Hello we have trees on the verg that look like weeping willows but are Australian with a peppermint like smell .but the 60 year old tree is dying some branches have lost their leaves and look dead . Like to save it but don't know what to do .I live in willagee WA and their old trees like this everywhere but don't know what they are called. Can you help .
Hi, we are based in Melbourne Victoria, so not sure what we can do from here other than suggest that these trees are most likely Agonis flexuosa also known as Peppermint Willow. If they are big trees and you would like to check their health, best to get an arborist to check the tree and do any necessary works. Your local council should also be advised from a safety perspective. They may be able to provide horticultural assistance.
