Welcome to my brand new let's play on Farming Simulator 17 We take a trip over to Northern Ireland to start work on BallinCraig Estate FiatAgri 140-90 www.modhoster.... BallinCraig Estate Map - www.farming-si...
Usually in Ireland people have new Holland, John Deere, case, jcb(mainly handlers like the pivot steer one you had on green river or the wheel loader because lots of contractors use them for silage, wholecrop and maize). Massey are also used as well as claas but mainly the forage harvesters are claas. They're all the main makes and models for you Daggerwin:)
For the plowing of new fields from a grass field, it is better to enable the 'create field' option on the heads up display when using a plow, as some textures stay as the original ground even after being plowed. Great video as always daggerwin, liking this map a lot!
Hi Dagger... I think a good idea (while doing road verg work perhaps) would be to prune the overhanging branches along the road a part of your council work. :-) Get a good works truck with some beacons/hazards to hold traffic while you work.
Welcome to Northern Ireland, love the map. Just like round here with tight ditches and gateways. On the tractor front it's mostly New Holland, Massey Ferguson some John Deere and Fait agri. But take care of your machine size or you'll (irl) lose gateposts all the time lol
Turn field 3 into a small orchard (about 30 trees) Edited the xml and get rid f the sheep and the sheep buildings. Gives you an extra field and more space to store equipment. Plant a tree in the triangle of grass left in the field.
I just started my own play through on this map, and I’m using the Massey-Ferguson 1970-1990 pack. And it works perfectly, all the implements are perfect size and there is something in every category. I extremely love the swather(mower, just USAtalk) give it a go, and the tractors even have interactive features and I’m on console even!!!
Can I suggest the Creator Tools Mod. It allows you to quickly move around (Q&Z), go into the air(mouse scroll wheel or Shift+1,2or3) and changing your FOV(Alt=1,2or3) without having to mess about with the developer tools you can also turn on and off the money aswell so you do not always have to edit the xml file all the time. And turn the hud on and off without messing with the unload pipe on a harvester all the time. The only downside is you cannot use it with manual attach unless you change the key bingings www.farming-simulator.com/mod.php?lang=en&country=us&mod_id=69742&title=fs2017
Hay dagger great video! Little tip for the grass you can’t plow change the setting to create field and it will plow the grass on the middle of that field
JCBs are common enough in Northern Ireland, mainly as a farm's largest tractor. Other than that lots of John Deere 6910/30 premium and 6R series. New Holland T.6 and T.7. More rare would be Masseys and Case
The JCB is quite used in Northern Ireland and the New Holland and some John Deere as well. Love your bids and I was subscribed to you for quite long now.
I’m from Northern Ireland and new Holland John Deere and massy Ferguson r the most common claas and duetz r pretty rare great videos I liked and subbed and there’s pretty much no fendt in nortern Ireland
One thing i would like to see in Farm sim is like a machine/utility showroom where you can see what customization's you are putting on your tractor with out spending money on chopping and changing the customization's and so you can choose which ones look the best and which ones work best for certain jobs and the job you are doing.
Wow your busy today daggerwin! Love your vids the more the merrier! Also your voice has the David Attenborough effect on me, can you start doing wildlife documentaries on the side? Lmao
Dagger that should be the biggest tractor on the farm as most farms that size here in NI wouldn't have much over 130. A nh 7740 or something similar and a 134 they are 2 extremely popular tractors.
I've worked out why you had patches of grass left in field 1. The grass fields on the map are setup as fields (so as people have mentioned can be cultivated as well). This means that they can be ploughed without having "create fields" activated on the plough and I think this is what you did. The patches where it didn't plough are spots where the field isn't defined and therefore require the plough to have the "create fields" option turned on in order to plough up the grass.
There are two gates (three if you count the one you came in) in the little field. Buy the next door field, then it would be easy to get in. They may not let you though. Can you put "new" gates in a "fence that you bought?" {{ I didn't get too far in 13FS to now. }} Great vid by the way.
There's a lot of Massey in Ireland. Try start with about 30 cows because the bales are used up really quick and it does state on the map info that it is a dairy farm
Wow that map is insanely small, which isn't bad. I was just really suprised. With F1, you might also want to consider if you can fit a combine in there.
my two cents, I think you should do what any farmer world do and sell the pigs then equally split between sheep and cows. love you vids. keep up the good work. also please no more time lapse on truck build. thanks.
Most unrealistic thing about this map is the speed of the traffic (I know that can't be changed though). Drivers (at least from my experience) don't hang about on A or B roads. There aren't many motorways so we just travel that pace on whatever other roads we have. Keep 'er lit.
Daggerwin although Masseys are common in Ireland. In my opinion you use them too often so could you use something different for a change also great vids and great map
