Even with censorship on, Cyberpunk is apparently too hardcore for YT and has been hit with monetization penalties. Your support watching this series and future videos is much appreciated, and I hope that this isn't a massive issue for the majority of the let's play. If you'd like to support me directly I do have a Patreon, and as a thank you for allowing me to do this full time I give back 7 days of early access to my content! catch up and be ahead of the 2077 playthrough if you'd like :) patreon.com/mapocolops
T-Bug: "Fingers crossed it's not too late. Ugh, hate this life or death shit. Hurry." Mapo: **Rummages through the kitchen, spends time on a computer, and admires plastic textures as intense music plays** Doesn't she know who is playing? lmao
You're not wrong about that 6 month gap. Jackie's written well enough that he's still likeable and you'll probably form a good connection to him, but skipping over all that actual bonding time does feel like a misstep by the game.
I kind of agree, but the prologue for this game is already fairly extensive as it is, I'm not sure it would make much sense to draw it out even more just for this. The corpo backstory doesn't have this issue imo as you already know Jackie from the start, maybe they should have made that the case for all of them.
@@outdunI always found it weird that it was the corpo life path that makes it so you already know Jackie because to me street kid would make the most sense because you grew up in the same neighbourhood as him and even frequent the bar that his mother owns.
Personally, I wish we had got those 6 months with Jackie as the DLC story instead of Phantom Liberty (But I get why they didn't, it would look bad for them, people would complain that they were making us pay for cut content)
Yeah, I can't wait to see him progress. I just finished my first playthrough recently, and that was a blast. I went Corpo, because I thought it would have some interesting interactions with other characters. I do find that it helps with some characters, but usually just pisses off most of everyone else. Phantom Liberty was awesome, and in general, I really appreciate the immersive artistic perspective. It's got good character interaction, and I really felt myself being in V's shoes. I've played a lot of games, and to have something so clearly fictional (at least for now) feel so right is not something I get often. I think the current reality of AI makes it more immersive that way, and I also like that the game doesn't just treat AI like tools. They also make the difference between ANI, AGI, and ASI clear as well, with the main representation of that being the difference between Delamain and Alt, if you don't combine all of Delamain's personalities. I think Mapo is really gonna dig this game, and I'll be excited to see it through.
Everythiing up to the start of the montage is streetkid. The montage is the same regardless of how you start. It's just about getting you and Jackie to know each other and build some rep on the street.
@@kolosmenus I think it's something they'd liked to have done more with, but just didn't have the resource to do it. For me, I don't think it should change the main story at all, just slightly different paths to reach the same key areas. You do get a lifepath specific quest though. But it's very small and simple.
I started this game recently and picked Nomad. You start outside the city and once you get your cargo in with Jackie the montage plays. To me it felt great because it was establishing V in the city and I didn't have to deal with a ton of character introductions. I think the 6 month gap would have been kind of boring to play through honestly. Everyone is different, but I liked it.
yooooo CONTENT! just finished my own first playthrough+DLC recently after hearing the game is 'fixed', and it's fantastic(with some minor issues still) glad to have someone to watch who isn't dumb, boring or diverts 90% of attention to talking to stream chat
Dude you’re the PERFECT person for this. I’ve wanted to actually see what this game is about LP wise for a while. But one guy I watch - he edits a lot of it out, so I feel like I miss whatever the story is. And the other LPs i have saved are full blind LPS, but they’re by people that’ll annoy me 😂 So glad you’re walking me/us through this - appreciate you Mapo ❤
@@lockekappa500 I just don't get why people watch let's plays of games they want to play, even if this guy didn't. I watch let's plays of games I never intend to try, or games I've beaten. If I'm actually interested in trying a game I would never spoil it by watching someone else, but some people do. It's weird to me.
Oh god, it's happening! I haven't rushed to watch a video so fast after reading the notification. I really really hope you love this game! Male V is very good, and you'll hear no criticism from me, but if you ever do a second playthrough, I'd urge Female V because she has one of the very best voice acting performances I've ever heard.
