Daym, as a former McDonald’s employee (and I admit it has been a couple decades) I can assure you that it’s not a powdered egg, it’s a real egg. They just crack the eggs, blend it, and put it into a carton. At the store is poured into rectangular dividers in the grill. After cooking, they’re folded, then folded again to form squares. They’re called folded eggs and they’re not unlike a mini omelet. But they’re real eggs. The other ones are called round eggs, and it’s basically a poached egg. While I like them both, I do love that round egg.
Very true; Wendy's is soggier and less flavourful. I've had both and I've never gone back to Wendy's; when I went they only offered a soggy croissant or a nasty old buttered burger bun and the flavour just wasn't there. It's funny how defensive Wendy's loyalists get when you speak reality though, they can't handle the criticism. 😂
I kinda cringed a bit when Dayum kept callin' the sandwiches 'McMuffins'. I don't think it was an intentional diss because Mccy D's is famous for their McMuffin staples and it can be said outta habit sometimes, but still. When the cashier was askin for clarification I think they were trying to politely get you to correct yourself to the right franchise you were ordering from and probably got more perturbed when you kept adding 'Mc' to the muffin orders; they probably thought you were dunkin' on 'em by callin the food by their competitors named foods and you're liable to have your food messed with if they think your messin with them. The food might've been better if the employees didn't feel dunked on, maybe give it another shot when the dust settles and when you can take the Mc out of the Muffin.

I'm trying the Wendy's MUFFIN right now and it is perfectly fine. My MUFFIN is soft and the sausage is fine. The only thing missing is the jam that I normally add to my McMuffin.
Here in Canada and other countries, McD's offers the "Mighty McMuffin". You can secret-menu this yourself: simply order the sausage McMuffin and ask them to add 4 slices of bacon to it. It's AMAZING!

They even call it "Canadian bacon" in both countries, which is odd because here in Canada we don't call it that: we call it "back bacon". (Fans of Bob & Doug McKenzie will understand). So if I'm reading you right, then yes: buy a standard McMuffin and get them to add the 4 strips of bacon. Not 2. 4. It has to be 4. :)
I've never had Wendy's breakfast. I'm scared to try the the other breakfast sandwiches let alone this new one. And with this review I won't be and glad I've never tried it. The "breakfast" fries are good. They taste like KFC's wedges b4 they took them off the menu
From a Wendy's employee, that Wendy's muffin was not made correctly. The sausage was not browned correctly, the muffin wasn't toasted thoroughly and I didn't see any of the pepper butter on there either, I'm embarrassed 😳
I just can't with McDonald's in general. I'll take the dry sandwich over them all day everyday. The only reason I watch those reviews is too support your channel
I used to work at a Burger King drive-thru during breakfast and constantly had to tell people the disappointing news that we did not serve McDonald's McMuffins at Burger King lol.

I have moved over to a sausage McMuffin over the bacon for the same reason when I am out and crave one of these..bacon not cooked long enough is such a turn off. And that isn't powdered egg. Its just eggs beat in a big container and poured on the grill. Kind of like an omelet but smaller. Regardless though, this review is why I have gone to cooking my own bacon and eggs and toasted muffin at home. It's never consistent and I like my bacon crispy!! ;-)
The Wendy’s here in Indiana is superior with breakfast. We have something called a Hoosier bowl, it’s their breakfast potatoes topped with sausage gravy egg and cheese and it’s 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 🔥

Daym's ordering McMuffin's at Wendy's...I once tried to order a Big Mac at Burger King and the lady just said "We don't have those"...Mistakes were made. 🤦🏼♂ P.S. College life hack for you. Stir an egg in a coffee cup. One minute the microwave. Toast your English muffin and add your cheese and you're out the door. Try it and thank me later family.

Faux egg (folded egg). You got fegged. McDonald's fegged it up with that BEC McMuffin. As for the Wendy's muffins, they weren't fork-split, they were sliced, and left untoasted. And that sausage patty was more anemic than a stage-4 leukemia patient. The one thing Wendy's does great is their bacon. They pan it beautifully! I would sometimes kit-bash the sandwiches, since McD's is across the street from Wendy's. I'd get an egg and cheese mc muffin, and then go across the street just for some Wendy bacon.
