hp pool and then he ended up failing all three death saves. (there were two chests, one was a mimic, the other wasn't) Another player knocked a rot troll down to 0 health and ran over to cast revivify so it turned out good for them. Rot troll of course came back to life but that didn't last long. Man, meat grinder's are fun. I'm also working on making a one shot for my fam on thanksgiving. My lil bro is gonna be a gnome sorcerer with wild magic LUL. I'm honestly having fun being a DM. Havn't been one for long but I'm getting the hang of things now. One of these days I'll be a player.
I find it funny how Campaign 3 is in Marquet, a desert region full of mystery and wonder......and how I finished watching(for the third time) Dune which takes place on a desert planet. I feel like Matt knew this would be a theme for 2021 lol
I think Deserts are great environments for story telling, because not only do you have man vs. man conflicts, but you also have man vs. nature a lot more than you might with plains and forests. I just started doing my very first campaign and knew that a desert would be the best place to go, not only because of the environmental dangers, but also because there are so many great real world cultures to draw from, such as the Old West, the Arabian desert, the Egyptians, or even something Indian. There is so much variety and possibility that I'm honestly more people don't do desert stuff more often.
this soundtrack is amaazing, glad they are exploring more of the middle eastern themes and i cannot wait to watch how matt handles it. Love from Saudi Arabia been playing D&D since 2017.
Aw man, I miss the fan art reel. I don't really dig the official art, so I always skip it despite the dope music (and I don't watch live, because it's the middle of the night where I live)
I'm legitimately impressed with how they managed to so vividly capture the feeling of a Middle Eastern fantasy epic adventure without using ANY native instrumentation to strategically avoid angering any SJWs. This campaign is gonna have a lot of difficulty tiptoing around cultural identity issues, but if anyone can pull it off, the CritRole crew can. I'm looking forward to it. Also saving this to favorites. Banger music is banger.
Okay, but I need some help, I love this song, but I can’t seem to find it on Spotify, is it not on Spotify or is it just hard to find? Can someone help me out?
I tried to find them when I uploaded this. Do you know who composed this (other than critical role who I have credited for now)? Any help would be appreciated! Smiley day to you!
