I cried like a baby when Olivia was talking about how much she loved Ethan and Moriah and how much she was hurt when they turned and stabbed her in the back and used her as a skapegoat. The Plath parents are noting but hypocrites and the most un Christian people I know. Shameful

I don't think it was their fault. They certainly didn't help the relationship, but Ethan is a grown ass man, and he chose to espouse some really fucked up views that were hurtful to Olivia, he also did not communicate with her when thats all she begged him to do for years. He is at fault. what kind of husband tell his wife he does not want to have kids with her?

Mariah isn’t making any eye contact with Olivia while “apologizing”. She doesn’t come across as sincere. More as someone who’s just trying to get through this awkward moment. And I believe Olivia loved Ethan. She put up with a lot to be with him, and to try to make her marriage work.
In my opinion, Moriah did not have good communication skills. Olivia always said what she meant and believed that if others didn't agree with her she would listen to their opinion. It's very sad that their sweet young love could not save the marriage. No one should have to pick between a parent or sibling. I wish them all the best.

Ethan and Olivia totally isolated themselves in Minnesota and still couldn't work out their issues. Maybe their marriage split because Olivia wanted him to isolate from his family. Once you marry someone, you have married their family also.

I give Moriah credit finally apologizing for her actions against Olivia who was so gracious accepting it. She suffered a lot of emotional pain from that family.
Everyone on here is hating on Olivia but let’s not forget how she took Mariah under her wing. Olivia has been through her trauma and has had a lot happen in the fundamentalist world. And the Plaths were raised similar. Olivia took Mariah on as a little sister and helped guide her through a harsh time. And Mariah was having a hard time before Olivia came into the picture. Ethan stated that as well. It goes both ways in their actions. But with Olivia in this she has a right to be bitter and hurt. Especially when a burn book song is written about her, I would be bitter too, and also saw Mariah’s insta stories. And there is more that we aren’t seeing on screen. Mariah’s feelings are valid and she’s young, and growing. Also both the Plaths and the Meggs (Olivia’s side of family) have narcissistic tendencies on both sides. That was what Lydia Grace said on Sarah Fraser interview. That’s the fundamental world and teachings that were taught. And all of you don’t know the full on facts or back stories. But I’m team Olivia on this one! Love her and I’m a big fan!❤

Moriah should have told her why she was angry, that she felt Olivia was closer to her when she was distanced from her family. That would have made more room for Olivia to take accountability.

Does anyone see that Olivia has been running away from her problems? The further she kept going, the more problems she had. It seems she was trying so hard to push Ethan away and bring him to this point. Notice how she wanted him to make the decision for divorce. She didn't want to be blamed for it, but she was done with him a long time ago. Then, how quickly she moved on. She didn't want what Ethan wanted in life. They were bound for divorce because their dreams were too different. Poor Ethan tried his best to make it work, but she was jealous of his cars. He did work on balancing that out for her, too. It wasn't good enough.

Dang,the last episode of this season will air in 5 days.Hope #5 of season 6 provides some entertainment.It's incredible how so many damaged people are featured on WTP.I watch with my wife and honestly, this program is like a train wreck;you can't look away.Still,it is amusing at times given the personalities of the cast.I have nicknames for some of them.I call Barry 'the stork',Kim is 'big mama' and Ethan is named "horseface'.The WTP scene that stands out to me is the one when Olivia persuades Ethan to drink alcohol for the first time and he is concerned regarding the after effects the next morning could result in an "overhang" .(in his words.)

No she didn't, Olivia grew up and realized she didn't need to stay in a controlling religion, strict families and could be a women who thinks for herself. She never got that growing up, and she gained independence. Her family and the Plaths are toxic
The problem I had with this meeting netween Olivia and Moriah is that Moriah was willing to admit mistakes she had made, but Olivia refused to come to terms with what she did. Olivia is obviously very controlling and wanted only to isolate the Plath siblings from their parents. This is not realistic when you marry into a family. Although Barry and Kim are not perfect, I don't see them as the poisonous cancer Olivia makes them out to be.
I agree. Olivia is a selfish, deceitful person. I wouldnt have apologized to her. From the start all she did was bad mouth the parents. Anyone thinking she's an angel need to watch early episodes. I like looking back because then you can see what shes been up to with trying to destroy the family

