Wemby does not deserve every possession because he’s 7’4. You casual losers keep spreading this narrative when wemby is the least efficient scorer out of their 3 best players.
@@tylerhorniacek758 he is 19. We have seen what happens when the run the offense through Wemby (see the Suns series). Just lob it to him by the rim and it’s a free bucket, but our guys can’t do that. Obviously his efficiency can improve, but his efficiency has already significantly improved since he moved to C.
@@tylerhorniacek758obviously not but your acting like he isn’t KD but taller. Wemby can shoot, score, playmake a little, and defend and is 7’4. I would be passing to him most of the time. and most of the time they’ll not pass to him. They guys are taking these dumb shots when wemby has an open shot. He is literally the greatest prospect of all time and while he doesn’t deserve all of the shots he does deserve half. Yes again he isn’t Bron, curry, or KD yet but he still good.
@@tylerhorniacek758he's the best player on your team and still developing, when he's in the paint, or in transition in the pain pass the fucking ball to him. It's almost guaranteed a free bucket.
@@tylerhorniacek758he's the least efficient because he never gets the ball in the flow of the offense. You can't see the full story just by looking at numbers. If you WATCH the spurs game, you can see that the only times his teammates really give him the ball is after a Broken play, the clock is running down, or literally by accident😂 (I'm not kidding. last game, a dude literally tried to pass it to the corner, but the ball hit the backboard by accident, wemby caught it and dunked it lol) If the only time you get the ball is during terrible situations, then you'll probably produce terrible numbers. That's why wembys numbers are better with Trey Jones. Cuz he's the only teammate that actually sees him in the offense
@@bkelly625Whatchu talking about? The only reason why Tyus wasn't starting is because of Ja. Had he played for a team like the Pistons, he probably would've started. Stop playing.
@user-kj1jz8pw3j I didn’t say he can’t play but on a good team neither him or his brother would start. I know what I’m talking about I’ve discussed this with ppl connected to the league before they are viewed as quality backups that’s it. Too undersized, not dynamic enough as scorers and often can be defensive liabilities. They can start for tanking teams that’s it I know it’s harsh but just because a player is popular amongst fans doesn’t mean they are a major building block for a team
Sochan has great court vision. The issue is how raw his passing abilities are and the fact hes never played the PG. Sochan has never been a pass first player. I’m guessing Popp was hoping they could develop him into a good Point Forward but it was hindering the development of the rest of the team. Definitely wild but its wild enough that it could have worked eventually.
He's tryna steal the spotlight. But he's ass so it won't ever work so the only thing that happens is him being making people realize he's just a wannabe Rodman who has no specialty
No he's just the one without a massive ego. The guys that don't pass to Wemby are just jealous that he's been put in the spot light so fast. It sucks to see because if they want any success on the spurs they have to buy into wemby being the #1 option
@@notanfbiagent6835fr but I don’t understand if your jealous of him being in the spot light then play good and win games with him and the spot light will be on your whole team not just him
@@dempseyf_5118wdym compare up and downs. This video literally showed how their offense jumps up for better while actual PG is playing with Wemby (who's a starter). Sochan can have the ball in his hands sometimes. Just don't miss wide open 7 ft 4 guys in the paint and don't take shots you can't make. I bet he doesn't even practice them turnaround fadeaways. He can have point forward position, just please don't take away minutes from the actual PG on the team
@@aitlin I meant specifically, try and measure what is the best case scenario, against the worst case. The spurs are not in a "win now" position, they can afford to fuck around and experiment as much as they want because the potential gain the get from that (jeremy sochan maybe being a great pg) is not outweighed by a dip in wemby's counting stats. They really don't have much to lose by keeping sochan there, it isnt going to hurt anyone's development.
@@dempseyf_5118 you thinking they have time to "fuck around" is hilarious. this is a multi million dollar industry with millions of people relying on it for jobs.... there is no fucking around bud, youve obviously never touched money like that, cuz u know they dont play.... even if you wont take that excuse, wemby is on a clock... any night he can get a season ending injury, so to waste his time like that makes actual 0 sense. pop is just not a good coach anymore. hes old and senile. mans sits on the sidelines and looks like he has no idea whats going on, like hes a fan or some
Trey Jones not dumb. He gotta create that chemistry with the big fella. They tend to keep/pay the guys that do well with the future of the organization 😂
The two reasons I can think of on why Coach Pop is running Sochan the starting PG is first, he wants him to develop into a Draymond-type facilitator on offense while being a rebounding defensive player. The second is he just tanking for next year's draft for a top rookie to pair with Wemby.
they definitely tanking. they have a few top draft picks next couple of years. they playing for a long run here, that of course if wemby patients enough & understands pops coaching
The thing with the way they're doing it is Wemby might not win the ROTY. Why won't you not let your rookie go after the award, knowing that you won't be guaranteed a good rookie next year?