Middle Manager at CDPR: "We need a quick bit of music for the beginning of Cyberpunk - it's just for the character creation part, so no need to go too hard." Cyberpunk: "SIT THE FUCK DOWN, HERE WE GO"
Oh boy, this is going to be a long playthrough! Enjoy the side missions, it's clearly one of the main selling points for this game IMHO, along with its soundtrack (especially in its DLC, Phantom Liberty)... Ironically, after finishing this game about 4-5 times, I personally had more annoying bugs after CDPR redeemed themselves by adding content and improving QoL. Regardless, it's still one of my favorite open world games at the moment. There are plenty of games in the Cyberpunk genre, but if I were to recommend only a few it would probably be Cyberpunk 2077, Deus Ex, and Syndicate (the very first one from Bullfrog).
My favourite bug was when it loads into the montage after you complete the intro, and all the characters are t-posing as the music that's in key but sounds so memeable starts playing... ...my sheer joy at encountering that *again* after I came back to CP after the 2.0 patch was the highlight of 2023 for me lol
I played this game for one hour on launch day and haven't touched it since. Then, 2 months ago, I started playing it again and I've been the time of my life
I'm actually SO excited to see you experience this, even with all the bumps in the road it was still one of my top 5 favourite games EVER, the story had me invested beyond any other game I'd ever played. and now with the DLC and all the patches it's only gotten better!
I’m excited whenever I see new cp blind playthroughs. Sure thr storyline isn’t perfect, but I love the experience minus the glitched that they hopefully fixed by now.
Its sad that censorship not only covered titty but covered all the dead bodies in the scavengers den. It might sound strange, but its pretty cool seeing how implants are integrated into the bodies with wires connecting to nerves and implants to the muscles and so on + it adds to the vibe
i fully agree...but i also think that CD Project RED did right to add such options (nudity censorship, copyright music filter etc.) to streamers and youtubers
Woohoo for a Mapo Cyberpunk playthrough! I do heartily agree with those advising to watch the anime sooner rather than later. The anime doesn't spoil the game's story, but the game can absolutely spoil the anime's story.
YAY!!! This and Baldurs Gate 3 are currently my most anticipated playthroughs for this channel! I’ve been with you from the start of your journey and I’ve watched so many hours of amazing gaming content with you. I’m super hyped you’re diving into this!!
it genuinely seems like you're the only person that actually takes in a game and enjoys everything it has to offer on this website, and that's saying a lot, i waited for this for a few months, you're gonna love this game man, big up!!
Oh thank god they fixed the sleep animation lmao. You used to just lie down facing your pillows, like half on and half off the bed. Like they forgot to rotate the animation 90 degrees to match the bed or something. Yes it's these minute things that I care about the most :P
I love how Jackie is a tutorial guide for the beginning of the game but he felt more then that he felt like a true friend a amazing voiced and written character I’m sad that he died still 😭
1:14:00 the montage goes for everyone actually. But it serves as a cool way to gove you an overview. Experiencing is always better, but there's plaenty to experience ahead.
The soundtrack, story, characters, dialogue, gameplay, lore and the art direction make this a game a certified masterpiece, pair it up with the anime and you have one of best fictional worlds ever created !!!
@@jeremywright9511 I didn't try it after the updates, maybe I will one day. But releasing it in such an unfinished state and advertising cut features was still scummy.
Omg I can't believe I came across your channel!!! I like that you take the time to play and even customise too, I'm so excited to watch the rest of the videos (I have a lot of catch up lol) It's also nice to follow another Australian streamer too 😋
Loved this game from release, even on console. Since I’ve found your channel a few years back I’d wondered if you were gonna play and can say I’m pumped to watch this whole thing! So many things you can do to immerse yourself in Night City and since release this game just keeps getting better and better. Have fun and enjoy brother mapo!!
fun fact, at 38:50 you see the number one there being Z1R343L aka Zireael (the Swallow in witcher's ancient elven which is the name given to Ciri a protagonist in the Witcher saga). I am not sure if you did play it, but my god if you get to play the witcher your mind will be blown!
