I turned into a Karen once but I feel my reasons were justified. My kid brother is several years younger than me and when he was 15 he got his first job working in a coffee shop part time. And me being the overprotective older brother I am decided to go and see how he was doing on his first day. When I walked through the door I see my brother cowering in the corner as the manager (a full grown man) is screaming, I mean screaming at the top of his lungs at him, waving his arms around, calling him a useless ****ing brat and an idiot while my brother is shaking and I’m tears. Oooh I was mad. Now it was my turn to start the screaming. Filming him on my phone as I berated him, informed him I would be calling their central office and would get him fired for being a bullying c*** and told my brother to come with me because no job is worth this and certainly not with this entitled c***. Holding onto my still upset brother I stormed out still cursing the manager and his establishment. Tunes out my brother was given no training and expected to know everything already. And when he kept messing up the manager got nasty. Carrying out my threat I reported him to the company Central office and put the video on the company Facebook page and he was indeed fired and my brother was issued an apology. Unfortunately this incident has left him quite anxious to look for another part-time job since.

It has always confused me why people think it’s okay to touch other people’s babies without permission. Even if they asked before hand, I wouldn’t let a stranger touch my child, but that just might be me. I don’t have kids, but my mom has told me stories of random people coming up to her and asking her if they could hold me. And also since I was adopted they would also comment on how I looked nothing like my mother, and they would almost always assume my mom was cheating on my dad.

At my local anime convention standing in line I noticed some guy gradually cutting in front of people one by one. I was in front of all that so I didn't care too much. I was surprised that they were either too afraid or didn't care. He wasn't even intimidating looking, tbf neither am I. Sooner or later he cuts in front of me but I firmly grip his should and pull him back and say loudly, "Hey, I was behind this guy", as I point at the dude I was originally behind. He sheepishly replies with "Oh." And I continue pulling on him to make sure he's completely behind me. The guy originally behind me didn't jump on that to ensure he wasn't cut in front of either. So I continued grilling this dude, "you weren't directly behind me either. I don't want to see you anywhere within 3 people from me." Too many times I've gotten mad for not standing up for myself. And there's no way in hell I ain't letting shit slide at a place like a weeb con.

Sitting at a red light, one car in front of me. Light turns green, other car doesn’t go. A couple seconds I honk my horn. Other car doesn’t go. Honk my horn two more times. Other driver rolls down window and flips me off. Light in now red again. Spend the rest of the time at that red light leaning on the horn. Light turns green, he goes. Right now, actually. We're currently in the process of resigning the lease and we noticed some potentially fraudulent info in the paperwork our property manager gave us. We politely asked to meet her in person because we had some questions about the paperwork.. her response? "I'm not gonna be in the office, just sign them and put them in the drop box." Uhm.. no. Sorry to inconvenience you by asking you to do your job, but it's not our fault you've had those papers for three months and are just now getting back to us so close to the end of the lease, but we're not signing papers and commiting potential fraud to make your life easier. So yeah.. she definitely thinks we're assholes, but.. takes one to know one, I guess.

My grandmother who was my rock for years passed away due in 2016, once my 'mother' found out....she didn't care but she decided to pull "The poor me card" and began going around facebook, acting all sad just so people felt bad for her. I found out by my grandpa and found it sometime after I got Facebook.... She makes me so disappointed and mad, she also lied about not meeting me yet....4 months after I finally saw her, she put the blame on me for "not being ready yet"... My grandma was a loving person who needed a better family... No one other than me and my grandpa cared about her and we were there through it all....my 'mother' didnt speak to my grandma in 5 years at the time and said something that hurt her own mother so bad that she remembered the moment she passed... I wish my 'mother' felt the pain i did but she didnt and never will be around them In a way i think its an AH move but I thinks more like protecting innocent kids from a monster of a human

Can sort of relate to the Mother's Day story. My mom is still alive, but was emotionally and verbally abusive to me and my dad ever since I was little. My contact with her is very, very limited now, but that's very hard to explain to some people when it's around that time of year.

I have my moment. Back in the day (1996-1997), I was a driver for Domino's Pizza. The store I drove for was well away from my home, but the tips were great. I had worked for them for around 13 months when I reminded the store manager that I was due an annual review (and potential raise). After said review, I was given a raise of 10 cents above the minimum wage. Then, in 1997, the federal minimum wage was finally increased above what I was making, and after adjustments were made, I ended up with a final wage of 5 cents above the minimum wage. I was pissed. Well, about a month later, I ran over a truck tire on a country road, severely damaging my car. Once I got through talking to police, parents, and insurance, I went ahead and called that Domino's store and said that I was quitting due to the car accident. The store manager said that I could continue driving for the store and they would provide a company car for the deliveries. I came back and asked how I was going to get to work and back home. He had no reply.