Ikr. You already hit the lottery and you're tryna win more? Tf. And it's not like that draft pick is gonna be good. Imagine tanking and then Wemby losing the ROTY and then they got an ass rookie. Biggest slap in the face for me if I'm wemby. Run the offense through him. He's a smart enough player to realize not to force plays and playmake or let others shine. It's just so plain dumb
He need Luka's usage rate. They're dumb to play that way. If they were playing this way and they're winning then don't fix what's not broken. But clearly it's not working so why not just let the guy run wild and take home the ROTY by a landslide. It's not like he's gonna go full ballhog and not pass. That's gonna help the gravity to be drawn to him and then he can develop his playmaking. But it's the spurs system I guess😬
Imagine hitting the lottery and then hoping to win some more. Mind you draft picks are prospects for a reason. They're not a guarantee. But what they got with wemby is a surefire guarantee as long as he's healthy. Why bother tanking for a pick that has a small chance to be good? God this team is dumb
What's worse is he's probably gonna lose the ROTY award to Chet, when he can win it by a landslide. It's the coaching, not just the players. Other players can shine too, but you already have your generational player. Why not let him have the keys? You got a great coaching staff that wemby won't let ballhogging be an issue for him. He's smart enough to playmake.
@@jjcometa9333 BRUH RFT you hit the nail right on the head. They've been waiting for a player like this and they are just fucking it up. Pop need to get their ass in line.
They were a bad team without Wemby and his talent isn't to make everyone better although he should help. They're just a bad team, things like this should he expected.
@@davidpark2509 Wemby has among the highest usage rate out of the entire league, only falling short of Tatum and LeBron, and y’all want his teammates to pass him the ball more? This narrative is honestly crazy.
It’s ridiculous how his teammates never pass to him, he literally got only 8 touches playing against the bulls, Tre is literally the only dude that passes to Wemby most of the time, they gotta start Tre as the PG and pair him up with Victor cuz they both got good chemistry when on the floor together.
@pedroaugustocosta2533 Facts, he seems more effective getting into position and receiving the ball (Like that Wemby alley-oop pass play) than running the point 😭😭
Pop is also like 1000 years old. The game may have passed him by. He was a great coach but the game is so different now and the spurs have been awful for a couple years now. I’m not trying to hate on him I’m just saying. He’s still a great coach with a great legacy
@@CheeseburgerChester69 You don't know what you're talking about. Pop took a depensive specialist Spurs team and delete 80s and 90s and turned it into a ball movement heavy offense. Don't talk shit about a coach not being able to adjust when youre just chatting out your ass with anecdotal evidence with no actual knowledge.
Tre Jones and Wemby should be the starters and they need to trace for draft Capital to build around Wembanyama and give him a all star caliber player to work with like what Giannis has with Khris Middleton or what Jokic has with Jamal Murray
that’s my favorite team and i totally agree but i also don’t wish for him to get injured he’s a very good player im honestly glad we got em but if they keep treating him like that i fear we will lose him
They're tryna coddle the little babies so they won't hate wemby. Nice one spurs. It's crazy. It's like not passing to Shaq who's clearly the #1 option. I'd be livid
His teammates have to be haters there’s no way you make it to that level and miss simple passes to the easiest bucket on the team, his teammates probably speak on him like lebrons did in that interview when he got drafted to the cavs
Greg is a legendary coach and I can see what he’s doing since he doesn’t care about winning this season at all so he’s experimenting but start tre at the point tired of seeing this tomfoolery
Pop is the one who is telling the guys don’t pass him the ball yes he can go for 25 points and 18 rebounds per game but other players have to develop their skills to
Regular season, they are working on different plays to have for the post season. Very normal to work on your weaknesses and keep your guaranteed buckets tucked.
It's just like having shaq, kobe or MJ in your team and still not passing him the ball, like bro he is the main and the best player of that franchise, and he is the only one who can lead the franchise to championship, so better pass him the fkin ball
Tbf, Devin Vassell is a pretty good bucket so he should be taking shots. Don't know what the rest of the team is doing though. If you're going to take shots, you got to make them at a decent clip. Sochan is a joke.
Then people complain about his effiency, like bro a lot of his shots are like fadeaways and shit which yeah he probably shouldnt be taking but he doesnt have the phisicality, to impose himself yet so he takes these shots cause what other shots is he gonna take? This is on Pop too, the PG Sochan isn't working at all its been time to give it ut
It's pop as well because I noticed when I watched the game it felt like they were tryna get wemby the least amount of minutes they could and I feel like they are purposely trying to be bad for another lottery pick
The young core also needs to learn how to “score” . In a year or two Wemby can’t score 120 points alone, the rest of the team needs to step up. San Antonio is system team that runs with longevity and not the reliance on one player.
They been losing a lot just because of that They need to trade all of them except for 1 person that actually pass to him. Because once he gets frustrated and he demands for a trade they literally Lose out on him Like they need to stop hogging the ball they literally got a number one picked at 7 4 that moves like a. Point guard In the stupid part is the fans are literally mad at the players that's not Passing to him which I can't blame them. Like the city actually went everybody traded on the team And rebuild around wimby.
