Just for research purposes...👀 why do you guys ship Wenrene? Like I know my reasons but just curious why you ship them! Comment below (it can be long I’ll read it all 😉)
1. They so cute together and attentive 2. They can stare for hours non stop 3. Their dynamic parents status 4. Irene laugh the hardest at Wendy's joke. And smile alot at her. 5. Irene mimics Wendy's movement and English word (mimic is sign you in love) 6. It seems IF there's any problem, they both RUN to each other to fix it 7. Irene said her ideal person are warm and able to tolerate alcohol: both are Wendy's 8. They both love to hold hands if they can. Hold hands relieve stress and bring calmness I remember when they accepting award, Irene's eyes dilated at Wendy. you know when they said Love makes your eyes shine. This is my opinion *before* I shipped, I paid alot attention and analyze their body language
Because they've proven that actions speak louder than words. Their body language speak so much (the staring, the hand holding, and many more), they don't have to say a lot about how much they love each other but instead show it, and when they do they both just get lost into their own world, and I think that's the most beautiful thing. Everything about them just comes out so naturally, and that's what I sign up for. 💗💙 They are not here for fan service or sort of. 🙂
Honestly didn’t plan on shipping any when I first joined RV but damn Wenrene, I jus fell (real hard). I guess it’s how genuine their interactions are, they are not that touchy but it’s all in the eyes. Aft falling, I realise how their interaction and they way they reaction to each other is diff from the rest of the members. And honestly the angst(the Cold War) and the jealous irene really jus makes this ship seems more real, not a show type of rs that is all roses but instead a more realistic rs with fights and all. And well they are some instances when the members seem like covering their obvious loving assess too and how Wenrene know all the TMI of each other (the mosquitoe one is really not getting out of my mind). But honestly let’s jus say it’s Cus irene fav butt is Wendy’s XD
1. Seulgi, joy and yeri claimed wenrene as their parents (they said it a lot through interviews, wendy mostly is the mom while irene's the dad and also in level up but it's the opposite lol) 2. Irene would date wendy if she was a boy 3. Their ideal types: irene wants someone warm (wendy is irene's personal heater and she is a funny person), wendy wants someone older than her, someone like her dad (irene is the mom/dad of the group) 4. Intertwining fingers which is common for couples 5. Wendy who would really try her best to warm irene 6. Their intense stares 7. Irene who tries to cheer wendy up in her toughest time (like in LUP s1) 8. Irene receives most of wendy's greasy lines (lol) 9. "Wendy's irresistibly attractive face" of wendy 10. "Best woman of this generation" of wendy And ofcourse, we can't forget the "cold war" seriously, you can really say that they still smile at each other in private, glance and care at each other.

Whatever kind of relationship these two have we can’t deny how genuine and attentive they are of each other. I’ve seen videos of them looking at each other like they were talking with their eyes 😍😍 without uttering a word. I remember watching the (Would U live version) they all looked at each other. But the way Irene looked at Wendy it was different like her eyes were smiling and saying something. I get that all of the members are close and i’ve seen videos of all the ships. But these two hit differently FOR ME.
i was a seuldy shipper at first but then i realize that irene is always looking for wendy either her attention or approval. i’m a very observant and intuitive person so interactions between members gave me an idea of how their relationship are, so wenrene hits different, i realize seuldy it’s more like a sister friendship (like those friends who’ll be with you forever, not romantic) and i feel the same with seulrene, we know they are the most known ship bc of their visuals and long friendship. wenjoy: it’s like wendy has a platonic love with joy bc come on who hasn’t lmao, but seriously for joy wendy is a reference figure (she admires her so much it’s so cute) and wendy’s makes sure joy feels confident about herself. wenri is like older-younger sisters relationship, as a maternal instinct from wendy, i can see how she’s proud of the maknae even when they tease each other lmao (plus yeri also sees her like a reference and admires her). so finally wenrene: irene’s body language always screams wendy for me, whenever wendy’s talking she’s like 👀 and rotates all her body to see wendy (a sign of 10000% attention, she doesn’t do it with the rest of members), always wanting to be in physical contact with her, 4:57 you can see how even when irene is between the wall and wendy her hands are on the side and not in front of her, wendy’s going to invade her personal space to put her hands on irene’s face and she has a open posture, what i mean is irene could be feeling trapped between the wall and wan nexts movements and put her hand in front of her like a sign of “back off that’s my personal space” 🤚🏻 but she isn’t. anyways i could do a whole essay of wenrene but that would be delusional lmao, not an english speaker so sorry if i made mistakes.