Just subscribed cause I love this game and can't wait to see how you enjoy it! I played it at launch and waited for PL to release before my replays and I can say that it really feels like it finally has the love it deserves from the devs
No no! Don't leave your clothes in your stash! Every piece of clothes you pick up is forever with you in wardrobe. You should always take all clothes and sell/disassemble them after
@@syressx9098 it is in the respect that if you choose to play through the game and not scrap and sell everything. Putting them in your stash makes them accessible without having to carry the extra weight.
@@lungfulldrummer8921 But why do you need them accessible?? There always there for you in your wardrobe. Clothes have value only if they have stats, and it's not the case here.
Clothes are *almost* purely cosmetic, and once you pick something up it's permanently unlocked in your wardrobe, so you're free to sell all the clothes you pick up if you want. Excited to see you play this one!
Ohhhhh!!! I'm so excited for you! Can't wait to watch this episode and your journey in Night City. A loooooot of reading is coming up, one of my favourite parts of the game, all the lore scattered around ❤ let's goooo mapo (and fem V sounds totally baddass!!)
Extremely excited for this playthrough! I've been enjoing it myself past few weeks as well, waiting beforehand to give it a chance. Can't wait to find out what lifepath you're gonna gravitate to. I found my street kid female V most irresistable (as a girlie, her voice's just.. ugh) and personal "canon". Hope you enjoy it! PS. Now I'd say the walking toggle's very important in certain scenic moments, and it helps making the playing\viewing experience more smooth.
If you want to know what was in the tutorials you skipped, after stealth there is one on parrying and Katanas. Parry control is exactly what you would expect, block right before their hit to auto hit them back and take no damage. Of note in the stealth tutorial: marking enemies to see them through walls permanently, and marking cameras to see their field of vision in real time. Also you can scan lots of things in the world to get more info on it, not just for hacking / marking enemies.
Really happy I found your channel, it's my favorite game off all time and to see someone pay attention to textshards and details is feels really satisfying to watch along. Great video!
Don’t worry even without the parts from the time jump the game still does an amazing job of getting you to like Jackie. Though it still is kinda disappointing we don’t get to experience everything.
Very rocky launch (infamously so), and by no means perfect (early game montage is one great example of this), but the game is in a pretty good place now, and a thoroughly enjoyable experience imo.
If you’re thinking of doing another start path still I highly recommend female V when it comes to voice acting! Just fits so well as a cyberpunk protagonist and is an incredible performance. Personally just not a fan of the male voice.
I like them both about the same but the different performances give a good reason to replay the game, especially since your voice determines your possible love interests
haha yea it's hard to place the delivery of lines and I guess you can say raspiness in her voice is badass. I should definitely give the other performance another chance though @@namenlossterbliche6239
Holy cow, I just finished watching my first of your playthroughs, which was Disco Elysium, and I really loved it. I can't stop watching people play Cyberpunk Blind at the moment and here you are! Amazing, can't wait to see you experience my favourite game!
Let's Go!! I'm so excited you finally got to play this. I played it for the first time last year after all the patches and DLC and it quickly became one of my favorite games. I'm not a big RPG player but there's something about Project Red's way of telling their stories and crafting character interactions and side quests that I just love so much. Also as others have mentioned have mentioned it, I actually recommend watching the anime along with the playthrough. It worked great for me, it acts sort of a companion piece or even prequel story and there's a certain hidden side quest that is related to the show.
You single handily made me wanna to go and finally play the games that I've brought from past Steam discount sales but never played like Dishonored and now CP2077 and I thank you for that.
