Give me Barnhurst. Vera living a quiet life with her bub and jake. Working at the prison. Give me The freak stalking them. The possibilities are endless. I'd hope Netflix buys the rights and makes something more from it.
I'm in the UK and have watched every episode and I'm so gutted it's over. Its been a fantastic programme with some of the best actors I've ever watched. I'm not ashamed to admit that when they started playing " He used to give me roses " at the end, I cried 😭 . Thanks to the writers and cast for such a fabulous 9 seasons, I'll miss you all 💕
Never thought I would enjoy a prison show but this is one of the best shows I have watched. There were so many love/hate feelings with most actors. When you can make your audience hate you, you have done fantastic performances! Great job to the writers!
OMG You never seem to know what Ferguson is gonna do...or how psychopathic she really is. Wow wasn't expecting what she said to vera...I agree she definitely had a special place in her heart for Vera. I mean who would fall on their sword when the court trial was in her favor I mean I was completely in shock. This season Joan grew and she truly has a heart of gold.🧡🧡🧡
All of these characters will always have a special place in my heart. So well written and performed. They've made me feel every emotion possible over the years. I'm really going to miss it so much. Most shows have a season or 2 which is a struggle to get through, but this show never had a bad season imo. So great to see them all "together" talking about their experiences, after having just finished watching the finale (from the UK). Nothing but respect to all involved. Phenomenal show and phenomenal cast. 👏👏👏
Well written isn't how I would describe season 8, the last 20 episodes. They were cringy at best and eye rolling at worst. I had a very hard time getting through the finale 10 episodes, especially episodes 6-9.
I loved this show! I miss it and very depressed, NOW WHAT DO I WATCH? LOL Also, Nicole(Franky) you are one of the BEST actresses on this show. All of you were! It felt like REAL LIFE watching this show, not like I was watching actresses and actors! Fell in love with everyone! Thank you Australia for 8 great seasons:-)
I could legit cry. I’m so jealous I just learned about this show last year. I watched all 8 seasons in three weeks. I finished season 9 in two days. I’m going to miss wentworth, I love this show
@@Misssjada they put the new season under season 8. So it’s like 20 episodes for season 8 on Netflix, but the first 10 were released last year and the newest 10 episodes just released
I loved the scene where Rita and Ruby are singing their traditional song when their father passes away. Was so beautiful yet haunting. Rarriwuy was spot on when she said it was great to bring those bits into the show to educate us or highlight to those of us in other countries, not just Australia, about their culture 🥰

I watched the very original Prisoner Cell Block and Wentworth and will anxiously wait for the next Wentworth…absolutely the best series ever and will never age out. Rebuild the prison and bring it back! I can understand how tired the writers must be. Let them take a break to refresh their brains and then….get back to work! We want more Wentworth.

I'm in the US and I had to wait a very long time to see the end of the show. I love it so much and tried to get anyone who would listen to watch it. So many times these women made me cry. I only saw the ending yesterday and it was worth the wait. I'm not ready for it to be gone so I'll go back and watch from the beginning. Bea, Frankie, Boomer, Ruby and all the rest, much love from the US.

I’m from the USA and my Mom actually started me on this show and I was completely hooked from the first episode! I binge watched it every night for weeks, until the last part of Season 8 came out. I am going to absolutely miss this show. It is absolutely one of the best shows I have EVER watched! I wish they would do some sort of spin-off!
I've literally watched it from beginning to end over 12 times. Everytime a new season started I would rewatch it and typically watched it from beginning to end atleast once, twice a few times in between seasons. So the first couple seasons especially I've seen the most and can literally quote it word by word.
What an amazing ride,Wentworth! I started watching it as soon as OITNB was over. I must say that this is far more superior and riveting to the brain and the eyes. So sad that it had to end but the last episode finished it off quite nicely. Thank you!

