So very true Ed, it is always the most memorable experiences when we are lucky enough to be welcomed by the local population. Even language is not a barrier.
In Canada we always have a bottle of emergency de-gel. It is not really an additive to be used all the time, but a one time use for emergencies. It may be worth it to pack a bottle.
I know, i know, no pork in sight, but that tucker looks Grouse guys! So much variety. A couple of grumpy bums, but lotsa smiley happy people! To see what has become of the 'Aral'? Sea.. so desolate. Great stuff you pair cheers for sharing. Ps.. you know where you can shove that cold! ;)
Stunning facial images. Will done Steph for those eagle eyes and fast legs in retrieving your steps back. How was the local hooch Leigh...took your breath away by the looks of it ??!! Lol
It took me a second to realise what Steph had took off for, I thought she was going to start cracking some heads once she got there 😂 Mate that local booze knocked my head off. That little bowl they gave me was full, I reckon about 3 shots worth in it! The local lads had fun getting the Tourist drunk I think 😉
No pork sign actually was meant to say "clean after yourself" written in Russian. Pork is actually consumed there, though not widespread. "To behave like a pig" is an idiom.
Hey Steph ( I think its Steph managing the Channel), I spent a few minutes looking for a link to your patreon account. Mayby you should put it in the description of every video and also in the description of your channel. Btw. Love your Videos you became my favorite channel on RU-vid. You realy made me also dream about doing such an adventure once I can afford such a nice car.
Hello !!! Thank You Very Much for what I call a very special comment. It's an amazing feeling to know that people appreciate our content. We are not very pushy on the Patreon. Don't want to be too 'annoying' on our videos but on the description page, it's a great idea. Appreciate it. Wishing you to be able to save for some wheels to take you around the world. After that it's cheaper than life in a house. :)
@@GrizzlyNbearOverland thank you very much for this nice answer. It was just a suggestion. An other thing i've been wondering about is how you manage it to have internet all over the world. Mayby you can mention it in one of your next videos.
Great idea. Internet is also easier than you think. In each country we get a sim card and 10 to 20GB for usually $5 to $8 . And ' hot spot ' the laptop for upload. For now only Uzbekistan had very bad connection.
@@GrizzlyNbearOverland oh that is of course also a way you can do it. I thougt you might have some really fancy satellite phone or something like this.
@@daydreamer7067 thanks a lot for the advice and really nice comment, you are correct. I tried to get to Patreon through the RU-vid channel and it wasn't really clear. We will try to get a link in the videos description and in the info page. No fancy satellite phone needed we don't think. The internet has been really cheap and fast so far except, as Steph mentioned in Uzbekistan. Thanks again.
Diesel winter additive: in general oil companies produce/sell only winter diesel (-25°C) from Oktober. At least in mid Europe. But as most companies are globally organized I guess this translates to east Europe/asia as well. And of course as theses are continental climates zones - winter are harder and come faster. [alright - I have not see the vids in the correct order :-). Now I know you had gelly diesel] Aral (sea - not oil!) is such an MASSIVE catastrophe!!! Not just for 60k local people w/o job - but also as this has local AND area climate change! People like Trump and Co should take a visite to see what really happens, if you mess with climate/environment to push (for a voting area of 4 years) economics!
Hey thanks for the comment. We definitely plan to come to India at some time we just don't know when. We have heard so many great things and India has great rock climbing 😉
Hey Jason We have only tried the cartridge style dehumidifier. We very rarely have shore power so the only option would be a 12v dehumidifier which I think would drain our battery... I did a lot of research on the 12v dehumidifier and also not sure it could keep up with that amount of condensation.
Leigh Dearle Do you think it would help blocking up all vents and running a dehumidifier whilst driving or does the problem only existing when you’re inside it? I’m coming from this as an ‘armchair expert’ sitting next to a wood burner on full volume! Dogs farting in front of the ‘burner is the greatest problem I’m currently facing... Happy Christmas & keep enjoying your travels!
Hey mate. Yes the problem only exists when we are inside. Usually overnight when it's really cold outside. Our body heat alone creates condensation, if we run the gas furnace then it's even more. We have heard that a Planar diesel heating system does not create condensation so maybe one day if we have the opportunity I'll upgrade. Watch out for those dog farts mate they are bloody toxic 😜
Thumbs up for the PJ's! Question for you, what size wheels and Tyers are you running? I have. Defender 90 and due for some new wheels soon, lobe the look of yours
love a bit of parkway at the end... keep up the great work mate.. loving watching you guys touring around.. maybe try 5 finger death punch if you wanna try something new ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-l9VFg44H2z8.html a little bit lighter then hatebreed but still good stuff.
Getting better at not getting tempted. ;) In Armenia the dried fruit were amazing luckily our friend David was fast past so no time to shop. Over here I love all the colorful salads/ fermented stuff and Bread Bread Bread more bread. But trying to have a break from it at the moment.
