I was a huge Transvision Vamp fan in the 80's when I was a teenager - she was great. I loved her kick arse attitude, yet she would always wear soft pinks & look so pretty.
Wendy you still look amazing but love your accent and your inteligence just as much, id love a weekend with you for your conversation wendy i find your interviews so interesting ive asked my mum to show your interviews to my nieces hopefully to give them some inspiration, nice to see you wendy i live your music and listoning to what you have to say wendy xxx
The voice hasn’t changed a bit. The cupie doll lips and pixie hairdo though, gone with the years. Glad to hear she’s still a working musician though. Legit
Though this was 2016 Wendy still looks and sounds amazing in 2022. She has gone from Teenage punk rock sensation to very straight out mature class. Her new music is her very own and has her true feelings in it. Toooooo those on here going on about her looks🙄! You do know 1989 was 33 years ago🤷🤷🤦🤦🤦. She was a young lady in her late teens early 20s then! She is now 56 years old! And looks damn good and classy. Not many 56 year old's look that good I can tell you😏! Come to think of it🤔! I know a lot of 36 year old folk that do not look that good. Keep rocking Wendy🎸🎶🎵🎤 totally cool classy lady👍.
Wendy was the hottest chick in the 80s, and yes we all have aged , but wendy seems to have aged alot faster than most , she not even 50 in this interview. I'm thinking the rock n roll life style has taken its toll. But she still sounds lovely when she speaks.
WENDY DON'T WORRY, I'M WITH YOU. VELVETEEN ALBUM, A TREASURE. FOREVER!!! THE ETERN BLONDE... SCREAMING, AND SINGING HANG OF HER HEART. THANK YOU VERY MUCH TO MAKES ME BETTER MY TEENAGES. KISSES FROM BARCELONA!!! I SEND YOU MY WORDS FOR YOU!!! BUT THIS "WOMAN" AREN'T WENDY AND THE PIC OF LP NEITHER!!! 🖕!!!
All this type of music is destructive and self-destroying. No wonder so many hit the booze and drugs as they continue to push barriers and enter realms unnatural that eventually sends them round the bend.
A girl called Janice who hung out with me in the 80s was the spitting image of Wendy James fuck did it make Pepole look and another girl looked like Krissy Hines it was very surreal!! Guess I had a Privileged Life 🤷 🤪 🙃
Never look up childhood idols is the moral of this video. What the hell happened to her face? Why do middle-aged women mess up their faces with lip injections and botox? She looks 60 ffs.
Really? Okay, I'll spell it out...TWENTY-FIVE YEARS HAPPENED TO HER. Any part of this you're failing to comprehend? What did YOU look like in the late 80s compared to now?
There is no need to be nasty, I actually loved wendy and still do! I meant plastic surgery and sunbeds arnt a good mix, take a look at beki bondage that's if you know who she is! All natural
@@amandaskelton495 Are you a moron? I didn't critique the way _you_ looked, I critiqued you judging Wendy James' appearance. Also, can I not be a baldy old perv guy AND beautiful? Pffft.
@@andy6576 no you weren't, read again what you said, look at you, you look as ruff as fuck! That's my appearance, are you thick? There was far worse comments than mine but you didn't say that to them cos you seen my picture, that's why, so that's judging my appearance, you sound like a girl being dead bitchy! As I already said I loved wendy and still do, all I said was what happened to her? You were the 1 judging my looks but it's not about me I'm not the famous person that we are talking about so why didn't you say that to some other women that said far worse than me, you seem like a nasty piece of work that hasn't even got a nice personality!
If she thought the "fish lips" would make her look better - she was wrong!! Loved her and the band back in the day, but she hasn't aged well! She was only 49 in this interview!! Still trying to be a sex symbol - judging by her album cover at 6:55, and like a true rock star - aging disgracefully!!
Posh voice. Very put-on. Sadly the truth is Transvision Vamp were cr*p and Wendy James had ideas way above her station. She thought she was some sort of hybrid of Debbie Harry and Madonna and she was always mouthing off trying to be "controversial" and get herself in the tabloids. The solo album she talks about here, written by Elvis Costello (no less) flopped like a dead fish and that was the end of that.
@@gregmcfarnon1140 Your comment is very unfair and unsubstantiated as to why they were no good as a band. It is also judging Wendy James by a double standard not applied to men. She did not have ideas above her station but was ambitious with talent and not afraid to say so. Too many people take issue with a woman expressing herself confidently. Out of order.