That older woman that tried to hold the toddler...That's dementia. My friend has it. No respect for boundaries or personal space anymore. She does housekeeping for another one of my friends. So, last week, she decided to 'clean the freezer'. She took out all the meat and put it out in the common area of the apartments for the neighbors to take...prolly a couple hundred dollars worth of meat! Every week, it's a different story...always a disaster. It sounds mean, but I just won't have anything to do with her anymore. I don't have that kind of patience.

Off and on, grocery delivery service was cheaping out by sending less than enough of one item for the price and also giving "discount" opportunities that actually weren't being applied to the final bill. For a while, I would just politely ask for the problems to be corrected, and they'd say they'd do it, but lately they didn't even do it. So the last time it happened, I called them out and threatened to quit their service. THEN I got the corrections for their errors or whatever you wish to call them. Sometimes you have to pull out the stick and leave the carrot behind. They don't give you much choice.

I was watching a video of a guy playing a game me and my brother made, pretty glowing review but I had to stop it when the dude narrating said “my boy resh made this game”. Went into their discord server and saw that ‘resh’ had been posting images and videos me and my brother had put out and claiming literally all our work as his own. Not only our work tho, I realized he was the only person who posted art in their creations channel and there was loads of stolen artwork posted, a lot of it I even recognized. As you can imagine I went off on this dude but he had the most degenerate-vegetable-like attitude towards everything and I just told the channel owner to make sure they don’t steal any other people’s artwork.

I had the mother's day one happen to be. Except my grandpa passed away. The customer grabbed her order and went out the door with shame.

Ah yes. I got one. My essentially estranged father who fate annoyingly threw back onto my path came in the form of my mother kicking me out due to a fight that escalated into her physically assaulting me, around the time my father was getting divorced from his second marriage (he was never married to my mother btw). He never invited me to his second wedding, and I had spoken to him maybe a hand full of times in the past 8 years or so. By this time I'm roughly 19 years old, and very independent. He decides to take this chance of his father generously letting us live in our great grandmothers unit, as long as we kept the place tidy. Now this whole ordeal was fine, I was trying to do studies at the time, having to travel roughly an hour or by train to where I needed to go. What made it hell though was my father. He works as a tradie, so he would trek mud, dirt, and all sorts of crap into the house, and expected me to clean it. He'd constantly talk down to me, belittle me, remark on how I was filthy, if I didn't clean up after him etc, etc. One night I reached a boiling point where I had made dinner DESPITE having gotten home after him, and he had whined about how I hadn't cooked something else. So instead of helping me, or attempting to cook the thing he wanted himself, he made me cook it ignoring the perfectly fine meal I had already made, and sat there obnoxiously wathcing his youtube videos. I was furious. This was the downhill of a very passive aggressive behaviour from me, that also led to me spitefully refusing to eat or touch anything he had bought. I lost so much weight out of sheer spite simply because I refused to eat or cook so I would have nothing to clean. Due to his work he would absolutely cover the shower with dirt, grime and all other things that he'd be covered with on the day. He'd eat his cereal of a morning and stack the bowls on the side of the sink after rinsing them. Then had the audacity to come home and bitch about the shower being a mess, his clothes not being hung out, and the kitchen not being clean. BEAR IN MIND, I was studying 4 days of the week, and often was home later than him. NOR had he been apart of my life for more than fleeting moments in the past 8 years. This man careens into my life after his second failed marriage, attempts to parent me, make me a live in maid, and all around general mysoginistic and disgusting behaviour. I'm usually very passive, keep my head down and do what's asked of me with minimal complaint, but this. Oh this pissed me off. I was irritable, starving, and sick of his BS when he decides to have a hissy fit one day saying I do a shit job of cleaning the kitchen, his tone and mannerism instantly puts me on the defensive and I had honestly hit my breaking point. I snapped back, accusing him of being a pig and stating maybe if he cleaned up after himself there wouldn't be an issue. This man has a full on adult tantrum, when snark him about how he's no right to parent me, he gets all animated, fake weeping with his hands up to his eyes and everything, crying "BOO HOO, so you grew up with out a father!" This resulted in ALOT of back and forther arguing, many words were said that can't be taken back, and nor would I want to take them back. I was seeing red, I had put up with so much shit from him during my childhood, and was now being forced to deal with his self absorbed childish antics as an adult, I very sharply and savagely said. "God, no wonder you've been divorced twice, no one wants to put up with your shit!" at this point I had slowly been storming out of the house as we were hurling words intended to hurt at each other, and when I said this, I felt so satisfied with myself in the moment. Afterwards I'd thought I'd gone way too far with my words, and felt some remorse. This situation led to me moving out, and more fights over the following week until I left. But looking back on it now? With how poorly he had treated me through out my childhood? I genuinely hope those words hurt him, and I don't regret what I said. That man made my life miserable for 0 reason other than his own was miserable. Worst 6 months of my life. I've only spoken to him once since, it's been 4 years now. I hope I never have to deal with him again.

