So funny story, owning a farm in Indiana, our yield for corn feed ( animal corn feed much like seen here ) went from 8% to 15% being eaten by wild fauna, and it’s due to rising decrease in hunters / farmers in current youth ( and tbf it’s too much work for no reward )
@@ericrivera8410 Although it is true that it's bad to feed the deer like this, it's not for the reason you have stated. It is illegal to use firearms within city limits and around houses, so unless you live way out in the middle of nowhere, hunters wouldn't be an issue. Even if you did live way out, they can't come onto your property without permission (or else it's tresspassing), so if you don't want hunters around the deer, just don't let anyone hunt on your land. The REAL reason this is so harmful is because the deer will start to become dependent on your for food and will stop getting it for themselves and may also lose their fear of humans, which could cause them to gather in areas with a lot of people/approach humans (meaning they might have to be killed) or try to beg for food from people in cars (in which case, they could likely get run over)
Right? So polite! I have a group of 7 in my yard and when one of the deer start eating she will chase the rest of her family out of my yard and come back to finish up, she is such a bully! But this group, they all wait patiently and there no attacks
