Hello the weld professor u are the best good job...

If you check the manual you can run a lighter weight oil in winter .. 10w-30 .. I have the same machine .. starts way easier .. also don’t hold the flow plugs so long .. you’ll burn them out .. 8 Sec max .. rest to do another 8 max .. gotta read the manual with this machine .. You're very knowledgable I appreciate the info I'm trying to get into my local right now we weld uphill in NY up here I'm decent at 6g trying to get good at 5g now 6010 root 7018 3/32nd fill and cap weave with 5g cap 3 bead stringer with 6g I appreciate these videos man if you can do a 5g with a weave for a cap I'd really appreciate that keep up the awesome work man!

Is that the Mitsubishi S4L2 engine? Might try some 5w-40 for the cold season (I like Shell Rotella T6 it's everywhere) and of course the anti-gel for the fuel. This weight oil should be good for -22f to 122f whereas a 15w-40 is only good down to about 14f. Should help her get fired right up

Do you ever get concerned about SAFETY? I noticed that you have taken the guard off of your big grinder. Have you ever had a grinding disc EXPLODE in your face, I have and even just recently, and with a lot of luck I only need up with a small cut on my forehead, but it did peel my hat and glasses OFF! Remember . . . SAFETY FIRST!! ALWAYS leave guards and shields on your machinery, it will save your life some day! Awesome shows, by the way. I was a welder/fabricator for just over 35 years, starting out as a Provincially Certified Pressure Welder, as I welded boilers at Boilersmith, in Seaforth Ontario Canada. An awesome way to learn, and that is from the best. The last part of my career, I made parts for Champion Road Machinery ( road graders), Sifto Salt Mine, both of Goderich Ontario and then Penhale Wagon and Carriage Works in Bayfield Ontario where I did all of the steel fabrications. that gap needs to be bigger to account for pulling after tacking. If you fit it almost shut, it will close after tacking. The fitting work is the problem here

Ah I did the 6g wilding test 2 weeks ago got college. I failed the bent test also I didn't fill the bevel enough sadly only one side. I'm still new to it

pipe that thick in Ontario canada for Enbridge gas, we would bead with 5/32. andything over 6.2mm. some guys will cheat and use the 1/8th

Can you have full penetration with this small gap? My instructor keeps telling me that I have to have about 1/8/ 3mm Gap for the root pass. Anyway like your vids :) .
