A 36-YEAR-OLD woman loves Barbie so much she has spent $80,000 to turn her apartment into a Barbie shrine. In a pink, pink kitchen, in a pink, pink apartment, a pink, pink Barbie superfan cooks some pink, pink eggs. Azusa Sakamoto doesn’t just like Barbie, she LOVES her. The 36-year-old has dedicated her adult life to building up a Barbie collection worth an estimated $80,000. Every inch of Azusa’s West Hollywood apartment is crammed full of Barbies and related memorabilia. Azusa, who works as a nail artist, even customises her furniture so that everything from her fridge and kettle in the kitchen, through to the loo in her bathroom, have all been Barbie-fied.

The sad thing is, real ignorant and edgy people will call her childish and cringey just for being more on the feminine side and her liking Barbie. I wish society can see that being feminine and girly is okay. Also wearing cute and colorful stuff. Nowadays, being tough and wearing badass is all of a sudden better and empowering women whereas being cute and girly is considered “weak” or trying to be submissive towards men. It’s honestly saddening. I love that she can be herself. I’m tired of Mfs that bring down women for being like this. What’s wrong with being feminine and cute? That doesn’t make you any less of a strong person or feminist if you are one and it definitely doesn’t make you less empowering. A cute and feminine woman is just as strong and empowering to other girls.

In the west, it’s weird and uncommon for people wearing youthful and feminine cute looks and have cute actions and behaviors but in the East it’s okay. I personally think the west should be more open minded. Vice versa with the East(but they’re already kinda more open minded since badass and edgy themes are like the thing right now and the fashion is booming over there).

Mr. McCluckster not really. I have battle with depression/ anxiety and panic attacks for a while now. My goal now since I'm pregnant is to keep it under control so it won't affect the baby. At least that..then I work on getting rid of it. But all they do is give me pills since my case it's a bit difficult

Suiren Kamiya actually they clearly do look like fillers. When she talks you can see points in her face that don't move naturally. She clearly has fillers. Stop trying to defend this woman. She seems nice but she's not 100% natural. There are natural botox styles. There are many women that have filler San botox and you wouldn't be able to tell because they didn't go over the top with it.

I love Barbie too. I had the first ever doll that came out. I thought she was beautiful. To my 5 year old self she was a glamorous lady. I am 63 years old now and I have a Bewitched Barbie doll on my bookcase. This young lady is enjoying her life and certainly made me smile. Thanks.
