Wow. Just wow. I beat and recorded WELL RESTED a few weeks ago already, but I still remember the goosebumps I got playing this for the first time. When watching, you may be asking yourself what's so hype about this level, but the length should give you a clue. There's a massive buildup before the climax of the level, which happens at 3:50. This is where I got goosebumps while playing. The level goes 4:3 aspect ratio before and after this, which limits your sight a lot. Expanding to 16:9, as well as the awesome visuals, on top of the song's climax is probably one of the greatest single moments I've experienced in Geometry Dash in a very long time, if not ever. If watching it in video form didn't hit you that hard, I recommend trying it out for yourself. If it doesn't hit there either, I don't know what will do it for you to be honest.
I think that first paragraph accurately describes my opinions on this level as a whole. Goosebumps. It's always awesome to see creators make very lengthy levels with consistently great visuals throughout. However, how often do we see one that's over 7 minutes long? Very rarely. I've never uploaded any showcase this long at least in my entire time on RU-vid, which is over 1500 videos of most of the best levels in the game.
Besides the length, I love how this feels like the accumulation of all of overdefo's creating skills thus far. You can definitely see a lot of parts that look like previous levels of his. Some of them even drag on a bit long in terms of length as singular parts. However, that doesn't matter when it's over 7 minutes long. There's so much to unpack here, and it's all perfectly synchronized to a great song by Kero Kero Bonito. Note that this is not on Newgrounds, but overdefo had Undervania make a remix of it to put on Newgrounds, so it should synchronize nonetheless.
As for the gameplay, I found it very enjoyable just like most of overdefo's levels. He did a great job making this clear and sightreadable, and I assume all the playtesters did a great job helping with that too. There's a lot of different types of gameplay from part to part, so I never got bored trying to beat this. I did have several deaths far in, but replaying it was no issue. Being able to experience the climax over and over never got old. It's just so satisfying. This is definitely a level you should go and try out yourself. All in all, this can't get anything but an Epic rating. With the length, it may end up as a Medium Demon. Besides that, I hope this gets a lot of attention and is remembered for a very long time. It definitely deserves it.