Like you said Irene is always paying attention to Wendy. If I can make a compilation of how many times Irene is staring at Wendy during interviews while the other girls aren’t it would be 20 minutes long lol.
Seulrene may be the most POPULAR one coz they have lots of promos, teasers, sub unit group, photoshoots together but to me WENRENE looks so REAL... seulrene interactions just look like 10 years of friendship.. best friend more likely.. About WENRENE, they are totally different.. i have bestfriend but i would never do such thing as staring too much with my bff when she talks (directly in the eyes passionately).. that stares really a killer u know.. plus, irene with her bare hand touches and wipes wendy's sweaty face in public (i saw it twice if im not mistaken during redmare us tour and la rouge concert).. only lovers will do that tbh not even BFF can do that.. hahaha.. * sorry for my bad English

for 4 months she did not say even a couple of warm words about wendy. joyermseul showed that they miss seungwan in their own way: joy and seulgi sharing really touching photos and messages, yeri too after la rouge and sharing their conversation which were very encouraging for those who miss wendy. baejoohyun ignores her like she's some kind of disease, she will better share pics of spoiled food. this has happened before though: she completely ignored wendy during certain eras in earlier years. if leadership and `love` mean pretending that your member/friend doesn't exist....👎👎👎 gentle-wan deserves better?? @@najwanajat6909 your opinion has valid points but my opinion, joy is too on her own, yeri and seulgi are real family for her, she is always gentle towards them, wendy is just an exotic canadian toy for her which she easily manipulates using seungwan's affection this was especially noticeable on days when wendy had a hard time bc of health problems she could easily fondle her one day and the same day kick her like a puppy it's ~her only~ toy, that's why she is possessive with her, she never likes wendy's solo activities outside of the group she can't control
Okay sorry, this might be a little long: I'm not going to lie, I always find ships kind of delusional and sinkable after some time but man Wenrene is something different. I say this in my personal perspective of things because I am LGBTQ myself. I 100% identify with Wendy because of the way she acts when it comes to Irene and I think what everyone speculates is true. 1. @3:27 @2:17 @5:11 and @4:05 - when Wendy's hands always gravitate behind Irene's back (especially lower back while walking) shows a sign that she's kind of like a protector (making sure she goes forward first, protecting her from people behind her, kind of like a human shield) 2. @5:18 - the rubbing arm/back gesture Wendy does when someone's cold. I know she does this a lot for her members (she's a Canadian and is used to the cold) but when she does it for Irene, she tends to grip tighter than she would for the others. 3. @0:16 - little simple gestures like Wendy giving Irene a massage (Irene massaged Wendy's leg also) shows that they are comfortable with each other and that they care enough to use their own strength to relieve the stress of the other. When my friends/family ask for one I'm always like "ew no LOL do it yourself" but when someone I like-like asks me to do it (I do it right away. yeah i know, pushover LOL). 4. @0:21 - this was around when Irene and Wendy had their awkward stage (from their fight/distancing I'm guessing from Wendy's public face holding acts?). You can feel the tension before they started eating and the space between them. It looked like Irene needed help cutting the lasagna and Wendy willingly helped her with her body diagonally leaning towards her direction (like she could've just sat straight doing that). I react the same way when I get into a fight with my significant other. Even if we fight I always do simple things like that to help, out of love. 5. @4:35 - Wendy grabbing a piece of paper for Irene to fan herself because she said she was hot (note: she got up extra fast without even thinking). Okay like Wendy could've just past her the paper but she fans her with it herself! I do this as well. 6. @4:40-4-50 - Wendy always making sure there is food on Irene's plate and that she eats first so she is full. 7. @7:14 - a typical "i will take a bullet for you" gesture 8. @1:07 - Okay who gets mad like Irene did when Joy pulled Wendy away from her. I don't even get mad like that unless someone takes me away from someone I like. 9. All the hand holding, INTERLOCKING of hand videos out there. They do it a looooot, man I don't even do it with my best of friends, esp girls. There is something in the science of love that you develop/boost neurotransmitters like dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin etc. after holding someone's hand/physical touch with someone you like that you feel closer/connected in a way (if that makes sense). You tend to fall for someone after awhile if they become physical with you as time goes by. 10. Not in this video but there are instances where Irene would mention about Wendy having a nice voice and the way Wendy would react on the side (messing with the minion toy shyly, the gasp of air). I also do the same thing when someone I like compliments me, I can't contain myself and embarrassingly smirk/smile. 11. This is also not in this video but in their La Rouge's concert during "Light Me Up" when Wendy changes the "ooh boy" to "ooh girl" (i know it's for the fans too) but she sang it with hella extra passion (lol). No hetero explanation for that. Periodt. There is so much more but this is getting too long haha. Anyways, I do believe Wendy is in love with Irene. I think for awhile now but due to certain circumstances (Korea's beliefs/company, dating contract?/netizens/bashing) she has to kind of hold it in. As for Irene, I feel like she's a closeted/confused gay. She's literally the face of Korea and something like her coming out (if she ever did) will cause an uproar like "she's so beautiful, what a waste, etc". I don't know if it's just me but I think after their "Cold War" era and Wendy cutting her hair short, Irene looked like she started to fall for her and reciprocated a little more, too. (Example: Irene have her stand near her most of the time, wipes sweat off for her, the constant eye contact when the other is talking, etc.) We don't know what's going to happen but I do hope that they go with their hearts and wish them both the best. This is my personal opinion and I'm not here to offend anyone. But yeah, thanks for coming to my TedTalk. :)

