Her highest notes in the latter parts of this video really tell me that she has been classically trained. I hope I can see her do more theatrical performances following her collaboration with Son Tae-jin for "Be Deep".
Son Tae-jin had put on a great concert during the Christmas time which featured a bunch of classically trained vocalists, wish Wendy gets to be a part of something like that in the future. I watched it because Minseo was a part of it.
None of her head/falsetto sound that open and that supported though. They don't really retain tonality and her "Halo" are the only ones that sound, which suggest this register isn't that developed.
@@dantan7881 , I'm not really versed in music so my opinion may be ignorant, but I really believe her head voice and falsettos sound good. That might be a shallow reason, but I do believe she can deliver theatrical performances well by that alone. Also, even if that register is not that developed, it is still possible to hone that or maybe perform songs that are either specifically suited to her voice or arranged to fit her comfortable register.
Her vocals are insane. I'm going to do another Wendy marathon. I'll never get tired of listening to her voice and watching her perform. My life, eyes, and ears have been blessed 🙌 😇 🙏
7:16, 7:36, 7:39, 7:44 these Eb5s were all too tense, especially those two from her vlive. I wouldn't call 7:28 fully supported either, it's a bit too light. 7:33 is what it sounds like when she supports Eb5s, notice how the sound is a lot more free and relaxed. I'd also try to find better Bb5s and I'm a little on the fence about that B5 @ 10:46, it's a little thin and pushed.
Wendy does support Eb5’s somewhat occasionally but I feel like the ones here are sort of questionable? she has better ones like that Eb5 at 8:50 it sounds better than Taeyeon’s greedy Eb5 a few years back. She also sustained an Eb5 in that LIVE and it’s supported ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uFEYiJvb8FY.html
Full lyric soprano (bordering light soprano) with quite bright and girly voice, just like melba moore. Melba moore is clasically full lyric soprano, mind you. People would call her light lyric soprano if she's a regular person here lol
@@paledangels her passaggio. Wendy secondo passaggio is C5. If she's JUST light lyric, then she would always has c#5 as her secondo passaggio and she will definitely sound far girly already. 5:10 listen to the audible resonance shift of that C5. She isn't only 'resonate' that note, she SHIFT the resonance. That's what we call a (secondo) passaggio.
@@firethroughtheskies2648 4:35 , that C5 sounded bright and light though. and her voice still doesn't have any characteristics of that of a full lyric soprano, her voice is pretty much bright girly light throughout her chest voice and mixed voice. I don't get how resonance shift has something to do with someone's voice type, her voice still falls naturally there and her timbre still also holds that of a light lyric soprano.