Mods may delete this or not, from what I remember you can actually do Phantom Liberty once you get out of the area with Jackie, but it's recommended to not play it till towards the end. the game will give you a "no return" type option near the end. I would do Phantom Liberty around that time, then continue past the "point of no return."
nah, you have to play through the main story until (spoiler spaces) you finish the voodoo boys quests before Dogtown becomes accessible (since you need to have been to the Blackwall for Song Mi to contact you, storywise)
Yessss. I just finished this a couple of weeks ago for the first time and really enjoyed it. I think you'll really like it. Some parts are gonna be tricky with RU-vid, however lol
Mapo, if you decide to play Witcher games, if possible read the original books first. The games don't follow them directly, but you'll be much more immersed in their atmosphere and have more fun. To CP2077: 1. "Body" and Technical ability" will allow you to open locked doors, this is useful for stealth you can outmaneuver enemies for example. 2. With "Intelligence" (Netrunning), V can kill all the enemies in a building literally sitting in his underwear around the corner (cameras ;-). 3. IMHO, the best transport in NC is a bike, cars handle worse even after the update. By the way ARCH is Keanu Reeves' company :) 4. Walking around NC, turn in the nooks there you can find a lot of "small plots", such as a corpse with a backpack(loot) and a note. 5. There's a lot of cool stuff in combat there: katanas, throwing knives, monowire, invisibility, smart guns. Game is big try it all :) Have a good game, it's great!
CDPR did such a good job giving you that WOW the first time you come down from your apartment and walk out into the open city. The intro of the game, they keep you indoors, in alleys and in the dark til then so you get the full impact.
YOOOOOO THIS PLAYTROUGH IS GONNA BE HYPEEEE, seriusly tho this game is probably my favorite game out there, i've played the damn thing like 7 times already, specially more now with the dlc, glad to see you do a playtrough on it my man, waiting to see what kind of build you can make cause they're all so good
Yeeeeaaah! Very happy you got to this game! For an environment lover such as yourself, this will be a treat (you already might have guessed that) Small tip about your outfit, you have your "Wardrobe outfits" which is basically a "skin", compiling every clothing items you find in the game, and then the items you equip in your inventory which take into account the perks of said items. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do (6 runs, around 500+ hrs on it) Have fun!
finally!! I was hoping to see you play this game since I saw you play the Kojima's games, you put all of your attention to the story and it makes your playthroughs so satisfaying to watch with this kind opf games where the narrative is the best. I hope you enjoy my favorite game ever.
Oh I didn't know this LP would drop. That'll be top content. Mapo is the analyzing type who looks behind the obvious and this story-driven game isn't as obvious as I thought when I played it.
They should have started where you already knew Jackie, done a couple missions to build a connection and maybe have done the car-jacking heist as a flashback later on in the story as part of the grieving process.
Blind Playthrough? Man I wish I could go back in time to do another blind playthrough! This is by far one of my favorite games! Played it on PC when it was original released and have played through it several times again after PL was released! 🎉 You are appalled by the origin stories? 😂 All three are great, but my favorite is Nomad. You just get special dialogue choices with each life path
I love this game and it is my favorite of all time. never really had any issues at launch and I can't wait for people to just not even need to talk about that anymore.
I played this early release and version 1.3 and the latest update it's pretty solid these days but still would like more to be added more little details stuff to make it more alive 🙃
I recently started my Cyberpunk journey and I absolutely love it. Already have 100 hours in it and haven't even gotten halfway through the story, and I still have the Phantom Liberty expansion to get to as well.
Let's gooooo. Hope you enjoy this game, choom. I know I did, I have 350 hours in it already haha If you have any specific questions that aren't spoilers, feel free to ask! I'm very well versed with most systems due to multiple playthroughs ^-^
2:07:11 Ive never seen this bug before, thats an unfortunate one especially since the news segments and such are sometimes very interesting. Hopefully its a one off bug.
Preem first episode. Happy to see you taking it slow as usual, to soak in the game world as much as possible. And am stoked that you picked male V, I don't have anything against female V, just a preference. I don't mind if you gonna read most of the database off camera, there's so much to read. Very excited to watch you play this game, and already am craving for more episodes!
It's the opposite for me, cherami leigh is such an incredible voice actress and I feel she brings more out of V during emotional scenes more than male V
