Hey Chrome make sure you take your van to a car wash and then run your fans vents while you are not in the car. Once the weather gets hot any spots not cleaned off properly will result in fumes which will evaporate again. Take it from someone who has experienced it before. We had a canister go off before we went camping one time.

Yay! I’m so happy someone gifted you Norwex! With every video I watch folks cleaning their vans or talking about personal hygiene I want to shout “you need Norwex!” Clean with just water! And the soap like products are all super concentrated - a bonus for van life. So glad you got all the pepper spray washed off. What an unexpected morning!

Michael Whalen Jr don’t know for sure, but unless you have help to mix the chances of you doing it after being sprayed is pretty much nothing. That shit hurts just as residual, if you take a concentrated blast to the face you’re pretty much in agony until it either wears off or you get help.
I know you don't plan on having additional incidents like this, but just in case: grab some milk of magnesium at your local pharmacy store. When you mix that with water, 1:1 ratio, it will help with the burn. Straight soap and water can agitate the burning further. Also make sure you wash the clothes an rags you used for the pepper spray Separate from the rest of your laundry. Once that stuff gets into your clothes you want to get them off and put them in a bag separate from the rest of your laundry. Sorry that happened to you, but glad that both you and Cruz are safe. ❤❤
I have no clue if it would work for pepper spray, but I have a thing for when I chop onions and peppers (and a few other stinky things). I save spent coffee grounds, let them dry, and take a pinch of coffee grounds and a drop or two of dish soap... And scrub. It removes the smell and the stinging if I forgot to keep my hands away from my eyes (and other sensitive parts). It also works great on feet, but that's a different motivation.
So glad Cuz seemed unfazed by the whole incident. Big bangs can really set off a dogs fear responses. I thought it was kinda cute when you were washing up and he had his head turned giving you a little privacy. I had to giggle when just his eyes would turn to peek at you a few times. A real friend gives you your space in moments of weakness but is still close enough to show support. I subscribe to Dawn's channel as well. I know she idolizes you and has said you're a big influence. She's right, you are. Those towels are awesome. Dom and Marie will be coming to Vancouver again. Sorry to hear you got pepper sprayed Chrome. I heard that stuff feels awful! I just bought some pepper spray and bear spray for myself for camping. I've tried to make sure I know how to use it properly so I don't get myself accidentally!
