The amount of effort to find all the different fasteners, seals, grommets and other small materials is already mindblowing and adds up. And that is without doing any actual work.
that is nice rebuild, I have a cabrio and coupe E30s that need the same thing happening to them. The main issue is there is not really a donor cars with no rust. And even if you find one it is better to kinda rebuild that car mine is 91, I plan to use as many parts as I can from regular non coupe or convertible as possible. And there is E30 Garage Norway panels that can come in handy but I'm afraid the price is a bit steep and shipping on top will break the bank.
@@studentsE30 Yea I read somewhere your estimate at 10k, which is insanely good overall, Last time I checked just the weather strips and rubber seals were close to 3k euro(and that was few years ago) There are somewhat cheap aftermarket panels but their quality is somewhat questionable. I plan on doing all the work myself, as there is no one I can trust to do it properly like you did in this video. My brother just finished his E30 coupe restoration and the shop that did it for him did some very poor things, and it costed him like 10k euro.
Amazing refit! Where fo you get all the new interior things like new chrome and carpets? Also is there somewhere when you can see how all the clips go on a e30? How do you know all the different places to clip?