For the story at 21:38, I admit if the cops gave me a chance to move the car of a guy I hated and who had just gotten arrested, I'd be tempted to take the opportunity to mess with all his radio stations and put his seats and mirrors in awkward positions. A person whom my father at first thought was a friend but turned out she was just a leech. A caller ID on the phone one day showed it was her. I picked up and without saying hello announced, "You can't have any money and you can't have any pills so stop calling!" Mothers Day! My mom passed away when I was a child. The next Mothers Day the teacher had all of us get out the art supplies to make mothers day cards. My brother tends to go into my room all the time for things he himself could do, like chores or getting stuff for his schoolwork. One of these times was when he barged in and asked (demanded) me to act out a video he was going to do for one of his classes. I agree since I have no choice and we do the video... Except the video required acting, he was a terrible actor, and it took eight retakes to get a video he was satisfied with. And then he comes back a few hours and says his classmates didn't like it, so we did it again. Six retakes. And then again for seven. The fourth time was close to when I usually sleep and I was getting tired, and then he barges in again and demands we retake it again. Because his classmates STILL didn't like the videos. I was fed up with his shit but my bedroom lock didn't work so I couldn't lock him out, but my bathroom lock did. So I told him I'd do it but I had to brush my teeth. He gave the go-ahead and I went in, and brushed my teeth. And then used the toilet. And then showered (with conditioner and warm water so it took extra long). And then brushed my teeth again bc I didn't do great the first time. Then I sat on the toilet silently watching videos on RU-vid. By the time I got out sort of damp and in a towel he looked pissed, and when he saw I was clean he was extra pissed but I yelled at him to get out and let me change into bed clothes before I yelled for our parents (I've got a female presenting body and an unfortunate case of busy puberty as a kid) so he begrudgingly left, but I could hear him complain to them downstairs while I changed and shoved my bed against the door for extra measure. It's my proudest moment and I'm still upset at my brother for keeping me past my bedtime, but moreso at his perfectionist classmates who kept trying to make him get a perfect score when their grade wouldn't even be impacted as much as their exams the next week. This is gonna be a long one. I used to work at Walmart as a Cap 2 employee. If you know cap 2 you know the blame is always put on you, and they don’t care if you only had three people to do a 2000 piece truck. Well our worst worker (literally did nothing, and kissed ass so hard is putting it mildly. Always tried to look busy when managers were around, told everyone the managers told him he could call the shots pick who he wanted to do what, told us he was our fasted guy and that management agreed etc etc y’all know we’ve all been there) was on of those men that day. We both were pulling out sporting goods pallets to stage for the overnight team. Well he was behind me and his pallet had far less things in it than mine did (both unwrapped) and some things from my pallet fell off while still in the back room. I told him to grab them and throw them on his pallet. To which he grabbed them and threw them on my pallet which they had just fallen off of. This set me off. I started yelling about how he can’t even do basic things correctly, blah blah blah. He told me “You’re being very disrespectful right now, I’m gonna tell a manger” little did he know I have no fucks and I met him with “Go right ahead, when they call me into the office to coach me I’ll tell them how shitty a worker you are” I received no punishment as he knew I was right. Only thing I can say about working at Walmart is, fuck that place. Edit: No punishment because he didn’t go saying anything about the situation. I was definitely over the top but that day sucked and he only made it worse.

I'm generally a kind guy and especially when at fast food places as I understand the stress. I was at the local wendys to get a baconator and I always get it with just ketchup. Well apparently they though I said hamburger and not baconator because I got a double patty hamburger. No cheese, no bacon, and no ketchup. They though plain meant nothing. They might as well haven taken my money and not given me anything. Like why would I order a baconator and not not bacon? or cheese? I actually got mad and raised my voice because even as a 16y/o the older lady I was dealing with (40s or 50s) was less intelligent than a preschooler. She said that plain meant nothing on it and when we asked why she thought that she said that's how everyone does it. Had to explain that no they don,t the jack in the box, burger king and mc donalds down the road didn't do it the way she said and she got all upset but finally made my order right.

