Great Video! Please do Shiranui next! Fits the halloween theme being that they're zombies and they don't receive the love they deserve as an archetype.
@@panblu to be fair shiranui doesn't suck, their main problem is being locked into zombies but they have cool synergies and basically a turn skip floodgate.
@@Badbufon I much rather play old zombie or red eyes zombies variant, shiranui doesn’t cut it for me 🤷🏻♂️ sorry same goes for mayakashi too and vendread none of those 3 seems worthy to play. But hey that’s yugioh for us LOTS OF ARCHETYPE for every single player what I don’t like others might enjoy etc etc
I love how flexible Ghostrick is. Give this deck to 3 different players and they will generally come up with 3 different lists. It might not be the best deck, but it is a fun deck.
I am shocked how well he played with ghostrick. Very well played. Now I'm even more excited for the eventual Red-eyes Zombie deck with the main deck Red-eyes zombie dragon and the 2 synchros.
Great video! It might be a stretch for spooky but dream mirrors might be an interesting archetype to work with.the gimmick is interesting even if it is hard to work around but it's just a fun idea
Nordics next? Would be interested in seeing which direction Jesse would take the deck, if he'd just play it with Adventure or if he'd try a Warrior pile, SHS, Ghoti... The deck does have a decent amount of potential, its just that the Aesir suck and resolving the link 1 is do or die sadly.
This list and gameplay was very good and is probably the best build of Control Ghostrick I’ve seen. A few things from my experience playing the deck though. 1. Renovation is SO good. It can get you any field spell, and while Necrovalley and Secret Village are the obvious ones, it’s worth noting that you’ll be able to instantly turn it off on your own turn, so normally problematic 2-sided floodgates like Extra Net and Summon Breaker also work wonders. More importantly though it lets you set up an easy 6-material Zeus as long as you did the F0 climb earlier the game. 2. Parallel Exceed is a great card for a free Angel of Mischief when combined with any Ghostrick Monster. 3. The Adventure engine has a ton of synergy with the deck. Especially if you’re on Siren and have a chance to mill Water Enchantress.
Summoned skull is the OG scary monster in my opinion. At least Summoned Skull beat down was all the rage when I was a kid. Could that be a possible Halloween video with some of the newer support?
I originally just wanted to make my usual joke about how a Ghostrick deck has too many Ghostricks but this was actually pretty fun to watch. The problem is the deck is not good, but when somebody makes it look good it makes me want to craft the URs and play it anyway. Excellent video!
Lovely to see you attempting Ghostricks. And a real Ghostrick list, all about control instead of Shot + XYZs into UDF. As someone that plays the deck since its release, I couldn't be happier to see your take and replays. Keep up the amazing work as always. As for some tips about the deck, people tend to play both Mansion and Festival instead of Museum for the Field Spells. Since you have Renovation, you can just switch from one to the other - especially from Mansion to Parade, so you can get some resources from Deck, then switching back to Mansion so you take half damage. They also maximize on the "can't flip" Trap Card and cut the "flip during Battle Phase" one, but you did super well on playing both of them. There's also an argument about playing Nekomusume but it's circunstancial, though Doll is a great card to just flip everything in the end phase and summon a body. And for the Level 1 of your choice, having Lantern is a guaranteed stop for the opponent, since Jackfrost is too circunstancial - but still a great card to consider. And what I enjoy doing: Having different win cons for every Level 3 - either a mill deck with Skeleton, a burn deck with Werewolf or a OTK deck with Ghoul, but never all of them at the same time as you may not have none of them. There's no "right play", only "your preferred one".
@@ovelhadogelo I think mine run that way, too, though I ran a lot of trap support and going second cards. I have the physical cards now, and the deck only has engine pieces at the moment since I'm still feeling it out. Looking at what I can add to it from my collection. The worst thing is getting the neko lock on a full board and opponent just passes. Ok, I attack for eight hundred.... Opponent, please concede, my boss monster has 2k attack, and you removed her.
