I remember the first time I walked through South Park in 1991-92 I think Avalon's were having a meeting or something, they were deep. I used to go to 49th street school so I would walk through the park to get to San Pedro street then North to Vernon Ave. The very last time I was in South Park was in 2001 on the weekends when Clean & Green would meet up there for work. The East side of South L.A. in the early 90's was a different world from what it is today.

Yeah the east side of south central was sooo fuckn active when I lived in south central. I stayed on the west side of south central, red bandannas hanging on every street sign in my neighborhood and man the eastside was just as active if not even more smh..what’s crazy is Avalon is one of them few main streets that exists literally in only the hood side.
