Max for Live has been there for over a decade

@@KazeNoTaniFarmHakuba yes but I imagine there are a lot of people who don't know about Max or just had no time to delve into it. More videos like this would definitely help the new users get started more quickly and make it seem less intimidating than it appears to be.

I disagree, this is far too overwhelming for new customers who just want to "make a song", its an insanely powerful tool no doubt, but one limited to Ableton power users

Hi there - Thanks for the comment. If you drag the divider for the column to its smallest state, the BPM and time signature columns do disappear. But if you expand it, they will be visible after that and can't be made to disappear. It sounds like being able to clear those out is what you're looking for. thanks for the reply,@@Ableton ! yes so in my case i use Ableton as not only a sound design platform for live theater, but a playback and processing platform for live theater. solid as a rock! but after i'm done programming in tech rehearsal i hand off to the sound operator who triggers the cue (Scenes). i use the text field for information on the Cue name, page number, a description, maybe a line from the text. so i need as much text real estate as i can get, and also the most uncluttered Session space i can get to hand off to the operator. the old way, i had more space for info and it was more uncluttered to the right of the screen. (i also though adding tempo at time sig within the text of the Scene name was kinda charming, but that's my quirk:) also a feel like certain songwriters or other artists like to pull their Ableton sets toward the literary. so i think it would be great if designers or songwriters could cover the clutter and even include (fairly) extensive poetry, prose and information in the Master column. would also be great to be able to export and print the Column's text as a list. thanks for your attention and greetings from California!

Not exactly, Max has been around for much longer than FL studio-in fact, early versions of Ableton were developed in Max! Edit: Actually they were both developed around the same time, late 90's, but the point stands

Both are node based programming but Patcher only can take VST's as objects. Max does so much more than that allowing for scripting of things as well

max is older. i have used both. you get what you pay for. max has way more features, seamless interop with ableton, and also looks and feels so much better. there is no comparison. puredata is only free if your time is worth nothing

@@morecowbell2611 Used Live for almost 20 years. Jumped ship because they totally stopped supporting the software and became the Ableton Push company and started charging as much for their version updates as the full entry cost for other DAWs. Shit company.They lost the plot after version 8.
