@@borumohamed7042 why ajuran and garee speak language similar to borana. Not all somalis speak one language . As somali we speak six language but famous one is mahaa. Forexample. Mother we call. Mama, adha, Hindho, habar, hoyoo or hayoo and ngoi. We have different dialect in any language. Some people in southern somalia also speak similar to borana language.
thank you, the issue of Gabra being Oromo or Somali needs serious discussion btw the Gabra elders. I have read the works of Gunther Schlee and I find his work to hold more water and that Gabra are closer to Somali than to Oromo.
Garre and Karre are one and the same. It's Garre koofar that use Karre coz they don't have a "g" sound in their af mahaaw (af Garre). Gabra are part of Garre who are part of the Somali Wayne.

Okay! This is 16th century history. Were these communities existed before that era? I may like to know from where did those 30 men horse raiders exactly came from? Within Ethiopia or Somalia? Prior to the coming of Islam what was the religious practices of Gabra/Garri and the wider somali? I believe Karre/Garre/Gabra were also not born into Islam unless the tribe itself emerged after coming of Islam into existence therefore stop despising others in there beliefs because Allaah knows the best. Same despised might change and become more pious. Anyway, I have learnt something from you though i dont know if this applies to Gabra MIGOS or to all Gabras in Chalbi desert. Gabra were not enslaved by borana, but speak the language because they are descendants of borana women and somali men, and the children learned their mothers tongue especially since the somali returned to their homelands. And even then their dialect has somali influence.

@@amosnaftali2495 Elders know there ancestry and can trace back their linage. You may need education on Oromo elders as our elders know more about there forefathers and ancestors then any historian will. GABRA/Garre ARE OROMO. I can easily find much evidence online aswell.

This is a false history. Gabras are pure Oromos. There are dozens of evidences that Gabras are Oromos. Leave alone Gabras, even Garris are a mixed race of Oromo and Somali.
