Please leave the Bahay Kubo interior as it is. If you paint it white, it wouldn’t look and feel like bahay kubo anymore. Are you going to cover the outside walls and the roof with palm leaves? I can’t wait to see the finished look of it…I’m sure it would be so amazing!

Even at 40 years old, you call your parents Mommy and Daddy. I still do the same. I think it’s so cute because of the slight Filipino accent. What a blessing to share these moments with your loved ones.

PLEASE leave your Bahay kubo as it is and do not paint it white. Imagine a white painted log cabin... it’s very modernized and it eradicates the authenticity and feel of what real wood is. It’s exactly the same as the Bahay kubo. It wouldn’t look natural if it’s painted white. Hope you consider our suggestion. 🥰

Rizal seems very well mannered and even tempered. He's an outstanding dog. Edit: my my dog got fixed and she didn't want to wear the cone either, what I did was put a regular dog collar on her and then poked holes around the smaller end of the cone and I ran a thick string through the holes then tied it to the regular dog collar. It worked for me. Because she couldn't take it off being that it was attached to the collar.

You should put traditional filipino furtniture inside the bahay kubo.

Good to see Alma and her family again. It's been so long since they showed up in the vlogs. I remember that one time when Alma took over your vlog for one episode. Nice to see Jabba again as well; last time I saw him featured in the vlog, I believe it was early last year?And speaking of familiar faces, were Awit and Charity the kittens that were featured in your short video with the late Sanggol from back then? So that was the full story as to why you're no longer keeping them. As a cat owner, I can attest that cats basically take care of themselves when introduced into a household; it's like you're living with a small wild animal in the same household. My cat took 3 years to show how loyal she is to me though. The first two years has her being rather haughty and aloof, only coming to me during feeding time. Now though she follows me all around the house almost all the time, most especially whenever I am preparing food and especially when I am preparing something meaty as she knows I will be giving her some tidbits of meat in order to supplement her diet of pelleted cat food haha. Seems like the one way I earned her loyalty was through her stomach.

Leave the natural color of the Bahay Kubo. It's lovely to look at. But, as RJ is the designer, put the color in the computer. Take a look and compare it with 2 colors. Decide is more comfortable and pleasing to the eye. Good luck, mon ami ❤️ 💙 💖.

My opinion - don't paint the walls white. It's a nice wood tone and looks more like the nature around it.

Koblenz! They have a cable car and some nice castles there! The name Koblenz originates from the Latin "ad confluentes" which means "at the confluence" because it's at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers. It was established as a Roman military post by famed commander Nero Claudius Drusus around 8 BC! Dude I SO want to visit Germany. Especially Berlin so I could see the remnants of the wall and take a tour of the city in an East German-built TRABANT!

Black Forest Cake is very popular here in Germany. There is a forest south in Germany called Schwarzwald, translated to English is Black Forest. Koblenz is very near to Bonn where i live :-)

You may paint the outside white so that when you enter the kubo you will be amazed seeing the inside...it's natural color wood...the outside will look elegant specially from afar...

This farmhouse honestly is becoming really attractive to everyone especially me! Kudos to Margrette baking Black forest one of my favorite cakes, and to you as well for giving these German folks a tour as a host! I love being a host too, and I was an amazing host too last Saturday to my Titos who came from the US recently, one of which whom is an American with Filipino blood FYI.

Kubos are suppose to be wood and have that feel. The house is already full of whites and grays. I absolutely love the wood color and the "feel" of the wood.

I think Koblenz is near my sister's place. She's currently at Gödenroth. Germans really like cakes. My mom learned few cake recipes when she stayed at my sister's place.

