I watched your video i was able to set my dual rate on turnigy 9xr pro so easily. Before i saw your video i spend 3 days in frustation try to figer it out saw all kind of videos but no help.Thank you so much for working so hard to make this video i really appericiate this stay blessed
Your series of set-up videos are very helpful. I was in RC hobbies 30 years ago and now I want to get in to the quadcopter fun. Do you have a video of how to set-up a training simulator? (Hotprops, DRL, etc.) Thank you.
Terrific video. Thanks for the instruction. However, there's something that seems counter-intuitive to me. My channels are CH1 100 RUD CH2 100 ELE CH3 100 THR CH4 100 AIL I wanted to experiment with mixing a bit of rudder when I operate the ailerons, so I selected chan 4 and inserted 30% RUD. The list was what I expected - exactly the same as the above, except for CH4 100 AIL + 30 RUD However, the way that it operates the model came as a surprise. When I operate the ailerons, they work exactly as before, and do not affect the rudder at all. When I operate the rudder, it mixes 30% ailerons in - the rudder goes through its full sweep, and the ailerons go to 30% I can make it do what I want by deleting the 30% RUD, and modifying chan 1, and adding 30% AIL, in which case, chan 4 gives me 100% AIL and 30% RUD. Can you please explain this? Is there some way I can see this as being logical?
+Mike Collins Yes... I think you might be reversing in your mind two things: "rudder, the control surface" and "rudder, the stick". Ch1 will control the rudder surface, and Ch4 will control the aileron surface. So, when you mix 30% AIL (the stick) onto Ch1, you get the desired behavior of your aileron (stick) mixing into your rudder (channel). Does that make sense?

In the final analysis, I suppose it doesn't matter whether it makes sense or not, as long as I can achieve what I want - but to my mind, if my aileron is on Ch 4 and I add a new function to Ch 4 (30% rudder), then ch 4 should give me both of those functions. It was a real surprise to see the inverse of the functions being operated by the rudder control. The way the channel list is presented makes sense to me. All a matter of mindset, I guess.
+Mike Collins No problem, nothing better to talk about on a rainy day when flying was cancelled! You're right, it's all a matter of perspective, and this radio software is opposite of many other radios. Always think "my rudder is on channel 1; let me calculate a value to send to channel 1; it will be two stick values mixed together;" and likewise for each of the channels, and you won't go wrong. Thank you for the series of video. Now... how would you recommend this radio? It's on sale at the time of this reply at $69 from HK. But importantly... would you recommend some other 3rd party firmware instead?
Very well done, except barely heard the commentary, and also, doesn't anyone know how to mix aileron and elevator?! NO NOT ELEVON! AILEVON! This so I can put a little bit of up elevator on a left or right turn
