As a way to raise awareness for the National Alliance for Mental Illness, as well as to honor my dear friend Timothy Akil Hamlett, who died by suicide in 2014, I decided to share my story.
It becomes very easy to suffer in silence and to feel alone in that struggle. I am here to say that you are not alone. You are worthy of everything life has to offer. You have something special to offer to this world. Always remember that.