Absolutely, statements here seem to identify with her but i see hidden agendas. There's an ulterior motive with her. I think she had something going on that we're not seeing on screen but we will soon. To be so ready to dissolve after going thru much to me says she's already started something that has yet to appear. Ethans heart is broken and has done alot to be with her as well. It's alot that first love especially if it comes equally on both sides.
Everyone has grown up according to her, she doesn't need to cause she's already perfect with everything she does. That's what i get from her. She's right and going to make everyone right like her.
I also think she loved Ethan at the time b/c she was getting away from her FAMILY with some grace by being married and not a harlot being single and out on her own. There's an agenda to me for everything and every move.
I don't care for Olivia. I think she is manipulative and tried to tear Ethan away from his family. She was projecting the problems she had with her own family onto ethans family. Just my unpopular opinion.
I don’t understand all the praise for Olivia. Olivia is a miserable woman who wanted to separated her now ex husband Ethan from the rest of the family. Watching all the episodes since season 1 it’s crystal clear how Olivia had a HUGE INFLUENCE on not only Ethan but Moriah as well. Yes Olivia was kind enough to be a moral support for Moriah when she had issues with her family and she encouraged her to pursue her dreams, but at the same time when both Ethan and Moriah wanted to make amends with their mom and the rest of the family that’s when Olivia became spiteful and immature. She refused to support her husband in his decision and she refused to act as an adult and talk to his mother 1 on 1 to make amends. It’s almost as if Olivia became the dictator in the relationship and she gave Ethan an ultimatum by saying: “It’s either me or your family because I don’t want you talking to your mother.” Sorry but Olivia is TOXIC TO THE CORE. She’s demanding and narrow minded and she had to behave like a child around Ethan’s family when they invited her to the family get together, Olivia was the first one to behave like a child. She was demanding by saying she refused to go up to the family first and she wanted the family to come over where she was standing. Now I will admit Ethan has a lot of flaws and he lacks in communication, but Olivia was far from being a perfect wife.
It seems there’s a lot more to the story than you describe here. Did you forget that Olivia wants a family, but Ethan (as much as I love him and my heart breaks for him) told Olivia they couldn’t have children, because he didn’t want her to influence his kids with her difference of beliefs religiously and politically. It just goes to show how divided we can ALL be, not just the Plaths. It’s time to stop all the nonsense and learn some love, understanding, compassion and tolerance for each other as the precious human beings we ALL are, not just some of us.
@@ButtercupK I only wrote the main problem between Olivia and Ethan. Olivia can be a very negative person. She explained about her estranged relationship with her parents and I feel Olivia carries a lot of resentment about that. She might be jealous of the relationship Ethan had with his family since now everybody wants to make amends and just move on. Her putting ultimatums to Ethan is wrong. Yes that’s his wife but she should never make him pick between family and his spouse. She can be manipulative and never wants to take accountability of certain things. Just recently Olivia claims she recognized some of her mistakes but she never specified in details. I’m glad Olivia and Ethan never had kids because the truth is they were never meant to be. Olivia is more mature than Ethan. He struggles with communication among other things but Ethan has every right to feel disappointed with Olivia. Everything he does is never good enough for her. He either does what she wants and says or else she’s unhappy. Ethan is maturing slowly and he’s realizing how much she had hold of him and it wasn’t just Ethan, Micah and Moriah saw the light as they started getting older. If Olivia would’ve just handled the situation differently, set her feelings aside and spoken to her mother in law to make amends everything would’ve ended on a happier note between them and I’m sure they would still be married. Sadly she didn’t and that was the final straw.
I truly appreciate that you are willing to see both sides in the situation, Amana. We also need to remember that what we know about ‘anyone’ else’s life, is just a dot in a the huge circle that their life is. Especially, when tv shows are portraying the situation with their own slant, in order to create real life drama. Obviously, there’s truth in the story and there’s real pain being felt, by ALL of them, as these are real lives, but we also can choose to be a part of the healing process, by having kind and loving thoughts for them ALL. This obviously isn’t the objective of the show and it can be difficult to keep it all in perspective (my personal experience talking here, so def not pointing fingers 😇) but I can tell from your comments that you are actually a very good, kind, caring, compassionate and loving person yourself, so you should feel very good about that. ❤️