My wife and I were driving over a mountain to get to her family’s ranch. It was 10:00 and I had my brights on so I could see if any deer were on the side so they don’t dart in front of me. Of course whenever I saw another car coming I would turn them off until they passed. Only 10% of the other drivers seem to do the same which sucked cause I was constantly blinded and couldn’t see where I was going, and since it was a mountain, there were tons of turns. So I would turn mine off and if they didn’t turn theirs off in several seconds I’d turn mine back on. That got their attention

That following week my mom and dad have their cards rejected 3 times each over one transaction at Goofy's kitchen which resulted in my mom having to really struggle to pay the bill and later resulted in my mom screaming and cussing the bank out over the phone at our hotel room for lying to us. Not me but my dad. It was during scouts and I was working on getting to the next rank can’t remember which but it was one of the last ranks before Eagle, I believe it was star and I wanted to make Eagle before I aged out as I was in my mid teens but for some reason the scout master kept not meeting with me every time when I asked to meet with him as is required to have a scout masters review to achieve every rank, while he was able to do so with others for some reason I was not. My dad who was scout master before this one, and he was livid, and confronted him and he wasn’t nice about how it was wrong that the scout master kept ignoring me, when he had no issue meeting with others in my situation. At the time I thought my dad was out of line because I was and still pretty much am someone who doesn’t want confrontation and not make a big deal about things, but now I know better in that my dad was in the right.

Dropped a friendship that had been going on a 15 years after getting sober at the end of 2020, and the asshole kept saying how drunk he was when I'd try to talk to him later at night, to the point where he sends a picture of a clock, shitfaced, going "I can stop anytime" This to a recovering alcoholic, is more than a slap to the face.

My mom is a very kind and patient woman, it's very rare for her to lose her temper and I've only seen her really angry twice. When I was a kid she snapped at her brother's girlfriend, well more like sang to her. In an intense sing song voice she spell out bitch, while wagging her finger and slowly backing the girlfriend out of the house and onto the porch. My family jokes that you don't want to get my mom mad or she'll sing to you. They still dislike each other, but act civil towards each other.

And one cashier struggling with packing orders. Mass chaos. I take over so that manager (B) can help cook. After the chaos I get to hear cashier and Manager A fight about why it was chaos both blaming each other. They are really going at it and not doing the job. Infront of a customer I howl "WHOOOOOOOO. CARES! ITS CHRISTMAS! BE HAPPY! I HAD TO COME IN ON CHRISTMAS SO BE HOLLY JOLLY OR I'LL SHOVE TREE UP YOUR ASS" Manager B laughs and customer giggles. I get a warning from manager B not to say that infront of customers. And they quit right on new years

Worked at wingstop, had a huge guy come in to scream we are morons because he wanted all flats and got some drums in his box. Then as he was threatening to throw chicken my shift lead tried to intervene, he said shut up dumb bitch to my 62 year old shiftlead who was everyone's beautiful grandma at the store. I was the assistant manager and used to this but my anger kicked in and I told him to get the F out of my store. He freaked out and asked what I would do because I can't speak to him like that, the other employees gathered behind me when I told him I could and to get out. He left and I earned my respect from my employees who I loved and would take care of.

I was at the grocery store during their rush, standing in a long checkout line that wrapped across where people entering the store might have to cross. A woman burst through the doors and made a b-line for my cart and yelled "Can you move?" I said, "Excuse me." She yelled louder, "CAN YOU MOVE?!?" I again said, "Excuse me." She yelled, "I SAID", then I calmly said "Listen, you f*****g C**t. I KNOW wtf you said. I'M telling you the proper way to act in this f*****g situation here is to say... 'excuse me'". The color bled out of her face and she looked down and sheepishly said "Excuse me." So I told her, "There ya go!" and I let her pass. The poor older gentleman in front of me was so terrified he let me go in front of him. 😆

i once applied for a job where i filled out the application form very specifically and provided the references, and sent the application form off. the company then asked me to provide another reference because they weren't able to get in touch, so i provided it. then they asked me to verify what i was doing in the timeframe they asked for by sending me a verification form by email. livid and fuming, i filled it out, attached it by email, then asked them by writing in the email 'i have provided the information of the timeframe of what i was up to on the application form. is there some reason why you can't google the company's hr number?' afterwards, they sent me a letter inviting me for an interview, which i bluntly refused.

When I took my wife to the ER for what looked like a stroke and the idiot woman behind the reception desk was far more interested in asking us rapid-fire stupid questions like "Do you have fever, shortness of breath, blah blah blah blah?" I looked her dead in the eye and replied in a very are-you-a-effing-idiot way "No... Just the stroke." Turns out my wife was ok, she was just having a very bad reaction to the antibiotic Flagyl that her Dr. had prescribed a few days earlier. It looked EXACTLY like a stroke! Slurred nonsense words inability to think and everything. That crap should be pulled from the market.