The fact that the angel line has been demoted to the UDF line is legitimately hurting this community. Please there are so many things this simple line can do it's not just UDF, and they are our xyz. We are an xyz control deck stop denying half of our monsters.
Would love to see vampires, vampire ghost, voivode, and zombie vampire are such cool cards. Maybe make like a going second variant that is focused on stealing opponents stuff to get into zombie vampire / dhampir and stuff with their cool level modulation abilities? I love the “lore” or whatever how the vampire cards “hypnotize” opponents monsters to help get into the boss monsters. Also shout out to frauline, such a beautiful secret rare card.
i think the list is cool just that in your explanation socuteboss doesn't let you add a ghostrick card from your gy to your hand when she is sent to the gy (unlike dullahan and alucard) and also i feel like renovations is a must in the deck bc it lets you tag your ghostrick field for any other field in the game like summon breaker, necrovalley or secret village (jurrac volcano in the future as well with protection from your ghostrick vanish)
I think maybe a copy or two of Terrors in the Hidden City might be a good inclusion in Ghostricks since when you flip them up they'll gain 1500 atk while also gaining a extra layer of protection for your set monsters.
I'd love to see more people pick up Ghostricks. I love this archetype but it's pretty slow. When I tried getting ideas for decklists, pretty much no one had anything new. So I essentially had to create my own 60 card control deck on Master Duel. It's not terrible, surprisingly, but most of my wins come from board breakers rather than the archetype itself. Tried to make it less reliant on the opponent attacking into me, more independent. I ended up teaching in some niche cards like Sol and Luna and this weird Penguin tuner card that special summons when you set a monster. It can modify it's level so you can synchro off the bat but typically XYZ it.
This deck would be really cool if at the end phase all your face* down Ghost trick cards shuffle themselves around on the field so it fits with the whole "scare" theme so they never know what they are attacking i think the field spell should do that Also can you make a series showing us meta decks and how you play them thanks jesse.
Gonna mention Tenyi again, I still feel like the deck is so fun to use and you can do a sorta wyrm pile or a synchro focused thing with yang zing or go all in on the non-effect monster thing, the deck lacks a normal summon too
Actually surprised how well it went! I thought about building it and trying it out for myself but I cannot justify all the URs for it lol. Maybe one day..
nice video! I would love if you could add a Rogue scale of 1-10 that describes how good of a rogue deck you think it is at the end of the video. Or maybe a tierlist of all the rogue decks you made meta so far? :D
I love these videos, please to Scareclaw next. It’s a bit of a pet deck of mine ,and I think it fits the Halloween theme since all the monsters are these fear inducing beasts!
Amazing vids on the series! Helps me able to put up a fight with my favourite archtypes! Due to my lack of deck building skulls (not a typo) haven't succeeded on my own
I really like the Dogmatika engine in trap ghostrick, any ghostrick is a monster summoned from the extra via the link 1 and punishment can send Alucard to add a ghostrick back
Do a zombie deck next! I've been playing Zombie World - Horus for the past few weeks, and while it's not the best deck out there, it is a tonne of fun!
Fantastic as always and just listening you commenting ur plays state of the game we the viewers learn so much ,how bout some abyss actors as it’s still spooky szn my goat 😂😎💯
Jesse, please try making a build for angel of mischief win con effect. the new materiactor and goblin biker stuff might be able to build up materials quick enough to win!
Since you're doing Flip monsters, I'd love to see you take on Krawlers! Krawler Soma is an absolutely buster card that's just waiting for someone to figure out.
I use Soma with my Ninja deck actually, the flip effects compliment the ninjas play style as well as enable mistu to do things like destroy cards as well as negate.
Nice, was hoping for some more techs but this is nice. I will leave one tech that if you ever get the time try it out. The angel line can access Twins of eclipse, this allows us to search thrice with angel out of a single terrortop and get lancer on the field. We can get more with an extra monster like a normal or a small goblin engine like 3 md 1 extra will make this an one card combo and get us an additional search. Which means we can get 3 traps/spells + 1 shot and 4 recovers from the grave.
