@@realmaggymage yep at 1:12:58 i don't even know how that one is possible lol. and then again at ice area 1:18:20. he refused to just bounce off the elevated platform. all good though he's a god gamer. made it work anyway

There's a hover that allows him to clear spokes even after he's hit his head. It's definitely a mechanic. That said it's hilarious that he dies to his own jump height.

Interesting, a metroid vania where instead of power ups its knowledge and because you figured things out by experimentation you got things early. Nice.

I love when games implement this, so it’s cool to see this game where that mechanic is central. One of the games I loved with an aspect of this was Unsighted. On a second playthrough, you can play totally different because a lot of the advancement tech to cross obstacles and kill enemies was purely knowledge based. I should replay it again…

The way Olexa keeps forgetting about the red fall height, over and over is.... Well, exactly what I did. It's so hard to internalize, that your basic jump height is too much of a fall without adding shenanigans

i always found that hint completely out of place, because just to get to that area you probably learned all that already. it's probably there to teach you that there's something beyond 6 block height, but it doesn't accomplish that at all. it ends up being just a accidental red herring if anything

With all these puzzle-y games coming up on the channel lately, have you considered trying Zachtronics' games? They focus on providing a specific toolkit and letting you build the solution yourself with a lot of creative freedom. I highly recommend either Shenzhen I/O (building products out of microcontrollers and programming them in pseudo-assembler) or Opus Magnum (placing and programming robotic arms to make increasingly complex alchemical compounds).

Why would you need to REMEMBER which year is a leap year? Any year thats divisible by 4 but not 100 (unless also by 400) is a leap year.
