Hi Tim, I'm researching family history which features a John William Lambert, Master Mariner born in Wisbech 1839/40, married to Sarah Burrows Ilett and operated three small ships based in South Shields until his death in 1885/6. I was wondering whether you have reseached your own family tree and if so whether it intersects with mine at any point.

I have written about life in the Middle Ages but it concentrates on England rather than Scotland. I will see if I can find anything about Medieval Scotland.
Hello Tim - As you have knowledge of the Tower of London, do you know if there is a "historical society" connected with it? I am trying to find out whether a RAMC relative (early 20thC) was a Medical Officer there. Somewhere there must be a source of information about people who held this position!