@@Sucram685 So Basically Twins of Eclipse is a card that can be summoned out of 2 level/rank 4s and if send to grave it specials an xyz. We do the basic angel combo so for our example let's use terrortop. Special terrortop go through the angel line, stop at the second angel. Normally you got no search target, you now do. Search Ghostrick renovation. Overlay both for Twins of eclipse, use her effect to detach and then summon armored fortress to add armored and full armored from deck. Twins of eclipse in grave, special angel and add Any Ghostrick field. Now you have a lancer and any field in the entire game. If you have an additional monster you can make I:P as well. If you have an additional level 4 monster instead, you can overlay 1 of the angels with the 4 leaving the other angel on field and make UDF when you special summon the third. Here's how a small goblin engine of, gabonga in the extra and dugger, merci and entrance make this an 1 card combo. Summon gabonga, search dugger, dugger for entrance, entrance search and special merci. Now you have 2 level 3s and Gabonga. Gabonga however is a rank 3, so we can use utopic lancer to rank it up into a 4 and from there we get lancer + UDF + any field. But that is not all, we can get another Rank 3 xyz with the GY of entrance and merci. Which means we can make alucard into angel again. You also don't need 3 angels for this, you send alucard to grave so much you just recover one. Now we simply festival.
@@Sucram685 Ha... I guess I didn't click enter and my answer got deleted... Ok so Twins of eclipse reads. If this card is send to the GY you can revive an XYZ, and it requires 2 level/rank 4 as materials. I presume you know how the combo works so let's go to the good part. After you summon the 2 angels, through any 2 level 1, 2, 3 so let's say terrortop, you would go UDF since you didn't have a second target. Now you have one, you search renovation, you overlay both angels into twins, use her effect to remove a mat and summon armored fortress with her. Use his effect to detach 2 and search armored xyz and full armored xyz, then activate twins to revive angel. Now you can search a third time and you search a Ghostrick field. This 1 card combo is lancer + any field in the game + Twins of eclipse into rotation with the armored spell. Let's say you have an extra monster since we used terrortop that's any monster in hand. Now on top of it you can make I:P. If However that extra monster was a level 4 you can, overlay for twins that level 4 and an angel so that when you revive angel you can make UDF. So now you have UDF + Lancer + Any field + Twins of eclipse into rotation. If we add a small engine of 1 gabonga, 1 merci, 1 entrance, 1 dugger we can make Gabonga with terrortop and get 3 rank 3 xyz worth of material. Additionally you're now on the second scenario of I:P + Lancer + Any field + twins of eclipse in rotation. Except, any rank 1-3 xyz can be ranked up into a 4 with utopic armored so now we're on the third one. Here's how the gabonga combo works if you never played goblins. Gabonga search dugger, dugger special for entrance, entrance search and special merci. Now you got 2 level 3s and you go through the Gt combo, later on you can activate the entrance in Gy to add dugger back, then summon merci and special summon dugger to make another 3. This is lancer, UDF, Festival, 3 different Ghostrick spell/trap + shot, 4-5 recoveries through alucard + twins of eclipse into rotation. You can basically search most of the Ghostrick traps from 1 card and all you need is a set Ghostrick monster. You will end on festival, but festival is a virtual ghostrick, it can't make scare live during main phase 1 and it can easily get popped or negated.
Hi Jesse! Just some viewer feedback maybe try having less cut aways when explaining the cards? Found it hard to focus on the card(s) being taught from all the transitions. Maybe just keep it to be Textbox x Card // Card digitizing while explaining the card for ease of viewing.
Very disappointed to see an actual playset of a Ghostrick monster in this list. Has MBT taught you nothing? Jokes aside, glad to see a Ghostrick video. Vendreads would be nice to see before spooky month is over!
