Hi Nigel, It's looking beautiful. One little tip to comfortably brush the Tamiya Acrylic, 10 drops of thinner X20a, 1 drop of glycerin, a very inexpensive retarder. This Quinta studio set is superb. Mrs Hickson would probably enjoy that build. I might actually get that kit, it's not too big and so interesting. Good continuation👋🏻

Gannett definitely qualifies for so ugly it's beautiful. After a medical issue resulting in forced bed rest upon discharge. Don't tell my fiancee but I snuck out of bed and I'm cracking away at my Spitfire lol.

Hi Nigel, the Gannet is looking really good, what surprises me is why the British painted their aircraft back in the day, such a dark interior colour, are there any Gannets flying these days? Best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia, Les

Hi Nigel , my 2 go to cockpit detail sets are either Quinta or Redfox , and both are great , havnt had any problems with either , do find the Quinta easier to manipulate for shaping , did try Kitsworld cockpits but the quality is no where near the other 2 , so I now avoid that one .

Yeah, I tried some KW masks, they were awful.. apparently there is an issue with their decals now?

@@NigelsModellingBench to be honest I gave KW the benefit of the doubt and tried 3 different 3d decals , and all failed miserably , actually the canopy masks from them were also inaccurate , so as I said previously I avoid them now , if Quinta or Redfox don’t do the sets for a particular kit I’m building then I stick with the kit decals provided .
