I love this! Indeed there not a lot of down to earth podcasts on the brand, thank you!

I have two Cabrios and driving them with the top down is just fantastic. And hello Will, I'm the guy who purchased your MY02 wheels.

Surprised only a few people left a review. Very informative. Keep up the good work.

Great public service episode for our very very narrow segment of the population, both experts seem to be saying, there will be blood, enter at own (probably great) risk. Research research and research. But boy is it fun. Very notable concept learned, there are cars that are point A to A

Funny thing I'm noticing about PORSCHE guys, the cost of ownership... I'm a 60 year old construction worker, certainly of no great means. Took me most of my life to obtain my dream of 911 ownership, of course it's a 996, been a GREAT car, none of the usual 996 issues, but plenty of the "normal" 911 issues, which alone can cost a small fortune, so what do most "real" PORSCHE guys have in common? They really don't care! It's simply the "cost of doing business", it's like the child you spoil, no matter what it is, you buy it for them because of the love you have for the child... and now, it's the cars turn, the loves not the same of course... but close Good luck with the channel, off to a terrific start "Douchery"... Perfect!

Nice job with episode 1! Looking forward to more content and discussion, and opinion about model comparisons. Another topic I don’t hear discussed much is what it is like to attend the different high profile Porsche events/car shows, maybe something you could cover in the future? Thanks guys

I'd be interested in a show on transaxles. I thought only aircooled for a long time but the 924S is a fun car actually.

nicely done - a good balance of Layman perspective vs. the overly technical supposed expert bent

Thanks for the compliment. That’s exactly the vibe Derek and I are going for. The technical info content is great and useful but I have had so many requests for this type of podcast.

Regarding 911 cabriolet vs coupe, I find it interesting that in other brands the cabs are generally higher value than coupe. McLaren /Ferrari. If you are a track king, buy a coupe. If not, buy what floats your boat.

Agree on the 981 Spyder comments. I ordered and took delivery of one in 2015 and only recently sold it. This car is insanely fun, and a certain future classic.

I don’t understand snobbishness towards Boxsters. Check out my username. 😂. I feel like I have street cred in that opinion having owned probably at least a dozen 911 variants over the past 35 years. I used to be indifferent towards Boxsters until I owned one. I tracked a converted 986 Boxster S for many years, and am still working to equal the track cornering speeds I had in that humble little car with my current 991.1 GT3 Cup car. Yes, that 986 mid engine chassis is that good. I currently own 2 street cars, a 993, and a 986 Boxster S. The 993 is absolutely magical in terms of the emotional connection it elicits, but if you asked me what’s the perfect all around sports car, I’d put that 986 S at or near the top of the list.

As someone who drives a 991 Cup car on track, I find it quite amusing that anyone would take grief for choosing to have a sunroof in a street car because of any limitations to track use related to chassis rigidity. If you really want to maximize lap times, with or without a sunroof, hire a pro coach, and you’ll find a lot more time than you’d find trading for a car with no sunroof. Then of course get a Cup car which has no sunroof, but also has 500 fewer pounds curb weight. 😂

That’s a tough one right now. The good ones are ending up on BaT it seems. Here’s one but a tad more than $100: forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-cars-sale/1165114-1995-porsche-993-c2-coupe-black-marble-grey-67-500-mi.html

The car I had the longest was my 1995 993 C4. 5 years or so? I have had my current '72 911 for almost 4 years with no end in sight. It is fun to try as many models as I can, but that longhood is a keeper. -Derek