WOW, What a vlog!!!! It makes me so happy when visitors come, they seem to feel at home right away, so cool! It was really awesome to see Alma again. She looks so young, like Miguel's sister rather than Mother. What an awesome visit! You can find the most awesome baking chocolate in Germany. It really makes a difference having the best ingredients. Black Forest (Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte) is the most famous cake in Germany. It's really the testament of Less is More. It's a very simple cake to make. When you have the best ingredients it turns out amazing! Poor Rizal! He'll be so much better for this. I've seen donuts big enough for dogs his size. Cypher is so amazing, he's such a cute puppy. LOL, cats are quite a funny subject. My friends gave me a Himalayan Kitten one year for my Birthday (never do that, BTW) that I re-gifted to my Mother in a day. Her name was Miss Kitty, and she grew to be a 15 pound fierce ball of fur that lived to be 18 years old. The Bahay Kubo, my thought would be to keep the wood look on the walls or, maybe paint one wall and keep the others "natural". The wood look seems to be so homey. That chandelier tho, sheer perfection! Every place on the farm should be elegant, that's like RJ's touch, I would name it Provincial Elegance, LOL. I totally respect and appreciate RJ's desire to be private. I appreciate all the time we do get to spend with him, he's really an awesome soul. Even though we don't get to see him much, his spirit is very present in every corner of the home. That's good to know about the Sinigang. I'll have to get mine perfected. I'm not dating but, if I were to date, I'd wish it to be a Filipino. I'll have perfected Sinigang and Pancit, he won't stand a chance, LOL. OMG, I totally forgot about the Infrared Thereapy. I actually have a small unit and, paired with some CBD cream the pains go away totally. I was lucky, my insurance paid for all that (it's expensive otherwise). That may be something to consider. I also got a unit that I can use under my eyes to reduce eye-bags. With all the incredible progress on your pool, don't you wonder what was going on before? Ya'll be safe! Hugs to everyone! Alternative insight about the bahay kubo-- You can paint the bahay kubo white but if you do kindly have wooden panel frames of sort as that's usually the aesthetic of a bahay na bato, given the chandelier it will fit well with the whole vibe 💯 Search bahay na bato interiors, floor length wispy curtains ornate wood accents like the one made in paete plus the capiz windows 🔥 Casa de Segunda is one of the best examples. Same style as your house but more filipino, white walls make it appear airy too and bigger so it fits.

I think this visit with your parents has been wonderful. There is so much room that everyone can do their own thing. Like when your dad was on the back porch by himself. That is a wonderful freedom. : )

Consider attaching a thicker rope to that wall & run it diagonally to the floor in front of the net floor. Maybe, create some big knots every 40cm or so, for grip? That way if anybody needs some extra support getting off (you know, because their legs have gone to sleep or something?) it acts as a "safety rail" that'll do the trick & keep the assetic. 💕💕💕

Aww I was hoping we could be your first visitors from Germany! 😊 I think you should leave the walls of the bahay kubo natural, it fits the traditional feel of the building better. I know I am always expressing my opinion!! ☺️😇

I agree that the composite wood walls look fine as they are. I think what's pulling them down and making them look more plastic is the pvc wood ceiling. The pvc wood ceiling, with the plastic wood walls, is just too much plastic wood. It just makes everything in the room feel very artificial. So I think painting one or the other (ceiling or walls) would make the space feel better. Personally, I would opt to paint/varnish the wood ceilings darker, like a dark brown or possibly even charcoal or a deep olive/green (ripe olive from sherwin williams). It would help to make the chandelier pop and I'm not even sure the scale of the chandelier is right for the space to be perfectly honest.

For the cone, cut and run an elastic bandage through the cone area around his neck area. If there's no holes, make holes through it, like 5 of them. Then, make a slip knot, allowing the elastic bandage some play to prevent choking. That's what will keep it from slipping off of him.

Mikey, I was going to comment about back surgeries but I noticed you were getting enough, but I do want to say that you are making a great plan IF you do need surgery. My Dad had exact same issue as yours and eventually had to have the surgery. It was a success and he said he wish he had done it 20 years ago, (his surgery was done in Indiana) my best friend had back surgery performed in Kentucky and a class mate had his surgery performed in Florida. They all went well, were complete success, recovery was fast and all were satisfied. The States or as you said, Canada, is the place to go for surgery!

I own 5 persian cats and yes they're such gorgeous creatures and very independent too. They are their own boss talaga but they're also sweet at times. My male cats are much sweeter than the female ones. And the main reason why i love them is that they dont really stink even if i dont bathe them for many months! Haha 😅 We're all enjoying your long vlogs. Continue doing vlogs like this. It's relaxing. Haha