I still remember when I used to be a seulrene shipper (it was about 2-3 years ago) because I always thought they are so affectionate especially towards each other but then I found some videos of wenrene moments I realized that Seulrene's relationship is a sisterly relationship bc they've been friends for 11 years and they've grown confortable with each other and I understand that but unlike wr who's relationship is so intimate, (I know so because I'm bisexual and I used to like this girl and I act so affectionate to her compared to our other friend) the way their eyes sparks when looking at each other holds a deeper meaning, the jealousy when the other is not paying attention to them or being touchy and chatty with other people, and those intimate hand holding is so cute and sweet so I don't mind if they date each other even if it's secretly or not I'd still support them as long as the ship sails I'm shipping it Sorry for any mistakes english is not my first language

They remind me of the relationship I started back in high school. I was kind of a class clown, always making jokes, being cheesy, and was well known as a tomboy. There was a sort of beauty queen in the class who was not just beautiful but also sweet, composed, and super popular. At first glance nobody thought we had anything in common; not to mention we were both girls who never discussed our preferences. I had a huge crush on her though, but never expressed it because I didn't know if she swung that way and didn't feel I deserved her even if she did. One night, at a mutual friend's slumber party, we connected a lot more than ever and at some point had a moment alone. She told me that hypothetically if she wanted a relationship it would be with me because I was the best of both worlds; the body of a girl but the personality of a guy. I thought she was mocking me so I gave her a quick peck on the lips just to freak her out. Surprisingly she kissed me back but for real. To this day our high school friends still don't know we're dating 😂💕 no one knows because it's not accepted in our area. But I would do anything for her, even if I don't show it when we're outside.

reading all the replies and i'm glad i'm not the only one who noticed their eyes when they looked at each other, and their holding hands...even sister doesn't interwhined fingers like that when holding hands, and also i've been shipping every groups but not THIS hard like why i did at wenrene....i mean when i started shipping idols maybe a week later i forgot that i ship them because it became normal for me the interaction would be too fanservice for me. BUT wenrene is different it's been almost 8 months since i started shipping them. RED VELVET is one of the popular gg's out there and they don't need to pretend like they like each other so that they can make more fans...(y'all know what i mean) it's more than THAT. i'm trying not to be delusional okay. but it's wenrene who's messing me up. other ships is too normal for me. wenrene must be real. needs to be real. Searching for new ships after reading a kryber fanfics and found lot of them mention about seulrene couple but when i watch their interactions, i don't get the feeling of someone in love? More like normal interaction between siblings/bestfriend? Then i found wenrene and it just natural interaction but there's more into it? I don't know how to describe it but it just pure interaction of someone in falling in love? I watch alot of ship from the past, taeny, kryber you name it from girlgroup and most of them it's either fanservice or just how bestfriends act around each other but not wenrene. I tried to convince myself that maybe that's how wendy act around her sister since both irene and her sister the same age but nope sisters don't do that stuff. So yeah i will continue to ship them hard and thanks for this video btw😆😘