Just finished the last episode today and wow ! I feel like a void now that it’s all done but also brava and bravo what an emotional rollercoaster !!! I wanted and needed more but I’m always scared of a spin- off but with these writers this might be the one that exceeds like they did every time!
I absolutely loved this show, I can’t believe it has finished. I hope they do some kind of spin off or movie.🤞🏻 My favourites are definitely Franky, Allie and Ferguson. ❤️❤️❤️

For those of us of a certain age who watched Prisoner cell block h here in the uk throughout the 80s and then Wentworth..for it to end with “on the inside” play over the closing credits I was genuinely choked up!the show had come full circle after 40 years. Astounding.
The only issue when they had Prisoner cell block H is it would be on at 12 30 at night and our video recorder was broken so because could never miss a episode would stay up then having to drag myself up for college next day lol I am obsessed with prison programs drama but god knows Iam not a bad girl and certainly wouldn't want to end up in one lol

As I was growing up I watched the original prisoner, but all you ladies brought it to another level in a good way. You were all great actor’s and enjoyed watching your version of this show well done be proud of yourselves ❤️
Hello from America . I and my 3 daughters , have loved wentworth. We were so glad to see that they brought back the original beginning, for the final episode.
I just finished the finale and it didn't disappoint. It made me cry and cheer for joy at the same time which is the same way I felt when I saw the very first episode. I have watched Wentworth at times when I was having an emotionally sad day and it had this magical way of making me feel that these women were my best friends (in my mind). So here I go starting for the 20th time all over again from the very start Season One Episode One where it all began. Thank you for the best show on the planet!
Having watched all 650 or so episodes of the old series and having just finished Wentworth i can say the writers, actors and crew did a superb job. What a great scene when the girls sang the Aboriginal song for their dad
This is the only series I've ever watched that had some of the best characters come and leave the show and it still be amazing! A lot of times when the best characters die off the show goes down hill. Not this one. My favorite show ever!!
I've watched this show since it first came to the UK not only eagerly waiting each year for the next season but I've re-watched it, I'm devasted its ended and from reading the comments of how it's being received in the US I really really think they should reconsider picking it back up whilst bringing back franky..... if not at least a few spin offs on individual characters. Either way Wentworth was amazing
I love this show and I will miss it when it is done. The women and men who took part in this are all beautiful people. I am from Canada and I have not seen the last season. I am looking forward to watch it.
Im absolutely devastated that its over its finished ..i loved most every character and will miss you deeply .i feel a huge connection with you espically frankie, bea smith ,boomers ,liz ,kaz, marie and so much more loved you reb and rita and roo ive cried all day and ill cry everyday until i realize it all over .the writers did a fantastic ending awesome writing .. you fufilled me life for 9 years and i fell in love with the characters..frankie and bea smith and allie you'll touched my heart and boomer and liz .. i adore about love you all ..vera im so glad you made it a daughter does need her mom ..it would take me all night to comment on how i feel about you all ..i loved the love between lou and reb and frankie and bea .. you all may be just actors but you lived in our living rooms our hearts our souls for 9 years and no other program can even have this affect on me ..ill cry for the next week mostly because ill miss your characters your spirits and the fufillment youve brought into my life ..i cant believe its over .its really over i love you all and wish you great happiness the happisest loving lifes and plenty of knock out roles in your future ..im already grieving the loss of this how and all of you .. you guys have been through so much with me including stage 4 colon cancer.. you brightened up the days i couldnt even get outta bed ..thanks for everything..love you all always and forever .. you'r biggest fan ,kimberly ..
One of my most favourite Australian films is The Well , with Pamela Rabe and Miranda Otto ,due to the demise of video and dvd, its hard to find these days .
From prisoner cell block H to wentworth best ever just pray their will be a continuing show for the future I noted by the way they ended it could open with the prision rebuilt and ferguson coming back after stealing little grace and her becoming top dog also even bea could come back as a different character then the show begins 😀 to all the cast in my eyes your all top dogs great show guys and your all be missed ❤
I’m so sad it’s over. I’m in the US and recently binged on all the episodes. Now i’m watching again - but only when i’m exercising or cooking lol. I miss my friends 😭😭😭😭
When I was young I used to watch Prisoner in (South Africa). When Wentworth first started I watched the first episode and it didn't really grab me. THEN... Leah Purcell came on board and I was all in. I watched from season 6 through and and then went back and watched again from beginning to end.
@@samwilll but she’s what got everyone hooked. Her presence was missed the most, I still mourned for her and hoped that she’d come back every season after.
